Is my garage good?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hello tankers!

Here we can discuss all about our garages.

This topic should help us, the non-buyers, to ask and share our opinions on different things related to the idea of this topic.

>> Is my combination of the [turret] and [hull] good? Should I MU (or continue MU-ing) this or that? How would you rate my garage for a non-buyer? How good is my tank for this style of gaming? << --- Ask anything really.

I'll start off.

As a non-buyer, I can claim that I am really making a good progress in this game. I am currently at the Marshal rank. I have 2 M3 hulls and 3 M3 turrets, as I bought 2 product kits and one turret separately. Those items on the M3 level are Twins (2/20), Viking (10/20), Railgun (2/20), Striker (2/20) and Wasp (1/20), together consisting 5 pieces of equipment at their highest modifications. I am low on the budget now because I recently bought the Striker M3 and MU-ed it slightly.

Now, I don't know where to start off. As on the low budget, I may eventually earn up some crystals and be able to continue MU-ing the equipment. The Railgun-Wasp combination I usually use just for XP/BP battles so I don't plan MU-ing them anyways, unless if I feel good with the Railgun. Wasp is anyways weak itself alone and I already decided to have the Viking as a first M4 hull. I use Twins-Viking in close-range battles and sometimes in medium-range battles, but as many have protection modules with the usual 'Twins protection', I have to use alternatives. Almost no-one has a protection against the Striker, so it becomes so easy to take the lead. Imo, it is the strongest turret out there, considering the main statistics as the great reload time in the arcade move (less than 2 seconds!), also a fast locking-on in the aiming mode and the ungracious projectile's speed for the enemies, the only save from my rockets is to hide. Other than that, I use Railgun-Viking, a decent combination for many maps and situations. That's why I mentioned I would eventually start MU-ing Railgun if I feel I should.

The only thing is that the Viking is good here in there in many situations, but when aiming vertically it becomes harder to aim and hit. Though not everything can be perfect. My favorite maps for playing with the Striker are maps with a wide and open area, countering enemies at the far distance with arcade shoots (or if damaged already), such like Serpuhov in team modes. To keep on the Viking (consider the already MUs) or you would suggest purchasing another piece of M3, considering I am a non-buyer and have to balance the budget to get everything alright?

So, what do you think about my garage and what should I continue/start MU-ing or what should I buy other than that to help me?

Chase strength with strength. Free-to-play users can't have breadth. You need depth.

Pick your best hull and stick to it. You appear to have Viking and a tin can, so that settles it.

If you're best with Striker, ride that wave and upgrade it first. Viking upgrades at 10/20 will be far more expensive per pound of punch than the Striker upgrades at 2/20. Go Striker to 10 (use the sale if you can in September) and see where you are from there.

I'm way over my head with an M2 Mammoth, but I have been able to hold on decently as free-to-play against M4 druggers because I have 19/20 Thunder against them. "Yes, enemy Isida, heal your friend. Get really close..."

If you want to spend some crystals on breadth of gameplay, then save for it and do it on a sale. However, you will need something as your bread-and-butter combo. You kind of said it yourself; your Railgun is for play, and your Striker is what brings home your Tanki salary. Striker is your day job, so embrace the identity. You buy toys, but you invest in your career.

Thank you for your reply!

Personally, I think Twins is what brings home the 90% of the whole salary, you can also see how many hours and experience points I earned on it. I have been playing with the Twins for a lot. I had it all through M0->M3, so of course I am skilled earner.  :P

But I didn't come to play this game just to listen to "puf-puf-puf-puf" and to earn crystals all-day, I need some change in the gameplay and to test out what I have been missing whole time. So, after many testings on my alternate account, I decided to finally buy the new turret - the Striker. It seemed to be so fun and easy, and the finally, sooo strong. Now I am looking forward to 'masterize' it and I think it may be my main turret for a while. I don't really know what to use and what to play right now, and I think I wasted some serious crystals on buying 5 pieces of M3 (excluding alteration on Twins, MUs, paints and 2 M3 modules). Maybe I shouldn't have bought all that and I should have decided more deeply before doing it. 450K crystals gone on Touche combination, and all I use is the module right now and here-and-there sometimes I play XP/BP, but not really much. Another 410k gone on the 'earner combo', and I don't regret - Master of the taiga kit. I got a very decent Viking M3 and recently started MU-ing it (without SUs and without discounts, because it's more expensive to MU and SU even on 50% and 75% sale due to high prices of SUs). I prefer to be more defensive than offensive for my tank (I guess we all like to be 'more alive' and damage slightly less than the otherwise), so I decided like that. I thought I would be going to have M4 Viking before buying new equipment, but honestly, I felt I need some change in gameplay and for the sake of my 'clan career'. Right now I lie on very 'indecent' budget, but whatever - going to have some fun with the new combo.  :P

By the way, I created this topic for you too, tankers. Please post anything related if you got the same problem.

>> What to buy, which is better? << topic is made for the expressing opinions on what to buy and which is better (I think at least), but here you can show your garage more deeply and ask for opinions - without getting ignored (because I will share my opinion at least).

Your garage is quite good. I support your decision of getting more MUs on Viking (make sure you pay for each of the last steps only during sales because the price is very high) and I'd suggest getting more MUs on Striker (firstly) and Twins (secondly). After you get your Sriker to 10-15/20 I think you should focus more on getting new equipment (modules, turrets and maybe Titan if you play a lot of Poly or small maps).

*only 1400k crys*

lol, that's quite a lot.  :P

Not a good decision to MU M0 though. You should watch after product kits.

Update: I have 1818 crys after a 1 hour Polygon CP battle :p I spent 4k on drugs during sales

Yeah, I'll take your advice. I'll buy kits after m1 :)

Check my garage guys, I'm saving for Jam Kit or some isida one. But I can only buy one m2 combo when I get there because I am doing terrible lately- I battled for 2 hours and brought home 500 crystals, total which is terrible.

How many crystals do you have? Do you think you can make it?

If you can make up over 200k crystals, instead of that kit, buy a kit with the Viking. I suggest Northerner, but if you can't wait till the , buy the Minotaur kit, which is even better for earning crystals (each depending on the range, but smaller map' gameplays bring more crystals in my opinion). Viking is much much better than Dictator.

If Viking had its weight and pushing power back, then I would agree.

My garage is bad, can someone pimp my garage?

Your garage is not bad... nobody has a bad garage, there's a bad use of the equipment that the player has instead.

Anyways...

You were born more to be a great forumer instead

I'm at 25k crystals and I make around 500 crustals a say id I'm bad and maybe 2k on good days. Will I make it?

It's difficult to say yes or no...If you manage to complete all your daily missions daily, you win most of your battles and you don't waste any crystals on stuff that you don't need I think you will be fine.

Now I guess it's my turn to ask if my garage is good...

Turrets:

Thunder M4

Isida M3 19/20

Rail M3 9/20 + High Caliber Ammo

Fire M3 3/20 + High pressure pump

Twins M3 3/20 + Stable plamsa

Smoky M3 3/20

Hulls:

Viking M4

Titan M3 3/20

Wasp M3 3/20

Modules:

Badger T-H M3 3/15

Grizzly T-B M3 3/15

Griffon T-D M3 3/15

Lion T-B M3 3/15

Emerald LGC 9/22

Jade LGC 9/25

Paints:

Who cares?

Other stuff:

Supplies: 23t402r.jpg

Crystals: 661 682

I think it's an ok garage for a f2p Legend 5...But there's still a lot of room for improvement in many aspects  -_-
Feel free to give me some advice on what should I focus next...MUs, more equipment (which type)...

Since I'm a buyer, I may not be welcome here. I just have one question. When MUing equipment which provides the better return on investment?

A- the last 5-7 steps on a turret

B- the last 5-7 steps on a hull

C- the last 5-10 steps on a module

Thx in advance!
