**Clickable Self-Destruct Button On Screen**

So, you know how you use the "DELETE" or "DEL" button on your keyboard when you're stuck, flipped, etc, well I've recently made some new account and I see many newbies (like this account, jk, lol) that when they're flipped or whatever, instead they leave the battle, and well, I don't know, but I think the self-destruct button is very "hidden" and that's why I think (also just for the sake and heck of it) there should be an actual button on your screen with a skeleton skull or whatever in your top right hand corner of your Tanki gameplay there between the 'sound' and 'settings' icon button thingy, and I am not entirely sure of this, but I also ask, do some keyboards not have such a rather easy 'delete' button? *I am NOT sure*

I don't see the point, especially considering that about a year ago there was a hint added for newbies, which suggested that they press the Delete key or use their turret to upright themselves when they flip, so it's kinda hard to miss the fact that Delete is used to self-destruct.

Well, newbies miss.

Everyone knows that this game is not that nice to newbies and cares only about hight rank buyers, but if this game wants to survive, they should get rid of imbalance between buyers and be more user-friendly, when it comes to newbies.

When you try out new game, for how long are you playing it? For a year or 2 to decide if you like this game or not? Or you just play about a hour and get your first impressions about it, and then decide if you will keep playing it, or not?

 

If this game wants to have players, it needs to make good first impressions. When im playing on my WO2 alt, i barely can find any battles without m3 guys. WO ranks has just began and i must fight drugging m3's with my m0/m1 gear.

Not all turrets work, they should only give hints about delete button. People learn about using turrets when they see others do it.

 

But a self destruct button is a good idea, specially for the mobile version. There should be an option to remove that button in settings for us that we know.

There should be a rank-limit for the access to the Shop items.

I remember when I was a newbie myself, it took me few months to get used to the all commands, e.g. I didn't know to drop the flag tho my rank was WO3 (on my first account). After some time when somebody told me about that I pressed the '?' finally and since then I know all the controls. :)

its there in the tutorials. but newbs often just skip the tutorial. so solution? just remove the skip tutorial button.

maybe add a kamikaze button - in the last stages of continued burning, run at the irritating little firefart and self destruct causing full splash damage.

 

that will keep the smug little bar stewards at a distance.

And anyways some means have to be made for mobile players, that lack a delete key as well.

 

I would actually preffer, if the tip that is displayed as soon as you flip a recruit tank, would be displayed to higher ranks too, and would contain a [self destruct] button. Then it would not consume space on the interface (not everyone plays on 24 inch screens) and it would still be here when you need it.

I think it would be a good addition. I don't know about flash, but with html5 it takes close to nothing to do something like that, and, as BlackWasp said, it would benefit newbies as well as Mac users.

Okay, not everyone is as smart as you. I remember when I was a newbie and flipped in a battle, other players used to tell me to press delete. I didn't know what did they mean. I said to myself, what ''delete'' has to do with the game.

nope - not needed. it just gives the devs another opportunity to screw things up royally again.

 

Patch update 999 "we have added a self destruct button, but the downside is that controls now function randomly - good news there is now a control de-randomiser available in the shop for only $199 ...."

It is needed because of Tanki Mobile and because there will always be new players.

 

Also, in the tutorial they should talk about self destruction and what to do when you're flipped.
