lol, this update. I get just as much kills as normal and I don't have to use repairs :D. I hope there will be 2k kill contest.

Yes it is 2K kill contest this weekend, check V-LOG already released one hour back.

It's been said throughout this topic, but Overdrive has been FAR from amazing.  Instead, Overdrive exacerbates unbalanced battles, turning them into carnivals with players just rushing everywhere.  

 

Sure, there have always been drugger teams sweeping helpless players, rushing in and crushing the opposition.  But with Overdrive now, there's even less need for tactical, thoughtful gameplay, because once you and some buddies all get Overdrive, there's nothing else that can stop this force other than an equally tenacious opposition.

 

If anything, Overdrive just made sweeps easier to achieve, which isn't fun for either side.

In tanki there are much formats to play. For me full drugs is the best one, I'm playing it since the game was created. Now many years have gone, you destroy full drugs, so what should i make ?! Try new format? nah, i'm not going to do this. This is not only about me, druggers clans OC, Loyals , SS , DS , SF , KOA , DOT, GV, KOJ, IMP, F.R ,  , TTP , Face OFF, CN, LHF , ELITE, Respects , Wolves, UP, SN , AK  , GRESHNIKS and much more, I think 99% of us, will leave this game, before you make and change something, think about it, all money you have is from Arabic and ''Hard format'' players. #BadUpdate

we wanted this update before  a very long time,, it look so good , so whatever
i hope no one talk by our name (DOT) because we love this update 
 
and we hope the best for tanki online and the new beautiful updates

2000 Kills Contest this weekend with this new update  :angry: 

 

 

250 kills in one day is impossible. This 2000 is a load just for grindrs and druggers. 2000 exp? piece of cake. 20000 exp in 2 days? Nah, that is crazy town stuff right there. I'm 10k from ranking.

they are testing the use of overdrives to see how many a tank will kill to break the record  and the deadline is also same!! 2 days

So I just watched Vlog #139...and I guess there's a bit of hope for Overdrives.

 

Specifically, that each hull gets its own unique "ability" or "Overdrive".  Besides the full drug boosts, there is one Overdrive that actually deactivates supplies of other players (putting them into cool down) and another one that summons a high-resitance dome that protects tanks within the dome from damage.

 

So at least Viking is getting a unique trait to stand out from Hunter besides higher speed.  Maybe Viking will get the standard drug boost Overdrive that we are all familiar with.

In that case, score will be 0-0 coz U can't go near opposition's flags, they all ready with 3 drugs "ON" while you on cool-down. R.I.P.  :ph34r: Yes, Tank Bomb have a bit of hope otherwise I can't see anything positive without camping tactic from both sides.

The entire update is to advertise and thereby sell Tanki's biggest revenue source...SUPPLIES.

 

Look at what Tanki sells in the shop:

 

crystals

premium

supplies 

kits

paints

gold boxes (gone from the shop)(?why?)

pro passes (gone from the shop)

 

Crystals are probably the real money engine and many of those sold get turned into supply kits by the purchaser.

Premium (cards?) are sold to double players crystal income, increase xp, get daily crystals and supplies.

Supplies themselves are probably the next biggest seller

I'm sure they sell a few kits now and then and everyone has seen how many shop paints are in the field...I can't imagine why they stopped selling gold boxes.  It must not have worked well.

 

So players use their crystals for equipment, kits, MUs, and SUPPLIES...ok, and a few icon gifts.  Equipment and upgrades take most of the crystals, but eventually you get the Tank(s) you want.  The only real expendable commodity is supplies and it is an open ended source of income for Tanki from EVERY player FOREVER.   

 

But players used to complain about supplies in never ending whines about "druggers...bad, bad"   What was Tanki to do since supplies are one of it's golden sale items?

 

1. Increase the amount of free supplies so players hoard their supplies less...more supplies; more supply use.

 

2. Force everyone into non-createable Standard Battles to do Daily Missions (players main source of income)...gotta, get ...this flag....awww, what the hell, ""Repair Kit"" and, misssion complete...collect reward.

 

3. End the stigma of "Drugger...bad...bad"    Tanki, "Hmmmm, tough one...Overdrive!  oh, oh, ...and we can put lights and sounds on current supplies as advertising to use supplies! ...They'll never know what hit'em!"  A player now gets popped in the face with a light-show EVERY time he re-spawns....that is THOUSANDS of color reinforcement for "YOUR DRUGS ARE READY>>>USE THEM" and the light-show comes with distracting SOUND TOO!  You think it is distracting by accident?  It is designed to keep you slightly off balance, uncomfortable, and reminded of "DRUG, DRUG, DRUG".  You get a cacophony of sounds and light-show for each time you pick up a drop box on/off, activate one of your own supplies on/off...AND you get the sound of your fellow players when they drug up or spawn in...ON BOTH sides!  It is an ORGY of sound and light proclaiming that supplies are there for your use.  Supplies are at the forefront of sight and sound when you are supposed to be trying to kill that annoying deadly little Smoky/Wasp.  Everyone will use more drugs now...yes, EVERYONE.  You won't hear, "#$%$# drugger noob" anymore when you hit that repair kit.  Those days are over, watch and see.  ...and if you are the lone holdout and don't drug, even your will power will crumble since you WILL use ORGYDRUG, opps, I meant overdrive.  Hit Overdrive a few dozen times and hitting that rep kit doesn't seem as dramatic...and you have so many of them compliments of generous Tanki.   :)  Drugging is the neo-Tanki. 

 

4. Tanki: "OK, supplies are cool to use now and everyone has a bunch of freebies to get them started without being too painfull, what else?"  

    Dork by the water cooler: "Oh, oh, oh...I know!  I know!" "Cut the effectiveness of each supply!" "....oh, oh, oh, and let 'em activate concurrently!"

    Tanki: "Give that man a bonus!  Double portions in the company restaurant!"

    Players: "but...but, I just bought a bunch of supplies to get the repair kits and now they are less than HALF as effective?  That sucks, but what can I do about it?  ...I'll whine on the TANKI forum and tell these Tanki  %%@*-#^&*  just what I think about their stupid update.   ...oh yeah, Tanki doesn't give a crap...I forgot."

 

Bottom line: 

We now have lights and sound constantly bombarding us whenever we play Tanki reminding us that supplies are there to be USED (and purchased).  We have Overdrive to condition players to using supplies even if they don't use supplies.  We can't get away from supply use if we want income from Daily Missions. 

 

And remember, the free ton-o-supplies is limited...end of August.

OT, but the people who ask for new hulls are pretty stupid, IMO. Their are twice as many hulls in the game as necessary, mostly so the can alternate which one is superior. Consider: 

Light hulls, showing which is superior at which level

-WaspM0 M2

-Hornet M1 M3

 

So for the long run you want Hornet.

 

Medium

-Dictator which can so suck one, is useless noob hull should be nuked 

-Viking m0 m2

-Hunter m1 m3

 

Long run you want hunter. Hunter is also more stable and slightly higher, allowing you to mount Shaft and see over obstacles

 

Heavy

Titan m1 m3

Mammoth m0 m2

 

Long run you want Titan. Hunter m2 is basically as good as Titan m1.3, so even heavy hulls are generally useless. However, at m4 level, a Titan is pretty fast, fast enough go attack other peoples' bases.

 

A new hull is not what tanki needs. So stop *(&^U asking for one.

This is such an epic fail it's so tragic it's almost comedy gold.

Like I said, a bit of hope for Overdrives.  As much potential these new Overdrives may have, there is also potential for even more frustrating stalemates with both teams unable to overcome the others' Overdrive boosts.  Granted, only time will tell, but one thing still stands: battles are going to be full of rushes and Overdrives being thrown around...

 

Personally, I prefer it if battles were just tanks and drugs, not circuses of Overdrive madness.

Personally, I prefer it if battles were just tanks and drugs, not circuses of Overdrive madness.

If this new Overdrive as per planned come into the game, then only two weapons will be used in CTF battles, one is MAGNUM for attack & the other is FREEZE (for defense). Isida is already most important turret due to Repair Kit nerf, the only way U can cap flags is if U have Tank Bomb. 

 

Honestly, I don't understand what Tanki wants to do. They are releasing pointless updates after updates & all I see negativity among players.

I am here, to inform not only part of me but the part of many in the game, we want to return the previous drugs mode, which could give life while lowering life to others benefited us all, in this case, The drugs are nothing useful haora that this actialización of drugs, much less for those who do parkour will be impossible to do that.

Oh my god... The Repair Kit is so useless now :mellow: :mellow: :mellow: :mellow: and it still costs 150 crystals in the garage. Make it 25 crystals. Seriously.

The point of a repair kit is to survive an assult. If you have to run away to use it it is useless

 

No, the point to a Repair Kit is to repair your tank. No matter what the new RK will give you 1,000 HOP back.

 

Now look up the definition of "useless", It does not mean what you seem to think it means.

Another night of OverDrive and another night of silly battles.

 

4 out of 6 battles were complete, one-sided jokes (full disclosure I was on winner in most of those).

 

It's not that people don't know how to use it - you get same on both sides.

It's that one team will drug harder from beginning and get an advantage. At that point (often 5 min in) the battle is essentially over.

Team with OverDrive first dominates - keeps getting OD - and wins.

 

Overdrive sucks when you're on losing team.

Overdrive also sucks when on winning team because let's face it - if all your battles are one-sided they are no longer fun.

And nothing will change when there are seven different overdrives. Because the same dynamic will drive their availability. So drug drug drug to get teh early OD edge. Then it's drug drug drug plus OD OD OD as you spawn camp the cannon fodder team. There might be seven different OD types but the all share the trait of being a positiuve feedback loop. The better you start off the better you contnue to do,and so on.

 

So ... let's think a bit. Since the Top Use for the OD will be spawn camping why type of OD will be best?

 

The negate drugs will be pooor because spawning tanks get blown up to fast to use many drugs anyway. So too the bubble of protection. Slow+ invulnerable won't help. See-through walls .. nope. The turret booster would be helpful as well as the existing drug your team OD. 

 

Which one am I missing?

 

Anyway we already have shoiwn why these new ODs will under so stretch of the imagination be equally useful. 

 

Prepare for a future Tanki where everyone uses the same one or two hulls.

Useless means "has no function". 

 

There is no point to both nerfing an item and also reducing its price. The entire point is to make it less valuable than it is currently.
