What are the things you fear most when joining a battle?

Recommended Posts

As a non-buyer Asida/Hornet, many things.

Will I be able to even get out of our base to help my team?

Are they suicide players without any knowledge of how to play peek-a-boo and shoot? (sit in the wide open spaces while their weapon is reloading, for example, when they could easily hid for a second or two). I have better things to do than to try to keep these types of players alive and then die in the process.

While I follow my team mates into battle will I live long enough to be an asset?

The life of an Asida can be very nerve wracking.

you want to get yourself a medium hull, and use your teammates as shields to get close to the enemy base, ad then attack the enemies on your own if you're team is noob.

play pro battles more, because isida is in high demand there.

You're right. I chose Hornet as soon as I was able to buy Asida because it was a bit faster and a little smaller. Faster to get to my team mates to heal them and smaller makes it easier to hide in small spaces.

My Hornet M2 has 1500 armor protection.

My Hunter M0 has the same

My Viking M0 has 1544.

I could use either one and MU it all the way up to M1. But from there, I would have skp over M1 and buy M2. Once a player becomes eligible for the next upgrade, the lower Modification becomes inaccessible. For instance: If I become eligible to buy an M1, I can no longer buy an M0. So, instead of wasting my money on MUing an M0, I'll spend my hard earned crystals on MUing my Hornet M2.

As a side note:

On one of my lower accounts, I bought a Vulcan after they had been out awhile. By the time I had MUed it up to M1, I was already eligible to buy the M2. So, now I'm stuck with an underpowered M0. It would take a very long time to save up enough crystals to buy an M2 and I'm not about to start wasting my real world money on a game that doesn't care if I have food on the table, if the bills get paid, or gas in my truck.

Going into a new map and being one-shot killed relentlessly before you can even get a chance to see what the map is like.

What? You get to see a birdseye view of the map between the moment you are destroyed to the moment you respawn.

WaspShaft98, thank you for the Polygon drugger story. I have to wonder about "players" like this. He's obviously spent a lot of real money to buy Tanki equipment. He then uses this purchased advantage to the maximum limit even to the extent of using the change-sides exploit. His reward for all this investment of real money? Crystals. He spends $100 cash to "win" an in-game prize ... a prize he could have simply bought for about $5.

This guy has 310 exp points and has earned about 125k Crystals. I have an account with ~350 exp points that has earned 400k Crystals. I've spent zero cash.

I win.

I run an Isida / Hornet too. It's both great fun and a force in battle. You need that speed to get where you are needed. Learn to drive like an absolute maniac, swerving and turning and reversing direction at SU speed all the time keeping your turret aimed at a constant spot. When you can do this in combat the enemies melt before you. So you can fight back oh yes.

But healing allies is the key. You are right about giving your support to those who most deserve it. I'll heal anyone I can - but that does not mean getting waxed to save a team mate who cannot save himself. So anywhay when it comes to healing I have two bits of advice:

Accept the fact in general your goal is to extend the fighting abilities of your immediate teammates as long as possible, That means you are going to die a lot. Don't let that bother you. Your goal is to extract the most out of each spawning. In some cases you've kept your teammates up as long as you can, you are out of energy, the incoming fire is still hot ... so you drive into the line of fire taking up the damage meant for your teammate. That's a satisfying way to go out.

Second is simpler... don't be afraid to use DDs a lot when HEALING. DDs are great defensive boosts for the Isida team.

Do these tings and you will rack up the points and the team wins .. together those spell C-r-y-s-t-a-l-s.

An error occuring as soon as you join

Or as I had thee other night, 6 errors in a 15 minute game. I kid you not. 6.

please tell me how do you that.

on my best account, my cry / exp earned ratio is only 0.70, how do you guys manage to get it above 1.0?

even if you win every game, you get fewer crystals than your score

the profile only shows crystals from battles earned, not from missions, so how come ratio is greater than 1?

do you play those 999min battles and join in end?

Having a better cry/exp ratio doesn't mean your in-game experience was better...

Don't play too much. To get the best cry/exp ratio you need to complete your missions and then log out, if you want to play more just make sure to win all the battles you enter (by joining the stronger side, playing with friends...)

Bonus tip: DM offers a very low amount of exp and a fairly good amount of crystals, but you need to always finish in the first positions.

I've started playing a lot more lately and my cry/exp ratio dropped from 1,5 to 1,45, but I don't care anymore since I'm not a low rank.

sorry for being unclear

what i meant was crystals shown on profile page (these are not our total crystals earned, but only ones earned from battles).

ratio of that to xp, not total crystals to xp

crystals that we earn from missions and premiums don't show in the profile page

playing dm is one good idea, but you always have to kill steal in that, which can be quite tricky

I think crystals earned from premium are shown as I had an abnormal cry/exp ratio 2 weeks ago (from 1 day of premium I suppose) and I see many players with ratios higher than 2 which seems almost impossible to achieve without premium.

Here's an example: freshly ranked to Legend 100

Anyway...I think winning most of your battles is the most important thing that influences one's cry/exp ratio.

I think the number I used does include missions. Number of crystal "obtained".  I think that way because it has to. I get so much of my income from missions it just has to be included.

I was rounding off but SkittleWillie has

352,198 exp pts and Number of crystals obtained 397 254

BlackChick basically laid it out. I play my daily missions and very often that is it. Use your Change/Day to turn a supplies reward into a Cry reward.  Sometimes I'll complete my mission and quit. I score 975 Cry. If I play 12 more minutes I earn 1047, meh. The point being: missions mission missions and not much ore play time because experience points are your enemy! The last thing you want to go in Tanki is rank up. (This is my #1 example of Why Tanki Is Broken.)

I do play more at times but I never stick around with a bad team. I don't mind playing and losing a good battle, but I will not waste my time playing on a team that is outclassed. (When I am doing missions an outclassed team is perfect for Finish 1st tasks.)

Still dying to play more Tanki each day? Run another account.

The downside? Time. This approach take months. But since we are not interested in ranking up ... so what? You play, you say 'that's enough for today', you stop. Just do your best to do 1 mission / day to keep the chain going. Eventually you must rank up (boo!) but by then you have enough Cry to keep your equipment as good as it can be.

That's about it.

Dropping a Gold by mistake... and I just did in Gravity. Wordt map to drop a Gold. I missed it of course, all dumbs enemies only killed me, but a teammate got the Gold. Now I have 8 Golds left... One wasted, for nothing...

Changed the dropping key from 6 to 7. Should have done this earlier...

I changed teh drop key to I don't got a drop key. No chance of a mistake. :) It does not take long to re-set it to something if you want to drop one.

"7" is close to "Z" button, at least to me. I changed it to "0"...

Just remove the option to drop golds

This is what I will do from now, thanks for noticing! :3

I changed it to 0.    Then in a battle later on I went to hit 5, and suddenly a Gold was dropping.  It re-mapped itself back to 6  :o :(
