Declined Banned players to be allowed communicate via gifts in game?

Ok so I have a friend who has a 6 month ban, and every time she sends me a gift, it reads "the communication ability of the sender of this gift has been restricted"

Yes I understand that players that have been banned should be restricted from some privileges because they violated the rules, but can you at least let them communicate with their friends using the in game gifts? They would have to be paying crystals to do so.

Gifts can be sent to anyone, not just friends. So it makes perfect sense to censor any text sent by a banned player via gift, as gifts are just another way of communication.

I see your point. However, if you are banned, you can still use forum PM as a way of communication, which is also free. Though I'm not sure; there might be a separate reason that PMs are available for people that are banned  :P.

That's true. But a lot less players use the forum. And I think that forum PM is still available so that the banned player can PM an admin to ask about the ban proof/reason, which is what chat mods always tell to players.

This restriction is basically the same as preventing banned players from creating battles (not sure if this is still done, but it was definitely a thing at one point). It's just an additional penalty for violating chat rules and it's meant to teach players to follow the rules, so that they don't have to deal with any inconveniences of the ban anymore.

Must admit though, with all the restrictions I have on , it will teach me a lesson...

I always do that. I think it's nice to surprise some random player with a gift for something they did (got a rank up, or if they were a good teammate), especially if that person never received a gift before. But in case of banned player, they may want to send another player a gift to insult them via gift message if they can't use the chat to do it.

Read my post again - it's just an additional disadvantage of having a ban. It doesn't have to directly relate to removing a player's ability to communicate.

Taking into consideration the fact that gifts cannot be reported (if the message contains profanity etc), I actually do not see the point of this restriction.

 

It must be very annoying to some who are trying to tell their friends that they're banned.
