Story of a duel you had against an upgraded version of your favorite tank.

Like the title says, post a story that details a duel that you had against an upgraded version of your favorite tank (turret + hull). It could be in 1 v 1, or in a full battle. List the advantages that both you and your opponent had over each other. But most important of all you must say who was the victor.

 

 

It could be m0 vs m1, m1 vs m2, or m2 vs m3. (I guess you could do m3 vs m4.)

 

 

I'll use mine as an example.

 

So in a Wolfenstein ctf battle in winter day mode, I was using my m2 thunder and Viking combo and a raiden kit joins the other team, and when we came face to face with each other it was a real showdown. My opponents advantage was that he had m3 thunder and Viking where I only had an m2 version. My advantage however was that I had a 27% module for thunder where as he did not have any thunder modules, this was my main advantage. My other advantages was my experience as a thunder user and I had a winter paint where he had the emerald paint. So he got on a couple of shots on me at the start, I then decided to take cover behind a wall on a ramp and got in several shots in his corners before he fired his round and only dealt splash damage on me. Both of us were obviously using our supplies, and he used a repair kit at about halfway through his health, which was his downfall since his double damage wore off shortly after that and my double damage wore off too, but I equipped it back on and then activated my repair kit and fired the next shot. Now he started to fall back and I decided to advance forward, he was behind a ramp and I fire my next round and landed yet another direct hit while he did splash damage on me again. By then, my double armor wore off so I re-equipped it, and landed another blow, and then two splashes after that, now he fell back to his base and I landed another splash damage and he landed a direct blow on my. His double armor wore off but he equipped double damage, my double damage also wore off so I re-equipped it right as soon as he landed another direct blow, I landed a direct blow of my own, and landed one more blow, and he died. Right before the whole battle was over too

 

It was a close call, but I won by about one shot.

Well I've had many experiences like this. I was using Isida M2 + Viking M1 + Fracture paint in Island CTF and there was a Medic kit on the other team, M3 Isida + M3 Viking + Cherry paint, like 100 times better than me. He won the battle and wasted me with his M3 Isida.  <_<

So, about an hour ago, I played on @Epic_Space_Mango18, my old account. I was M2 Viking, M2 Hammer.

 

It was a Hill ctf to 15 flags, with Fifteen minutes on the clock. I came in, starting off right away, over the hill, taking a shot or two, to weaken the enemies before they got over. The Titan Firebird M2 on our team finished any who came over and the Simoom went for the flag. We got a cap in under the first 30 seconds.

 

Two caps, six minutes later, at a clean 3 - 0 game, a Jack Hammer user came in. I had just finished off a Medic kit user, thus my health was about 2/5 left when he spawned. I had just turned around to help one of my team mates, but about 90 degrees through my turn I saw him and he blasted what was left of me to pieces.

 

Jack Hammer is M3 Viking, M3 Hammer with a module protecting against Smoky, Railgun and Hammer.

 

This was bad news for me.

 

The only M2 turrets I have are THOSE very three. So no matter what I used, I'd be too weak. With the enemy having a Jack Hammer, Medic and an M1 Viking Isida and Titan Twins...all seemed lost. The enemy capped twice in under three minutes. Since Viking + any turret is a good combo, I knew I'd have to really push myself if I wanted to win. Not even doing 600 on this guy, I'd pop my three shots as fast as I could to at least majorly weaken him.

 

Where my team stayed as Titan Firebird, Dictator Thunder, Viking Striker and me as Viking Hammer, the enemy team semed to be changing up their play style a lot, instead of sticking to one strategy. This, I saw was a major flaw in their end. As The Titan Firebird was making roast out of the Jack Hammer, I killed the Medic, since the M1 Viking Isida changed his turret to Freeze. This way, he couldn't heal the Jack Hammer and while the Freeze was waiting to respawn, I took the flag, and finished off the Jack Hammer, bringing home a flag, making the game 4 - 3.

 

The twins Titan had left and a Titan Freeze replaced him. The Medic changed his turret to M3 Thunder, which I thought would make the game a whole lot easier, since I had protection against him.

 

But nope! a SECOND Jack Hammer entered the enemy team. While the others can damage them just fine, I'm hardly able to scratch them with ANY of my weapons.

 

With three minutes left in the 4 - 3 game, our team switched to defensive mode and DAMN were we good at it. At least until we all ended up with low health, both Jack Hammers easily killing us all and making the game 4 - 4. With time ticking away, we had to pull a Hail Mary pass to win this...and that's just what we got.

 

The Simoom somehow defied all odds and climbed over the hill, with the blue flag in tow, making the game 5 - 4 with 1:35 left in the game.

 

From there...was to pray we were able to fend ourselves off for what seemed to be the longest minute and a half of my life. Luckily we were victorious! Saved by the bell as the Medic was back to Isida and was aiding a Jack Hammer over the hill with our flag.

Doesn't Raiden Kit come with Emerald paint and the Kodiak TC-module which has 35% Thunder protection? (or 42% id LGC)

I believe so, but what's ironic is that, he thought that I'd be easy to beat without it, and he sure as hell was wrong when I took him down by force.

Everyone said lol when I said if they wanted to 1 v 1 so I won by default

On a bright, sunny and beautiful day .. When I was facing my enemies using my precious Railgun M0 shots, with all peace .. I stood for a moment and I was amazed that there was an enemy to me who had the same equipment destroying my team mates, but he got his equipment upgraded I was tempted to think and say to myself, "What will happen if I encounter him? Will he overcome me or will I overcome him?".
Suddenly I saw him in front of me trying to hide here and there so that he can correct the accuracy.. I was afraid and could not do it well, because I did not want to destroy my dream tank then I thought to myself, "Why am I a coward? Let's face this tanker and destroy him!", And then I started with all my enthusiasm and shot my bullets to him all over the place I hit him and as he hit me, we both used the supplies when the critical moment came, without thinking I fired my bullets in the middle of his tank and destroyed him successfully.
