Howdy mate, using the @help is an old method and the Help Desk changed that by making forms so it is best and better to use these forms instead of using the email. In case you want to guide a player to the Help Desk, please give them a link to one of the form(s) depending on the problem that the player is facing, thank you.

What does happen when you try to link your account? Can you provide a screenshot or video maybe?

Provide a screenshot of it if you don't mind to see what exactly you are talking about and no, the Help Desk will not slower your process and even if they do, eventually it will be fixed so you should try it if any other options won't be of help.
