Vulcan went from being incredibly OP in one day to nothing the next. The nerf of it was extreme in my opinion.

I agree, my M4 feels weaker than normal M3's. I have to always use DD just to keep up. It doesn't need to be like it was but a little buff would be nice.

Isida lost ALL of it's self-healing (while gaining high DPS)...

 

But overall I think Smoky as well - worse re-load, and the nerfed critical make it less potent than it was.

Hmm for me Thunder, Vulcan and Hammer 

Thunder and Vulcan feels like they have less Dmg for me

I'd have to say smoky also. It's my favorite turret, but nowadays I switch to other turrets more often in order to be effective.

Id say Vulcan and Smoky.
Although Smoky is still effective when you make use of that knockback.
 

Shaft, In old days before rebalance and all, M0 Shaft could 1 shot M3 Hornet. Good times.. :D


That was the most extreme case of OP for sure, back when one could keep on firing in scope mode.

Personally i think it's smoky, poor turret, getting nerf twice in less than a year :(

Excuse me, I think it is the only gun that didn't get a nerf through last "nerfing season".  <_<

 

I'd say Mammoth, when I was using it, I was using it for the specific reason - health.

Now M2 Mammoth has a greater speed, but that's not what I was looking for - I would pick a medium hull if I wanted a 'medium' with good health and a good speed.

Rico after the rebalance. It was super OP after it was released, but during the rebalance devs clearly overdid with the nerf and made it literally unplayable. Rico used to be my favourite turret, but myself and other Rico fans had to create a "rico club" and play private rico format battles together because it was simply not fair to use any other turrets against it.

 

It got a buff later and then another nerf, so at the moment it's somewhat playable but still not as good as it once was.

Railgun: On double damage, I used to be able to one shot a medium and light hull with one shot. Now, I sometimes have to two-shot a Hornet with DD on and the hornet activating no repair kit. Bear in mind that I have MUed railgun and that hornet had no protection against me.

Viking, before the rebalance update of october 2016, it used to be the most balanced hull in the game because it had the weight and pushing power. After the update, it lost all that and the speed is just another nerf. It's only benefit nowadays is the decent health and the good looks.

Yeah, I still fume when I think about the great Viking-Hunter swap. The only reason I didn't quit the game is that it happened to everybody and sure enough very few players have had the stomach to buff their Hunters to M4.

 

My next vote would go to Vulcan. Sure it was overpowered, but losing 30% of its damage in one change pretty much buried this turret.

 

After that, Titan. I really miss the pushing power this guy used to have. "Out of the way, buddy, that's MY gold box!"

Even though I think that Vulcan can be OP in the right hands, I've come and thought that maybe it could use a 10% increase in damage, 5% buff in impact force, 5% buff in turret turning speed while shooting, and a 5% increase in vertical auto aim. Resulting in a 25% increase in total.

wut, railgun has an alt that is a lot stronger than railgun ever was and considering all hulls hp have been nerfed theres more chance of 1 shot kills

Incorrect.

 

Smoky lost Critical damage & minimum damage & reload-time was increased while it received small buff in max damage.

Oh yeah - Impact force was also reduced - to below that of Thunder.

 

Then shortly after that reload-time was increased again.

 

So overall - nerfed.

It's still more powered than the rest.

Is it normal that it can beat close range turrets in the smallest maps?

I guess it depends on circumstances. You might be comparing an m3 against an m4. Or someone using supplies vs someone without.

 

ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL...

light or medium hulls... short range weapons will wreck smoky if both turrets within range. Their DPS is just too high.

heavy hulls with protection modules? It gets murky now because Freeze/Fire/isida might run out of juice.

hammer with 5 shots? Up close smoky loses.

 

But your original comment was that smoky was only turret to not get nerfed.  I provided evidence to the contrary.

I think that Vulcan needs a buff because my M4 is simply just not good enough with DD against hulls with DA. Then we got striker, when the enemy hides behind a wall or something the time taken when locked on should be increased otherwise it is so easy to dodge striker's missiles. If magnums are nerfed then they should be able to rotate its turret. Wasp needs a bit more health IMO because its simply a one hit kill vs railgun or magnum with DD.
