Display whether or not you hit an enemy

Recommended Posts

When you use the magnum turret, most of the time, you will be unable to see whether or not you hit an enemy. After you launch a shell, often, you will turn around to re-position or look a different direction. Due to the fact that damage counters are only displayed when you are facing that direction, it would be nice if there were indicators when you hit someone, this could include:

1. A red streak at the edge of your screen

or

2. Display the amount of damage you dealt with an arrow leading to the location the player was hit

or

3. A sound

I particularly like point 2. When you are magnum sometimes you will launch directly upwards to hit people who are chasing you. It would be very nice if you knew the exact damage you deal so you will know whether or not your next shot will kill them.

This can be exclusive for magnum or for any turret. Turrets with slow projectiles such as ricochet, twins, striker or maybe the burn damage of firebird will benefit from this addition.

Valid

I agree, faced the same issue with Magnum. Not that big of a problem but would still be nice to have.

Yeah, however why would you just shoot randomly?

Look at your rank, you should know this.

When you're running from an enemy, you can point upwards 90 degrees and shoot so the projectile can fall on the enemy that is chasing you.

I place my self in various positions in which these type of situations never occur whilst in gameplay. Also I continuously every second move my turret and camera up and down in search for enemies.

Of course you do that, specially when you're camping, but what if you need to go for the flag when there is a chance? when you comeback to base to cap that flag you either have to drive backwards looking for chasers or you shoot upwards, to at least fend off chasers.

When I camp the with magnum I keep moving my camera so that no enemy can sneak up behind me. Comprende? Also not all players are how you think.

Don't tell me what I don't and do lol. When I camp the with magnum I keep moving my camera so that no enemy can sneak up behind me. Comprende? Also not all players are how you think.

Sorry, I'm just trying to explain why one needs to shoot upwards randomly.

What about the notification in the top right hand corner of the screen?

That would just be constantly annoying with a pop up and would decrease your view of the screen in battle which is big.

No, I wasn't suggesting an idea here, I'm saying that there is already a feature that acts like a notification: player (turret symbol) player.

Yes. I have considered before to have a laser for Magnum like Shaft, but my idea was declined. But great idea from Kerry369 to have a hit indicator for Magnum so that Magnum players know if they hit an enemy.

By having a target-like marker that turns red would be amazing because when the marker turns red, it means that when the shall lands, it will hit the enemy and kill him.

I also suggested alterations for Magnum as well.

Double the damage of Magnum with an M3 alteration and double the time of its reload.

A marker that displays whether or not you hit an enemy would only be suitable to Magnum because it is difficult to properly aim with Magnum right now.

Magnum has to be improved in some way.

It could make Magnum even more overpowered, because one could be random shooting until you see some damages, then continue shooting that same spot.

If you still want to see the damage numbers, you can move your camera or shoot where you can see it, or even use a direct shooting turret.

I don't understand why this idea is necessary. If you hit an enemy you see damage counters already, and usually they even give a hint of where your shot landed.

That does not affect the magnum in any way, what are you on about? You have to identify which spots to hit whenever you enter a map to play battles.

As a magnum, you often look another direction right after you fire. In order to see the damage counter, you have to be facing them.
