How did you come to start playing Tanki Online?

Tanki is a slowly dying MMO game, which got over 50k players on average on at the same time a couple years back. Now days it barely peaks above 20,000.

 

Anyway, how did you come across Tanki, a game that is unadvertised?

 

I came across this game almost four years ago on Kongregate...such a great past-time Tanki is :)

Well, I dont mind typing it again...

I played tanki for first on miniclip (it was a sponsored game during those days) I found it somewhat ok, so came to TO.com

Clicked on an ad on the right of the screen on some website. Expected a simple 2D flash game like the ones you have on miniclip and armorgames, but instead got a full 3D game, which is what amazed me and got me playing the game.

My brother and I were showed it on Miniclip by my two cousins, then a second cousin who also played it showed me and my brother the website.

Yeahh me too -- An ad pop-up came up while watching live El Classico & I click on it to enter this game. It was in early 2012 ~~~ missing good old days playing with so many players around in every servers  :(

It was in the middle of February 2014 when I was bored and another game that I was already playing got be to the point of boredom, so I clicked what I saw, tried the tutorial, and I liked it, so I created an account (the account I use on the forum didn't exist at the time.) And here we are. I remember when there was a time when you didn't lose points or kills every time you self destructed. I remember it so well, that my favorite technique was what I called "the suicide bomber" when I was using thunder and hunter at the time, so you could figure out what exactly I'm talking about. And yes, I was a huge noob back then.

 

In fact, I don't even remember how I ended up using Viking at all :P

Not so true. The peak used to be 100K or more. I remember when RU1 to RU10 were almost always red (meaning full) during the day. And during events, it was even possible to see servers like RU20 in red. Now, I berely see EN1 and EN2 red.

 

Now, the peak is around 40k, but it's slowly decreasing yes. A few months ago, it was 50k, and around a year ago, 60+k.

I've found this game by my cousin, He advised me to try to play this game then I've created an account and start playing since 2012 till now. My cousin quit playing the game but I'm not and I still pleased to help this beautiful community. :D

A game I played quite regularly, Robot War (I think was the name) was dying and I went out searching for another tank game. I was on miniclip and found this one. Tanki had just turned 2 years old. That's when blue 10 crystal packs fell like rain. Ahhhh, yes, the good ol' days. I remember when I first started playing tanki and........Naw, you don't want to hear about that. Those days are long gone, ancient history, never to return. Only a memory, now, like your first real kiss.  :wub:
