Well the devs can find a way to balance it. In addition, players should not get such a prize like overdrive for free and should rather work for it.

wow.

 

1) if they don't "work" they get OD << often then those who "work".

2) Is using supplies to get OD faster considered "working"?  I beg to differ - using supplies to gain OD is LESS "work".

3) Maybe you have some suggestions on how devs can "balance" things without giving OD to those who won't "work"?

There are players are are more concerned about their K/D rather than team play for example. Supplies are part of the game and players have the option to buy them. Whenever people say you dumb drugger, I do not get affected by it as they are getting angry over a game. I am just suggesting that Overdrive should not be given to players as easily as they are nowadays.

All I've got to ask the Dev's is this....Do you guy's intentionally plan bad updates to chase people away from the game. Say what you will about the so called bad old days of the unlimited drug wars. It wasn't near as bad as what the Dev's have just done with this last update. Back then, in those so called horrific times, there was routinely over 100,000 players playing during peak times. There were many servers so packed that you couldn't get on them. Now you can't even break 40,000 and it just keeps going lower. You patch the real problems in the game with gimmicks. You've taken a game that took intelligence and skill to play and over the years turned it into something like a soggy piece of toast. You've listened to the whiners and children and chased the adults away. You just had a sale and you made anything bought, especially supplies useless.  The game is simply no longer fun.Who's going to spend money on this crap product now. Whose going to spend money on this poor game now. There will be a few of course, but that number keeps going down. It went down by at least 1 today because I won't spend another dime on this game again. I've looked around and I've already found another game that will get my money and time. Get ready for the cuts Dev's , it's not just me. I've talked to a lot of people in the community that feel the same, and the first cut you should make is Pony Tale Boy. He's the guy whose caused all this and he needs to go.

up until this update i looked forward to playing everyday i have 8 profiles on T.O. of which ive stopped playing on 5 soon it will be none real good move on Dev's part in this you should have polled those of us who buy instead of polling those who never have put any money into this game soon this game will run out of money since no will be buying dumb move i really did enjoy this game will hate to see it gone but will save me money for other things since i wont be spending here any longer you loco nutts keep driving my friends out of the game so whats the point for me to bother with you anymore further

I have the same opinion on "power-leveling".

And yet some people (players? really?) complained about that.

Difference between buying Premium and power-levelling is that the former actually brings revenue to Tanki in exchange for the player's convenience. The latter is just an exploit that players use to maximise their crystal and EXP income with no benefit to developers, while honest players struggle to do the same in normal battles.

It's a fact many players end up in "normal battles" in huge part due to devs removing supply missions from Pro-battles.

Many of these players don't have the supplies to use them constantly.

So... there needs to be a way of letting them benefit from OD to some degree, else there's no balance.

 

If there's no balance then less people will play.

 

Not sure why you think they are getting OD easily.  Takes a long time to build it up when not using supplies for kills.

And they die more often - which means they are again, not building up OD as fast.

 

How much advantage do you require in order to feel good about playing this game?

Changes to supplies and Repair Kits

 

Tomorrow’s update will bring changes to the Repair Kit and other supplies. Here’s how that will work.

 

When activated, the Repair Kit will immediately restore 1000 HP for your tank, as well as reduce any burning and freezing effects. After that, the Repair Kit will continue to restore an additional 3000 HP over 3 secs. However, this recovery-over-time will be interrupted if your tank suffers any damage whatsoever. Additionally, once your tank’s HP have been fully restored, the Repair Kit will stop trying to repair it.

 

 

This is utterly wrong. Might as well stop calling it "repair kit" and call it something like "patch up kit". To get you're full health now you'll have to hide not to get hit! How is that  weigh better to the thought of making the game more strategic and making players waste even more of the priceless "repair kits"? How is an arcade game supposed to attract players when you want them to hide in battles?

I guess I will have to test it out by not drugging in the battle and see how long it takes to get overdrive.

To be honest, I am a buyer also but if you think that Tanki will shut down because you won't buy anything within the game your having a laugh mate. All I can say is bye.

I understand what the devs had said - why they did it.

Don't necessarily agree that's the whole story - but I understand it.

 

The other part though... why players might complain.  Just like premium, "power-leveling" does not affect them.

I don't power-level, and I don't care if others do.

 

But I am disappointed I can't complete my missions during the course of playing Pro-battles.

Now I have a Super-Mission. Gonna take a long(er) time to complete that in normal battles.

UGH.

Well, this is the second time that I have posted this exact idea. Oh well, I think I preferred the effects to be OFF for FPS reasons and well I got used to the old supplies system. So I think there should an option to:

 

- toggle visual effects of your supplies ON/OFF.

- toggle sound effects of your supplies ON/OFF.

- toggle sound effects of other players supplies ON/OFF.

 

All this would be accessible from the settings button.

Idea for a new Repair Kit


 


2000 HP total (in a second, I think)


 


100 crystals


 


And double the amount of that supply in our garages if we have them, to compensate.


 


It is a compromise between the old Repair Kit and the new useless one.


 


And it balances the playing field a little bit between druggers and non druggers.

Double the amount just gives the 4000 RK buyers loads of BS for the next 10 years.

add 2k overtime heal over 2 seconds and make that 2k instant heal and keep the price 100 or 150

100-62 is not bad, esp. as you collectively outrank the other team.

True.  Seen way worse.

 

But what boggles my mind is the rewards.

 

Leading blue player with score of 213 gets 74 crystals.  74.

3rd on red with a score of 180 gets 131 crystals.

 

I know winning team should get more proportionally, but the gap is too much.

Often there's no incentive to finish the battle = MORE IMBALANCE.

I do not support the idea, also this idea will never be implemented within the game. It would cause a power shift within the game and could potentially ruin the game's economy.
