Declined Change your Nickname of your Tanki Online Account

Last year, the developers have created an update that automatically asks players to change their in game nickname to a new nickname when their account are inactive for 1 year. For premium accounts, it is 3 years.

 

I find this update annoying because, what it you like your nickname and want to keep it forever.

 

My suggestion is that this update must be removed and replace with a new and better update to allow players to "change their in-game nickname" whenever they want.

 

This new update will allow to "change your nickname of your Tank Online account" at any time without any restrictions. This new update must work in a similar way of when you change your Tanki Online account password.

 

The last video with Seymon (V-Log 77) discusses about the nickname change:

You can already change your nickname whenever you want. Only thing is that it costs 100 000 crystals. And no, we won't accept an idea for making it free.

 

Removing the nickname replacement system will not happen. You still keep your nickname forever if you like it because nobody will be able to steal it as long as you are active. Even if you take a long break, your nickname will become free only after some time. In fact, it's nearly a year for Legend rank and 3 years for any rank that had purchases. So for you to lose your nickname, not only do you need to never log in for a whole year, but someone actually has to purposefully try to register with your account name after it becomes available. It's a pretty safe system.

We already had some good ideas for that, mainly ideas to automate the system rather than having tech support do it manually. We'll see if something gets done.

Paid 100k crystals to change my name to a much suitable gaming name. In addition, if changing nicknames were free then all players who had changed their nicknames would have to be compensated which would be a tricky task. Furthermore, if you want a better system just register your account with a gaming name you would be satisfied with.

First, do you intend players to be able to continuously change their names whenever they want? Second, Tanki would have to refund 100k crystals to those who changed their nickname including me which can be a long and tricky task. Tanki can easily give everyone 100k crystals within the game due to a glitch causing the balance in the game to shift. Your topic has already been declined so therefore nicknames will not be free and your idea will not be taken into consideration.

That is because you have chosen that nickname from the start. If you want to change it then you have to pay. This topic has already been declined so I do not know why you are confused. Finally, Tanki would have to compensate all the crystals back to the players who paid to change their name which is hard and long work.

To significantly reduce the number of people from changing their nicknames over and over and over again, which doesn't really benefit the game itself if the nickname changes were free.

Nope. You don't get compensated for something when you buy it and later it becomes cheaper (or free). Doesn't happen online or in real life.

It is because an employee has to make a new account with the new nickname, and add all the info and friends lists etc. to the new account, which probably takes a considerably long time

Then this means that I am ever more adamantly against the changing of nicknames for free. You can only change your nickname for 100k crystals and thats the bottom line. It will not even be fair for those who paid to change their nickname anyways.
