"Challenge your Rival" System

 Share

Recommended Posts

In game/combat in any given map, if you have a premium account, you can challenge a tanker by clicking on their name and selecting Challenge. You can challenge both premium accounts and non-premium accounts. This will pop up a small icon, similar to inviting to a battle.  If they accept, it will spawn both players in a random 1 vs. 1 Death Match map.

OR an all out Death Match map at random. *Whichever is easier*

~Just like the Friends option, having a Rival option. It will bring up a whole new list just for people you would like to spar with.

This includes a Rival list you have rivals instead of friends. You wont be able to see them online (unless you choose to to put that in there), but the Challenge will still be available until you log off.

That way, if you are in the middle of a good battle, you do not lose crystals and vice versa. You can decline as well.

To prevent spam, you can only Challenge the same person once a day.

That means, Player1Player2Player3etcetera I can challenge each once per day *Unless the ignore feature prevents them from challenging you* That way if people want to continue their challenges another time during the same day, they can. If the player logs off, the challenge is reset/void.  You cannot have your rival on your friends list and vice versa.

Hope i did this right. I'd really like to see this implemented!!

I'm not sure I fully understand. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're saying, when in battle, you can challenge someone that's in the same battle.

If the challenge is accepted, both of you are whisked away to a 1v1 DM map.

The challenge will last the usual 15 minutes.

Both will receive their portion of the battle fund at the time the challenge was accepted.

Both will get battle funds from the challenge.

If, perhaps, the challenge is declined, possibly because the one you challenge has a chance of getting a big portion of the present battle fund, then the challenge becomes null and void.

The challenger will have to wait 24 hours before sending another challenge to that person.

The person you challenge cannot be on your Friends List.

Wouldn't this open the door for stalking and trolling this person? Which means you will have to enter a battle that player is in, not to participate in the battle, but for the sole purpose of sending a challenge or, yet, another challenge. Then you have the choice of either actively participating in the battle or leave.

Some players might start trolling battles, looking for what they may consider "easy prey," interrupt the natural flow of the battle, hide behind a building (or not) and  start sending out challenges to half the people playing the battle. When no challenges are accepted, then the challenger can go on to the next battle and do the same. This can be looked upon as a form of sabotage, because the challenger is not participating in the battles, but rather trolling the battles.

I think you have a good idea going, but don't make it a requirement to send the challenge within the battle. Instead, add "Challenge" to the drop down menu when you click on the player's nickname. If your challenge is accepted, then both of you will be whisked away to the 1v1 DM map from the lobby.

No, that is not what I meant at all.

In retrospect, I suppose I was not clear on the voiding the battle. That is simply for when you send an invite and you log off, the invite you sent is void upon log.

It doesn't mean that you have to battle in map you're in at that given moment, however, if you chose to leave your battle, that's really on the player. Same could be said about invites to battles from friends! It's the same scenario!

As for the lag issue. I really do not see an issue with the invites. I am sure IF this system is implemented they will more than likely add an Invite log so if you have more than one Rival challenge, you can choose between them.

This, however, I can see being a bit better suited to fit what I was thinking.  The idea really just hit me out of the blue and I started typing, only proofreading twice. :)

Not sure what they will do about the battle fund or if this will be just like 1v1 DM battle Same amount of EXP and Gems. It would make sense. Plus a bit of fun sparing your rival as well as bragging rights upon defeating him/her.
