Why so many players don't use Overdrive?

People don't use OD because everyone speaks different languages and we can't tell each other what button to press, it's utter crap and a pathetic mistake done by tanki (servers) Just fix that problem.

This would certainly account for a lot of that.

 

I ask people to use it and often get silence - no response.  I'm sure some might be ignoring me.  But I feel many don't understand me as well.

Idk.. I think people do it on purpose. Everybody on the team was telling somebody to use the overdrive, or ''power supply'' as I like to call it, but he wouldn't. I've noticed players try to get away from their team to use it..

Can you please remove the white star that indicates you have overdrive. or at least make it visible for only the player that has it. Im sick of being in battles and having kids shoot me and bump me, just earlier ive had someone not allow me to cap the flag cause i had overdrive ready. And they spam in the chat "press shift" like i know what the hell to do, im waiting for the opportune time to use it, just cause you ask me to use it dont mean i have to. I like to use it when im about to get the enemys flag. P.S capture the flag is the only game mode i play, unless theres daily missions involved. Irrelevant i know.

Near the end of this battle there were three team members sat around the flag and none of them would use overdrive. I end up doing all the work so we don't lose.

I wish they would remove it. Makes battles more unbalanced especially when people aren't aware it exists.

Personally, I keep it for Golds.

 

Selfish? I don't care. Repair Kit is a joke now. Especially during Gold, when you're under it with a constant enemy fire.

Hmm, saving it for a gold box could explain why a lot refuse to activate it. I just assumed they didn't know what it was. I guess no one cares about winning a battle anymore.

It won't be removed as it definitely does more good than bad. It allows players to know when their teammates are ready to use overdrive, so that they can quickly get together and make the most out of the bonus. Otherwise it will be like it was during the two events when overdrive was first tested - you'd have to write "I'm at 100%" in chat, then wait for people to read it, find you by nickname and come to you in order to use the bonus.

And don't forget about the players who don't have any supplies, since I think you need at least 1 of each supply to be able to use the overdrive (not sure though).

Not true, I can use it at Gefreiter and Corporal ranks (ranks 1 and 2 after Recruit)

If people are around you press it. That's the opportunity so not just you but your teammates can make a difference in battles.

I don't use it much in part because I am not used to it yet and also because I don't like this new feature.  Its like everyone in the battle is now hyper drugged up all the time.  It takes the least desirable aspect of the game, excessive drugging,  and makes it a standard feature in every battle.  I have found myself playing a lot less tanki these days.  Just don't enjoy it like I used to

So... you don't want to help your team-mates?  You are "sticking it to the man" by sticking it to your team-mates?

 

It's simple... when you have the white star (100%) and are near a few team-mates that are not already "drugged up" just press the shift key. Voila - those tankers are now empowered.

 

I'm not a fan of the update either. But since it's there, and the enemy is using it, why would I not use it to help my team?

People "Saving" their star when there's 40 seconds left in the game. Clear-cur situationone after the other.

 

So the only answer to this topic is: Vast numbers of Tanki players are simply poorly--skilled gamers.
