Declined Option for changing Linked E-mail.

Hi tanki,as "topic title",there is a need for changing Linked E-mail.Sometime the Linked E-mail is banned or block,so the player  cannot use his Linked E-mail for tanki purposes.Sometime when you are new in game,you forgot to confirm that E-mail.So I think there should be the option for changing  the E-mail. :)

I am sorry, but your proposal is a serious security threat.

If you have an email linked to your account, then there should be no way to link another email to it, without answering some additional secret information. And as people voluntarily give away their passwords if they are promised free crystals by some account thief, you can not trust in them to keep information secret (or to remember or store it, if they even manage to mess up the login data of their email account).

While I understand the security risk, changing an address does seem to be a viable request.  In fact necessary. I can't confirm my current account with an email, as I have an older mostly unused account that still has the email linked.  I can't change it, so far as I'm aware I can't get that old account deleted, and I don't have another email address to use. 

 

In the no longer usable but previously registered case, you could have a registered address and a current address field, continue using the registered one for ongoing security even if its not accessible its reference information.  In the later case, you either need to be able to de-register an account or be able to register more than one.

 

Just a last thought, perhaps there ought to be other information supplied during account creation specifically with security in mind, as an email address on its own, isn't much anyways, especially if either you cannot access it, or someone else now has control of it.

Well you can change it - there is a form, where the helpdesk will help you to do so.

 

I also had to change the email linked to this very account of mine, as it was an alt at first and after a while the (free) email I attached to it went inactive.  Btw, if you lack another email address for another account, you can register a free one; just google for "free email" or for "webmail" and you will find plenty of service providers, that grant you a free email address. You just have to make sure to log in there once in a while via their webmail service (via the service provider's homepage), to make clear that your email address is in use.
