I have never seen this before. How is this even possible? No reward from the battlefund?

This is a known bug, players usually receive their crystals after reloading the game or upon the server restart.

That is an interesting point, but really, how are you to know if you receive the crystals or not? Is there a message notification? Otherwise you need to know exactly how many crystals you have when you log out.

There is no notification, as you say the only way is to remember how many crystals you had.
