What happened to my team?

I was just in a battle 8v8...Polygon CTF. One slot open was on the blue team. Score: 0-0. Everyone had a kill score. 

 

When I entered the battle, there were only 2 other players on blue, besides me. Total of 3. 

 

Where were the other 5 members of blue? 

 

Red was all over us like white on rice. They quickly made 2 flags. I died several times before I could get a shot off. Still no sign of the rest of my team, except the original 2, as I mentioned. As I respawned, I looked around for other blue bars, but just us 3. 

 

I thought if you paused, went to the garage or reloaded the page, your tank and health bar was still visible. How can you be in the battle and out of the battle at the same time?

 

I know, I'm an old timer, but I guess I still don't understand.

How long were you in that battle?

 

For your information, if you join a battle and while you are in that battle, just close the Client or Standalone or even the browser, let's say whatever you were using to play TO while you were in that battle instead of leaving the battle and closing. Your nickname will be visible to others who are outside the battle and you will be counted in so if it was 3 vs 4 and you left, players outside the battle will still see the 3 vs 4 while actually it is only 2 vs 4 since you left so if someone joins he/she will see 3 vs 4 and will say ''oh, be the 4th player'' and when they join, all he/she will see is just another player, in other words 2 vs 4. This is what happens when someone closes the browser straight while they are in battle instead of leaving manually so this could have been the case. This way, players in the battle will last as long as the pause time allows so before, such players were present and none present at the same time for 5 minutes since 5 minutes was the pause time before but now they can only be this way for 3 minutes.

My guess is that your Blue teammates saw how outmatched they were by Red and bailed out.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that a browser, etc. could be closed but you name can still be present. I thought once you closed the browser, all evidence of your existence disappeared, too. 

 

I don't know how long I was in battle, maybe a couple minutes. I got tired of being spawn killed and left.

Well that must have been the case than but it should only be like that as long as the pause time allows so in this case 3 minutes. I'm gonna test few things to confirm it 100% one more time just to be sure.
