2 denied ideas together to make perfect balance. Increase gold box value and decrease its dropping chances

Recommended Posts

I have suggested this many times before but everywhere in denied topics so it was never noticed. The combination of 2 rules can lead to one update that will solve the imbalance between gold supply and gold box and make gold box special again. The formula for this should be like this

Now, gold box has value of 1000 and chance of drop is 1/10000
So from this we can extract formula
x- gold value
y- gold drop chance
y=1/(10*x)

Limit for x should be 10000, and it shouldnt go below 500. Also all golds that are below 1000 should not count in profile.

Or second option: random. Number will never be shown before someone takes gold. After the gold drop, new number is chosen. This will make the gameplay more strategic because you never know how many crystals has that gold box and you must decide should you help team or run for gold.

Gameplay:

Gold box will lose number from texture. Number will be shown in battle list.

For random golds, its explained above.

I will understand if this gets declined but i think sometimes you have to use more bad(break rules) things to create one good(idea).

Declined

Sorry, but gold box values and drop rates will only change during celebrations and holidays. This is because the current gold value is balanced very well to make it not so impossibly rare that players never see it, not so common that it would disturb gameplay a lot, not too cheap so that it's actually worth fighting for, and not too valuable so that it doesn't give too much free stuff with little effort.

Besides, the current gold can be basically considered a "classic", so changing it in any way could ruin its sentimental value.

I'd argue that the introduction of the "Gold Supply" ruined the novelty/sentimental value.

Yeah, I suppose. That last line I wrote is arguable, but the idea is declined because of the first paragraph.
