Here is another reason to hate the Overdrive. Teammates have the star, and they take offense when you encourage them to use it.

 

My bet, some are so opposed to the overdrive that they'd rather act against the team than use the overdrive.

 

Understand, I mean teammates act against teammates rather than activate their overdrive.

 

It really is a bad change. It hurts game play in many ways.

I only count around 400 individual users replying in the topic that announced removal of missions from PRO. And yes, if someone doesn't complain anywhere, then they are probably fine with the update, right? I don't see what else to think here.

 

By the way, I'm not saying that players should have liked and enjoyed that update, since it was a pretty big inconvenience to all, but like I said many times before - it was a necessary change because missions were not being treated as they're supposed to. It was bad, but it wasn't "OMG THE GAME IS RUINED I QUIT!!!" kind of bad.

 

The way I like to think of it is that before that update missions could be exploited, therefore players should have been enjoying the privilege of easy missions while it was there, instead of complaining when it got fixed.

even you don't beleive that,I allways found you one of rare staff members with common sence,you are here,like me, since 2011 (in your case,if I'm not mistaking),and you can write something like that and beleive in that at the same time?..please..you honestly think that average player (and we both know that 90% of those are kids) really care about forum?..only fools like me do (no offence to anyone who reads,I hope you get the point) and try to actually help those dev hipocrits to make game STILL fun as it was before..silent majority doesn't give a * about forum,they play,or they stop playing..simple as it is

As it stands currently, overdrive is broken as a team can just group together and constantly activate it once it runs out. The positive loop mentioned by someone on the news topic is very real and even the slightest overdrive mistake can cause a team to lose. No boxes and supplies games with overdrive arent fun to play in as youre completely useless without overdrive active.

 

The current overdrive should be weakened, maybe to 15 seconds instead of 30 or having it give 2 random supplies.

My current assessment is that what might have happened by simple loss of interest over the next three or so years has happened in only ten months by the choices of those changing the game.

That seems like a logical statement. But I can't really say any more than that since I don't have any data to support or oppose this, so I won't comment anything else.

Why this game work on finance coming updates and news ha ? Look this for example other games for organizators work for peoples, voice system or kick vote, really this game in mults for not a fix (kick this player: ıf yes press f5 ıf no press f4) its hard ? And hackers for not a fix but finanace jobs have been a fix ? its laugh, ıf your want all players for find a solition but your dont do this. Tournaments for have been ''Esportchecker'' program, for hacks or other something, why dont do it something in game all players in for hackers ha? Voice system hard something ? Drugs for add sounds or overdrive graphics your can but really Tanki Online not yet have a voice system firstly game developers work like as for players easy and handy communication.

I have played games using Overdrives. Overall, meh, more variation on the drugging hell which is standard battles. I already dislike them, so what's one more thorn, right?

 

Then I played Kungur CTF. Huge map Kungur! The battle ended 10-0. The winning team had three Isidas circling the map, capturing the flag, heading each other, draining attackers, drugging, and taking turns with Overdrives. I guess that is the wolf pack folks have been talking about.

 

Anyway the losing team was impotent - short rangers got sucked by the Isidas. Long rangers just couldn't do damage quickly enough to counter Isidas healing.

 

Overdrives didn't create this problem, but they sure made it possible on Kungur scale!

 

So I'm back to what I've been saying for months - Update Isida so that it can't heal other Isidas.

Invalid.

 

You can't discriminate any turret, that is like saying Magnum should be blocked in Noise. Imagine 2 Isidas vs 2 Fires in Sandbox.. imbalance.

 

Fix or remove Overdrive, and fix Magnum.

 

About Isida my idea is to reduce healing time from 10 to 8 seconds, reduce reload from 10 to 8 seconds as well, reduce 10% of healing and increase the beam angle a little bit.

When a team works together they certainly are more potent.

 

However, there are many counters to even 3 Isidas running together.

- Magnum - the splash damage plus initial original hit can overcome even the isidas healing - it runs out.

- 3 firebirds can waste the 3 isidas. The firebirds likely will die but - the afterburn will easily finish all 3.

- Freeze - area affect will slow all of them down making them easier targets.

- concentrate on last one (need some kind of "train" or they just get tangled up - shaft can kill medium hull with one shot.

- magnum (yes - second time - it really does counter multiple isidas)

 

Isidas can't heal and attack very well due to the 5 second attack. As soon as they attack they lose a LOT of healing. So confronting them with at least one close-range turret while hitting them with ranged weapons gives them difficult choice...

Why so many? i needed about 500 drugs in total for 2000 kills and u used 378 RK for 666?

No, I used about 130 for the Giveaway. I used the first ~228 between the implementation of Overdrive and the giveaway, and the last ~50 after it ended and today. I've gotten over 10 thousand experience since Wednesday.

I agree with everything but the greed part. That is not greed on the part of Tanki, but rather relentlessly bad marketing. Another poster put it best awhile ago. I can't quote it exactly but it was along the lines of the joke, "The beatings will continue until morale improves". Tanki thinks unhappy customers will pay them to make the lack of fun go away.

 

 

Yes, it hurt the game's economy as players were getting easy rewards with very little effort. It also wasn't fair to the honest players who didn't know about the PRO battles mission exploits and struggled to complete them fairly in normal battles.

 

It's not greed, the correct term is "For-profit business", which Tanki Online is.


 

Anyway, won't argue with that anymore.

Please explain to me exactly why this is so. Show the math. Show the damage to the economy. This stuff is quantifiable. Quantify it.  

 

As for "wasn't fair to the honest players who didn't know about the PRO battles mission exploits"  umm .. this is the place where I ordinarily lose my temper. So assume I have Dear Reader. feel free to insert some purple prose.

 

In the earlier system I had to buy a Pro Pass in order t create these "exploits".   That fact gave the Pro Pass a value. So I bought them. This is not a blamkity blank exploit it is a way to invest in-game money to gain in-game performance. The ability to figure this out and use it does not make me dishonest. It makes me a good player and your "honest" players the bad players. That is what games do, they reward blankity blnak brain power. Capiche?

 

As for "So now EVERYONE must struggle with Daily Missions to the detriment of the game (fewer players).  And when you speak of "game economy" you seem to really mean profit, not in game economy...which was fine but now has been beefed up by trippleing mission chain rewards all summer.  

 

 

And Maf while you are crunching the numbers on that ruined game economy anlysis, do not forget to explain why the current tripling of mission chain rewards does not harm the economy. This particular change has given a massive boost in the Cry/play-hour ratio. A gargantuan boost that was just started w/o any prior talk or hint it was coming. Seemed like no big deal to introduce more income into the economy this time. Hmm.

 

Also you might want to explain why you think players do not play less with more tedious missions ... when Tanki has tripled these rewards to get more people to play during the summer. Hmmm. It seems that Tanki knows that mission income incentivizes players to play. Hmm. So whay do you think less reward / played-hour will not incentivize players to play less?

 

XD how am I supposed to believe that?

It really is a bad change. It hurts game play in many ways.

One advantage to the new system is all the floating stars. You soon learn when you have joined yet another All-Star Noob Team. Then you can leave for a different battle.

 

btw - vulcan sucks after overdrive update, lying trolls

Not according to the pair of Firebirds who came over the ramp expecting to toast a little Vlucan wasp. But they obviously were not the best fiebugs to strap on a tank.

Tanki from wrose to worse ,

 

Tanki was a great game between 2010 - 2012, until balance update came, with every bad update a lot of players leave the game, the number of players in tanki was almost 1m ,now it's less than half of that number, the reason is the updates, with this update a lot of players will leave this game so a little players will pay only, you will lose players and money too, and arabs too will stop paying in this game, and that update will cost you a lot of losses in money and players ,

 

from now we aren't paying . . bye bye   :lol:

Hi

What about creating a battle mode with no dropped supplies (except Gold Box) but quicker loading overdrive ?

This could help and promote collaboration.

Gold box could be shared between the team mates on the basis of their percentage of loaded overdrive (which represent their contribution to the team) with, of course,  a higher part for the catcher.

In this battle mode the value of the Gold Box could be higher because shared.

I'll talk about me and about all arabs and other communities about the new Update #469

we are the players who bought in this game , we are don't accept the new update this time , Tanki change a lot of this game to the worst  and a lot of players left the game because this reason , we are dont talk about the graphics or update the balance ,we are talking about the supplies , in the past it's was full drug it's was really strong battles in the game and the excitement was not normal , But after this tanki  start change the supplies to worst add the update  smart supplies ,and that time we make a lot of topic but tanki like all time don't listen for the players and more players left the game , And now we are talking about the new update for supplies ,tanki must listen to  us before any update ,tanki need to give chance for the players to say opinion ,  end of speech we want returned the supplies like before or we will stop buy  and stop play in the game  this time will be not like before  , all know this who buy for this game they are play full supplies (hard format ) not the players who play xp or another because for these players dosn't need a good garage or micro . , again we want the old supplies .

Finally i hope from tanki make vote about this update .
