I have to agree, the in game appearance of this paint is highly underwhelming. The animation is only noticeable very close up. From any distance it's just electric blue.

According to the note in the first message, the paint will never be alone in the the shop. You can only purchase the paint by buying the bundle. And the bundle will expire monday in the middle of the night, so you only purchase the paint this week.

 

NOTE: This special paint can be purchased within bundle only, that will be available in the Shop during 48 hours, from 02:00 UTC on July 8th, till 02:00 UTC on July 10th.

Yes, but you can barely see the effect in battle. Like so many paints, it only looks good in the garage, or worse, only on the preview palette.

 

I think I saw an XT hull wearing it today. After the M3 armor plating plus the XT skin, there was very little animation left to see.

Since most paints cost around 100,000 crystals, the gold box and Riddler paint must cost 1000 crystals so that Recruits can buy them from day 1.

Some other animated paints that would look good as well: flames, DNA, swirl, polished crystal, fireworks display, breeze, stars in the night sky, bubbling lava, thunderstorm, and maybe even a special camouflage paint that would blend the tank into its surroundings.

Many players have said that the animation is not very noticeable in battle. That may be true (I haven't seen it, so I can't say). But I think the point is so that the user of the paint can see the animation up close, while the rest of the players can be impressed that someone has a rare paint, even if it doesn't look so great (the gold star or gold dust paint is the same in principle - it also looks fairly ugly in my opinion, and from afar it just looks yellow, but nonetheless is a vanity item you show off with, and other players instantly see that you have money to spend).

 

And of course a bunch of Youtubers and other people will buy it because it's the "first ever" animated paint. So Tanki makes money.

Maybe they got tired of people comparing prices for international players to prices for Russians, so they removed the option to change country manually in hopes that we wouldn't realise anymore that Russians have everything cheaper.

I changed the textures to wear XTs in battle(s) (before it was forbidden) and yeah wasn't nothing special tbh. 

Can't say that for Tanki X though.

Changing your country can now be done from settings. Be aware that buying using another currency other than your own to get the item cheaper is regarded as fraud and can get you blocked.

don't you know that they don't give anything about people who are not buyers !! why should they do that ??? for what ?? they just need money! they won't make that for NON-BUYERS !! why do you think all the events are for buyers (as Giveaway ) ??? Cuz they do events only for MONEY and nothing else ...

Love the discounts, increased mission awards and finally reducing the duration of drugs and making them more accessible to non-buyers.... But, I have a feeling that this is just the calm wind before the storm. Last time, during the may sales tanki gave 30% discount on hulls and turrets (tho they redeemed it by giving 50%off during 6th June) and when asked why MU's and speed-ups were not incuded some admin officials replied that they had given a similar 30% discount before the mayday sales. Simiiary, after a string of nerfs on isida, firebird during the last rebalance we got 50% discounts (100% sure it was to shut the tankers up)....Please dont do this for the Tanker's day sales too... Mu's and speed ups havent been 50% for a long time, I really hope that on tankers day the devs wont disappoint me. Also, please continue the bring the good updates, I like this change in mindset (of the devs), the tanki community is also on the edge, things have calmed down quite a bit, do not spoil it by introducing bad updates together with good updates. Thanks :)
