Spectator Mode?

Recommended Posts

I have a pretty cool idea which i'm honestly surprised its not in the game or at least yet. Now this ain't game changing. But, what if ya'll implement some kind of spectator mode? This is mainly for them 1v1s , but this should only stick to pro battles. I have had many times where i have guys that think they are better than each other and then find who the better of them are  in a 1v1 on sandbox capture the flag with only railgun and hornet/wasp mostly. And, having a 3rd, 4th, 5th person you see where im going with this.....in the same exact game able to shoot, able to move but only wanna watch these 2 guys 1v1, can cause a disruption in the 1v1 and then you trolls who get bored and would sabotage the game. This is an easy solution i know the fans would want in the game. I would say have an option when you have a pro battle pass creating a battle where you could activate spectator mode in case some of you have friends that wanna watch and/or if theres a clan war but your not part of the battle, you could spectate and i would allow as many spectators, literally anyone can join and spectate if they want. But, it doesnt just have to be a 1v1, it could be a 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 is how far i would allow us to turn on spectator mode. Also, maybe have battles in the main menu have a different color for players to recognize that "hey if i join this battle i will only be able to spectate". And, if you dont wanna spectate any more you can easily leave the game like you normally would in a battle. Only downside is you wouldnt be getting any crystals or completing daily missions unless the developers want us to. I would have spectator mode in the game if i was a developer but hey i dont know what it takes or what it would take to implement this in the game.

Sorry, spectator mode isn't planned to ever be made publicly available in Tanki Online for various technical and other reasons. It's already a public feature in Tanki X, however.

well spectator mode was meant to be a special feature for eSports commentators at first so they can spectate/observe the whole map, however not too late until they specialized it also for parkour spectators, or YouTubers promoting tanki by posting videos about it so your idea will make the spectator mode worthless and everyone would be more likely to play the game just to observe.

What about creating a spectator vision from this box http://prntscr.com/fwkff0 which allows you to see the gameplay occurring in the battle. let's say if u know the battle fund is huge and there's not spot left for u to join and you're super excited to watch this batte. all u have to do is click the battle and it automatically shows u in the window up there, u can't move it or something, and it stands in the middle above, instead of the picture of players fighting

Dam it. I knew it wouldnt be a feature mainly due to technical issues but it always fun to speculate. I just wanted spectator mode to watch 1v1s instead of being in the actual game watching it, it does affect the gameplay but i guess it aint that big of a problem.

Definitely not. Seeing the battle in such a small window won't really tell you much about it, while loading a battle view every tine you click on a battle in the list is a massive waste of resources and would probably severely worsen lag and loading times.
