"Runners"

This can be annoying for specific circumstances for e.g. opponent shoots you, regrets shooting you, realizes he's trap and couldn't get away in time, leaves the game as soon as you start hitting them (for the sake of their d/l etc.) 

 

negative effects: 

in a serious battle, eveything that you do is crucial then suddenly you wasted your shot on a runner thus resulted to your team losing etc.(if this were the situation) 

 

possible solutions:

have a "tag" time limit if they get shot at or if they shoot(5 - 10 secs)

and if they try to refresh a message will come up the same as javascript alert ("You're tagged")

 

problems with this:

actual disconnections from the game, i mean is there a way to avoid this, like the tank stays in the game the same as how your account stays in a battle while refreshing.

(super rare) noobs will turn off their router.

I like it that you thought about the side effects of your idea.

Actually, the enemy team is harmed when someone runs, as it takes time until someone new joins, spawns and fights. So I think the negative effect on your team is.. small.. if any.

 

But if you are the one that shot that "leaving players", maybe even a few times, you get nothing in exchange. No score is granted to you. Same if someone self destructs. Would your case be solved if you get a share of  the points granted for a kill, according to the damage you caused? So if you damaged the tank to 45%, you get 45% of 10 points. Would this proposal help your cause?

1) this thing exists in most minecraft pvp servers. its effective because disconnect = instant death.

for tanki, it would have no effect so its unusable. you can just right click internet icon, and disable/disconnect.

 

2) if you win in 3vs4, dont you get even more fund? because that runner.... ran away? that runner loses score. keep that in mind

I am with you that wasting a shot is a bad thing, but to have one player more on the field for the next 30 seconds does make up for it - of course it depends on the exact situation.

 

In your proposal: when a player is tagged by beeing shot, for let's say 5..10 sec - but he want's to leave (not for the sake of D/L but simply because he want's out), he will not be able to leave, and waits.

So how do players in other games use that time? Attack as cannon fodder? Defend? Or just.. park somewhere and check they discord channel?
