Invalid Tag a forum player

Well basically on facebook you can tag people by writing their name down and then the people that you tag will get a notification saying this person has tagged on you. Well I want this idea to be implemented onto the forum so that the forum can be more exciting and your friends can see your posts.

Today you can do quite a lot that you need already.

 

Today you can hover your mouse over a players name in the forum, and a small box will show up. There you find a button, titled "Show content". If you click it, you can see where this players has posted, while the thread list is sorted by data (latest first). In that view, on the left side bar, you can click then on a link named "only posts", so you see the posts of that player.

 

Is the tag function itself important enough to keep this request open? If yes, pls elaborate :)

btw, I moved two of your posts in the last days to other threads or sections. I usually write PM to the users so that they find there posts again.. but your PM is deactivated. So you can use the feature I told you about to find them (if you have not found them already..)

It is easier for newcomers on the forum and will be easy for players to adapt to this idea. This would be a minor update but will cause a great effect on players. Also it is a way of gathering the community together with linking your friend to your posts. Some players log in and out only for updates and if they are tagged in posts then they can see it.

Sorry, but this isn't possible with the current forum engine. When we eventually upgrade to the new engine (the one RU TOforum and TX forums use), this feature will be available. For now there's nothing we can do.
