Thunder should do splash damage when you hit corpse (dead tanks)

Recommended Posts

Currently, thunder doesn't do splash damage to other 'live' tanks in the vicinity when you shoot a dead tank. The dead tank acts as a shield for all other tankers in the area regardless of where the 'live' tanks are relative to the dead tank (ie. no damage 360 degrees). It makes no sense imo.

Hopefully Not gonna happen. I think thunder is a bit over-powered  as it is right now. You can clearly  see how many people actually wear modules against it.

The fact that Thunder's splash damage doesn't work against dead tanks is quite obviously a bug. If Thunder is overpowered, Hazel will find an "interesting" way to nerf it, but intentionally leaving a bug in the game because it helps gameplay balance would be the wrong approach to the situation.

It's like having a gun that's twice as powerful as it should be, but due to a bug it only actually deals damage 50% of the time, randomly. It wouldn't be fun - it would be pure frustration.

Thunder has already been nerfed because many cheap kits give you protection against thunder.

Thats another cool way to nerf turrets: Just put protection modules against them in early unlocking cheap kits at m1, m2, m3.

Rail and twins have also suffered a similar fate.

Vulcan, it should be powerful, but it is too nerfed. With the no dealing damage bug almost 50% if the time. That's frustrating.

Well, at least now you have damage indicators so you can instantly see when you're not dealing damage. I totally understand you though. In my case the frustration is with Magnum, where you shoot a DP shot point-blanc, kill yourself and the enemy next to you only gets the normal damage despite you having DP activated.

Noob Turrets such as magnum should have disadvantages. Its gr8 that there is this kind of a bug. Magnum users dont even know how to turn their turret, they just point it at you, take a DD and shoot. No skill at all ! Twins was called the noob turret, I guess that title has been taken up by magnum now xD

Bugs are never great. Intentionally giving a powerful weapon some kind of logical disadvantage is a good thing (like Magnum's lack of rotation because "it's so heavy that it has to be welded to the hull"), but having some completely illogical bug is a problem that needs to be fixed. Honestly, how do you explain the fact that a shot deals double damage to the shooter, but only half of the damage to a tank standing right next to it, when both tanks were the same distance away from the blast? And how come a shot's explosion is completely neutralised and doesn't affect tanks around it, just because the shot exploded against an already "dead" tank?

something that could be easily fixes with putting an ON instead of OFF. Yet, devs decide to make useless things that make the game unfun

Please go take a class in game developing, then make these assumptions. Coding is rarely as easy as pressing a single button. It's a bug that doesn't happen all that often, so it's on the bottom of the developers' priority list.

Of it makes no sense to you, then by all means stop playing and get your facts right, Thunder was already OP and with the recent undeserved buff it is more OP than Freeze. So keep it to your self.

I often found this defect very irritating while in close quarter battles. A tank covers the path but dies with thunder. The next shot lands simply into the dead tank but does nothing to the opponent who is behind, making him to finish me like he simply didn't care about the splash.
