well overdrive is coming in regardless what some players in the higher ranks say.. for the noobs they have little clue on what is to become of the game when they get higher in ranks.. for me well If I stay it now looks like I'm only doing one mission per day and that would the easiest one . seeing I'm not going to waste time or my drugs battling . good luck on who decides to stay and battle in full games Oh wait that the Russian players who this game is mostly for , forget about us English players...

What I'd like to know is how this survey and ideas about Overdrive fits with the metaphor that if you feel sick you don't go and tell your doctor what treatment you need, as that's for the doctor to decide.

 

When I heard that they would be taking all the ideas seriously I was horrified. Honestly, to me, this looks like parents taking their ADHD kid to the doctor and the doctor asking the kid, "Do you want this soda with an extremely high sugar concentration?"

Well as we all know Tanki has decided to put in Overdrive so they are covering their to make it look like it's the player base's idea. Tanki is congenitally unable to discuss changes openly and honestly as we have all come to learn. And as we all know it will make a dumbed-down game dumber. One-Two-Three-Shift-Repeat (Hey what are the arrow keys used for again?)  

 

But there is no doubt Tanki will put it in as a permanent feature. Oh well, who really cares?

Go to any server and you'll see high ranks joining battles created by lower ranks. Long brackets are ruining the game. If more people leave and the brackets are from Legend to WO1, for how long do you think WO1s will stay in the game?

 

Shorten the brackets before it is too late, even if there's 4 Legends left in the game playing in a big map, lower ranks can still play in peace and the game has more chances.

Hazel said before that a "Zero Supply" type feature will be a surprise for summer, but now they are saying "Overdrive" will be for the next holidays. 

 

Yes, they are changing their minds and that's good.

 

The two previous Zero Supplies were horrible for battle balance, I think the people that like them were casual players who don't care about winning and those that only join the stronger teams.

D,a,n,t,e they cannot shorted the brackets. There are not enough players left to fill battles except during peak Russian-player time. The wide brackets are needed just to scrape up enough players when the western hemisphere is playing.

The solution to that problem is making the problem worse. Do the opposite and it will work, although it looks counterintuitive.

I hear ya. Heh I just made sort of the same point on a different thread. Though IMO it would take ore than just opening the brackets to reverse teh player decline. The underlying reason to the whole is ... there really just no reason to play the game. You can play for months and nothing really changes. Wide ranks are just one more example of I'll just call it 'enduring sameness'.
