What error?

I want the Gold Boxes first, because I did my proper homework to answer the questions correctly and that's how I found the error. And since I'm the first to mention it, I'm the first.  ;)

The VLOG topics are created a bit in advance and made visible at a certain time. The videos were made public at the same time. Going by the start time of the topics is not accurate in this case.

Try suggesting that to someone who just spent a ton of money on supplies. Imagine we took your favorite turret and cut the damage by 50%.

 

Tweaking and slight nerfs are one thing. Cutting by half is a whole different thing.

I like how Tanki's discourse has changed since last October. I think that it's much better than the past "You bought a Viking and that's what you got, so there's no reason why you should be allowed to changed it. The fact that its stats have been swapped with Hunter is irrelevant."

 

Does this new discourse apply to everything or only to supplies?

It seems the Dev's are finally realizing that tanki is dying. They're finally trying to make some changes that make sense while still throwing in stupid stuff.

 

The smart stuff:

1. I'm glad they're trying to fix critical errors.(about time). And actually asking for help in reporting those errors.

2. I think the new matchmaking system will be good for the game too as long as it lives up to what is advertised.

3. Doing away with the pro pass is good too (it should have never been put in the game).

 

The main question left hanging in the air is this:  Will games formed by people that aren't private count towards missions. That still has to be clarified. Hopefully they will count towards missions.

 

As to the stupid stuff (mainly from previous vlogs):

1. The proposed changes to supplies doesn't make sense. The way it is now works very well and is well balanced.

2. Zero supply mode will just make matters worse and severely unbalance the game. 

 

What they should have done with the new battle matchmaking system is give the choice of supply and no supply battle modes when picking the types of battles to play. That is the simple fix that would have made that whole controversy about supplies basically go away and make the most tankers happy. At least now, however, all those who want to form their own battles can do so and choose what level of supply use in the battle they want free of charge. So now all those who hate supplies can make those battles and can quit complaining about the lack of battles with no supplies. It'll be interesting to see how popular those games are once the new system goes into effect.

 

Hopefully the Dev's will continue down this road. Maybe just maybe they can save the game.

Will the battle be balanced by sending people with particular equips to particular battles? I mean, let's say for a balanced battle, a particular set of equipments should be there. So will the matchmaking system send a balanced set to a battle? So is equipment a criteria the system will consider?

Honestly, I don't know the specifics, and we're not in a position to give more details yet either. But I'll share them with you as soon as I have them.

 

So you admin saboteurs ruin the game for everyone to stop a few (hell, maybe thousands...what does it really matter) power levelers.  This is throwing the baby out with the bath water.  THINK a tiny bit. 

Actually, our data supports our claims. The majority of people who play private battles, are abusing them. Those who don't, are playing parkour battles, where they don't need experience points of battle funds. The move is justified and backed by solid data.

 

This matchmaking is a change that no one wants.  OK, maybe six admin lackeys want it, but the vast majority DO NOT.  Take a poll....I dare you.

Please don't attribute your opinion to others, especially when the discussion in this very thread is contradicting your statements pretty strongly. You don't want it? That's up to you. But speak for yourself, not others.

 

Will the druggs be a part of the Matchmaking System ?

We got a CTF with 8 versus 8 players. The teams will be split with supplies used equal ? Or one team can get more druggers, and the other team less druggers ?

At this point in time, I don't have the details. I'll share them with you when I have them.

ok so why have the battle button in the first place seeing it will be replaced down the road with Match making system , which will also have issues .

 

as we are starting to see that players who want to do XP/PB wont be able to get crystals for this or any battle made in the  system so in other words gold drops / parkour / private battles / mine hunt and other events which are created by our self's .

 

this is not good if this is the case due to most players enjoy making there own battles to play with friends or get experience practicing using other turrets.

 

If this is what I understand how it will be . were now stuck only playing in certain battles to get crystals in and the company saves imaginary funds , this now will leave players not buying things due to no crystals no fun..

 

. so why play tanki when your killing your own game as we see it from a players view point..

Please re-read what I wrote. Only PRIVATE battles will not give you experience points and funds. CUSTOM battles that are NOT private will give you experience points and funds. So you can play XP/BP or other custom formats and still receive xp and funds (with the exception of parkour mode) as long as it is NOT a private battle.

In private battles, will we not get crystals from gold boxes? If so, there will be no gold rain as some undeserving tank can join and take some of the gold if we make public battles. The same might happen to STGs or Save The Golds, which is the only fun games along with parkour and the special tank combo format battles as the buyers are just plain drugging and fully MUing their tank and ruining our normal battles.

 


When I joined tanki it was unbelievable that it was for free. But now as there are coming so noob updates that support buyers, tanki is now greedy and can no more be called that free game anymore. At least bring these updates that even you will think are somewhat reasonable. Also don't call a developer dev as its my name.
so these are the updates:

First of all see this vulcan. The audio and visual load, the spinning turret, the sound and the oncoming bullets are causing such lag that no computer can withstand. But these cannot be removed as that would make the turret kind of dumb. So, another lag causing element should be removed. In one of the old vlogs, they told that the maximum deflection of the bullets is in ricochet and vulcan. This means that if you are just plain firing and a tank comes a little close, the bullets will start hitting it. This feature is in most of the turrets like railgun, twins, etc. But even though the ricochet's great deflection is somewhat reasonable, vulcan is just overloaded with that feature. Just sit plonk on one of the two highest spawning points in polygon CP with a mammoth-vulcan combo, and put a brick on the space bar after drugging double damage and armour and keeping repair kits handy. I don't mean to completely remove this feature but instead, decrease the amount of deflection.


Secondly, decrease the lag caused by gold box dropping where the ping shoots to 999. This I don't have much idea how to.


And not lastly(more coming soon), Add back that old update with a small tweak. Remember the update in which any tank that unusually climbs another tank or jumps in the air self destructs? Well, it was good except for a small thing that caused a big problem. If two or more tanks push each other during gold or not and otherwise when some high impact turret shoots you, you jump a little. This caused you to self destruct as in the update it was like "Any tank that jumps shall self destruct." Instead, it should be like "Any tank that jumps a lot and to a very unlikely high at a time shall self destruct." Exceptions should be for parkour mode as players don't parkour in normal battles. This will prevent the jumping hackers from taking golds as the sudden boost in height which can't actually be generated by a few tanks shooting at you will make them self destruct.

Yes, unless you are too slow to invite and people decide it's a good battle

He made a pun on the word "matchmaking" since outside of gaming, the word is related to dating xD

 

Does they bring back the name of your battle and remove pro pass?

yes. Both of it.

 

Matchmaking system looks pretty awesome, and private battles not giving XP means i can FINALLY play clan trainings and other private stuff without messing with my xp-crystals ratio, altho rankup parties are affected... aand I finally won't ever have to pay for a PRO pass again, either on my main or my alts. Saves quite a lot per month.

what's the matchmaking ?? and how it's gonna change ??? is it true that they will take out the experience ??? 

Matchmaking system will be same as "Battle" button. But instead of just "Battle" button, it will be replaced with 6 buttons

 

  1. Random team battle 
  2. DeathMatch
  3. CTF ( Capture the flag)
  4. TDM ( Team Death Match)
  5. CP ( Control Point)
  6. Battle list

Those are the 6 buttons will be replaced with battle button. So, for example, if you click on "Random team battle" button, it will take you to a random TEAM battle, e,g, CTF,CP or TDM. and if you click on CTF (Capture the flag) button, it will take you to a random CTF battle, same for DM, TDM and CP. It will take you to a respective battle mode you pick.

 

6th (Battle list) button will send you to an existing battle from the battle list.

Yes, only in private battle mode. Private battle will not give you any experience or battle funds, it will be same as parkour mode. This is because the data shows that majority of the tankers using private battle to power-level. Watch the V-LOG from 2:31, about the matchmaking system and private battle.

Yes, players will be able to join and create battle without a PRO battle pass. Also, players will be able to name the battle they create.

Yes, of course you can. There will be an option to custom battle same as now.
