Increase amount of messages before ban for flood

In parkour mode we have a lot of trouble with getting banned for counting down for a trick (we say a lot "2... 1... go")

If we send 4 messages quickly we get a ban, and I see lots of players getting banned for counting down in parkour and it's really messing things up when the player that explains the trick and gives instructions to the rest of the parkourists gets banned. I got banned for counting down so many times that my punishment for spam is now an hour instead of 5 minutes. Someone gets banned every time he forgets to wait a few seconds after his last message before starting to count down, or says something like "damn" or "lag" too quickly after the count down cause the start of the trick failed. Please increase the amount of messages needed to ban a player for spam from 4 to 5 fast messages in a row, it'll solve this problem once and for all :)

Valid

So let me get this right:

You have no problem to count #4 like

  3

  2

  1

  go

..but if you typed something right ahead of it, or quickly afterwards, then it it too much, am I right?

almost. counting from 3 is too much because that makes 4 messages already, so we start counting from 2. Players who don't know this and start counting from 3 also get banned a lot for that until they learn to count from 2.

Yes, any message typed shortly before or after the count down makes it 4 quick messages in a row, and that gets people banned.

Here's an example:

I sent the message "drive" just a second before I started counting down, the rest were some 10 seconds earlier. "drive" + "2" + "1" + "go" = 4 quick messages in a row = ban. In my case, I got so many bans that I get banned for an hour instead of 5 minutes

ok, so the 4th message in quick sequence leads to a ban; thx for the clarification.

It will stay under review and I will report it.

In the meanwhile.. are there some workarounds to get people synchronized?

The best thing would be a battle timer (like in timed battles) and you can say "we do the trick at 08:45".

Can't they make an exception just for parkour battles and in other battles it stays the same?

it's simpler to make it the same for all battles instead of adding it as a parkour mode feature, and normal battles won't suffer from it I'm sure

Have you tried getting a TeamSpeak or Discord channel for parkour teams? I feel it would remove the trouble of using chat altogether. And I mean, E-Sports teams use TeamSpeak so why not parkourists.

we tried, its useful in some cases but got some disadvantages like causing lag, and cant be used when one of us is playing late and doesnt wanna wake up anyone.

and lag is a much bigger issue in parkour than in battles, just 2 days ago we kept failing a trick just because of lag, some tricks are very sensitive to lag.

It just ruins karma without any reason.

These bans don't ruin karma, many people get spam bans pretty often and yet don't have any problem becoming helpers. I got banned for an hour for spam once and yet it didn't prevent me from becoming a helper.

It's just an annoyance for people that chat too fast or count down, doesn't have any long term effects unless you get banned very often and the ban duration gets very long, but I didn't witness anything like this happening since the beginning of this year.
