Adjustable parameters for supply drop box drop rate in PRO battles?

Maybe we could have another setting in PRO battles (or soon to be called custom battles) but this new setting would affect the supply drop box drop rates (aka, how often a supply drop box would drop).

 

I might be wrong, but I think that each box would drop every 2 minutes in the current system. And it would continue to do that by default.

 

Now with this new feature, we could make it drop as often as 30 seconds or as rare as 30 minutes.

 

This SHALL NOT affect gold boxes.

 

And yes it would affect gameplay quite a bit, but only in PRO battles. Standard battles won't be affected by it.

 

So what do you think?

 

Ps, I couldn't find any identical topic with this exact idea.

 

 

Please note that if you think it will bring back crystal boxes, you better think again. This will only affect supplies, in other words Repair kits, Double Armor, Double Damage, and Speed Boost boxes.

You know, it would be nice to have adjustable parameters for everything in PRO battles, even stuff like hull armour (2x, 3x...), supplies duration, control point and flag reset rates, etc. But the problem is that not many players would end up using it, so I'm afraid that developers won't bother implementing a feature that barely anyone will ever take advantage of.

Wow, good point, and yeah true, many players would just be scratching their heads with the "what do I do with this?" thought.

 

And honestly, even I'm still daunted by this feature :ph34r:

So what if few people use this? If people use this, then i dont see a reason why it cant be added.  Hull armour might be used a lot for parkour, for example.If at least 1 player uses it, then its worth adding.

Nope. Spending hours of development on something that will be used by a single player (or only a few players) is a complete waste of time. Especially if it's a feature that doesn't bring the company any new revenue.

No it is important to listen to all players and do what players want, keeping some balance.

Currently tanki does none of these 3 things. They dont listen to players, they do opposite of what we want, game is not balanced, Tanki X runs better than Tanki Online.

I have asked 4 people who play TankiOnline and Tanki X. 4 out of 4 said that Tanki X has better performance. ViperMonster even added that he will make less TankiOnline videos and more Tanki X videos because its less laggy.

Good idea, but not for PRO Battles or Custom Battles, but it could be a good option for Clan Battles.

 

I say from 2 minutes, then 5, 10 and never. Because, like Mafioso said, Tanki needs to make money from supplies.

I agree with Maf, I think that a lot of players (including myself) often seem to forget that all these updates take a lot of work and the devs need to earn money for themselves through Tanki.

also i think we should change gold value and automatically gold drop chance changes, all golds below 1000 value will not be threatened as gold box and wont count in profile, also you cant set gold to less than 100 and no more than 10000

example

1000 gold 1/10000 chance

567 gold 1/5670 chance

3333 gold 1/33330 chance

so chance is basically (1/gold value) * (1/10)

would be good to bring back effect of blue box but with limits

gold box 1000 and above would look like pure gold and it would look like this 

Gold box will be dropped soon (value) 

%username% has taken the gold box 

and all boxes below 1000 would be blue and look like

Blue box will be dropped soon (value)

%username% has taken the blue box 

but it will appear on right table and not in middle, also it will have some different sound 

 

will this be the good idea of finally returning blue box?

^ I perfectly stated that "this SHALL NOT affect gold boxes" because it would kill the game economy faster than anything you could ever think of.

i didnt know 1 divided by 10000 is not equal to 1 divided by 100000 and multiplied by 10

Even XC&DR isn't used at all but is still there.

Making what you ask takes 1 dev, 1 design, 1 art, 1 test (a team) and 3 weeks (approximately).

I.e. a new format takes almost no effort to add, so it's a case of "eh, why the heck not?". A new setting requires much more complicated procedure to implement it.

We do NOT accept suggestion topics about the following ideas :

♦ Increase / decrease of Gold Boxes' values or drop rates.

 

but if you combine these two you get perfect balance!
