Steak paint turns brown when a firebird heats it up

Recommended Posts

That's true, but the main reason why this won't happen is that it's simply unnecessary. You want developers to spend a considerable amount of time working on a unique visual effect for a single paint that probably less than a hundred people will ever use.

So, in other words, developers are lazy

In other words, it's better if they used their time for developing more useful features, instead of pointless cosmetics.

Aaaand, a month later - the first animated paint is in the game...  <_>

Add a new paint called the Lobster paint, due to the massive criticism from my previous steak paint idea, how about if i propose an idea to where we put some imagination when using the Lobster paint. Why put lobster paint in the game you may ask?, it's simple, but the twist you see, lobsters are black and when boiled it turns red (you may see where this is going now), so when a player uses lobster paint (they start off as lobster's raw colour) then when burnt by a firebird they turn red (ik its not boiled but it changes colour due to heat).

this idea may seem pointless, but i would consider this "lazy developing", literally all you have to do is design a lobster paint, implement it in the game and let the afterburn do its job

put it as "planned" maybe XD

Have you any news that Steak will be roasted? I don't so I can not change the status out of suspicions.

This one is still valid:

So paints do give a benefit, as they look great. They please a wish feeling good by owning something special, something expensive, something beautiful, something rare, or something that people just like to own for any other positive feeling associated with it. Each time he looks at it, he can feel good, and therefore the player continues to use it.

But people rarely pay for something that reminds them of a bad situation.

As I wrote, cosmetics are useful; and people pay for cosmetics. But they do so, because it gives something positive to them.

Your idea gives a lot of good emotions to the firebird user, but only bad emotions to the paint buyer. This new animated paint follows that logic that I explained very well, so it will sell - your steak idea does not, and so will not sell great.

Still declined, sorry.

Maybe you have luck and they have some spare time, so that they will implement it. I can't tell the fortune. But as said, it would be more usefull to sell a roasting alteration to firebirds, then to code a roasting thing for just this single Steak paint.

You got the criticism and the reasons why there won't be a "steak" effect in this topic, but you decided to go ahead and suggest the exact same thing, but for a paint with a different name and texture. Sorry, but like I said - there's no way that there will be a paint that changes colour only when being burned by a Firebird.

perhaps you took this the wrong way, but literally all this idea wanted to do is basically put a dark grey colour in the game and name it lobster then since afterburn of firebird changes colours of tanks we can apply that feature and basically just changes black to a bright burn colour of afterburn, this is way different than the steak idea in terms of changing colours, and what if i told you this is ez money for the developers (i mean you wouldnt care but they will)

You know what? Fine, I'll put it under review. Seems like a fun idea in the end, even if it has very little chance of getting implemented. Do add more detail to the first post though, such as different variations of this idea and other examples of paints that could change based on the surroundings.

Btw, as for the dark brown paint idea - devs don't accept ideas for paints since they have dozens of their own potential paint textures saved up.

I do not like this idea because barely anyone would buy this paints due to its looks. Secondly it would be expensive and people would start complaining about the prices and create more useless topics on how Tanki only helps the buyers. It will not be implemented but I would like to keep your hopes high by letting you keep dreaming.

No.

Not a good idea because it will only affect 1 turret and when in contact with 1 paint that few will own.

And if they do this then people will ask for Fire to affect other paints, and then for Freeze to do the same, and Hammer to tenderize the Steak, and so on.

But Isida should turn enemy tanks purple and healed tanks green, that will be useful.

Well, just asked Hazel about this idea and he said that it won't ever happen. Not like this and not anything similar to this. Sorry, but I have to change it back to declined.

Probably will require more coding, right?
