L1 - nothing

L2 - Tab, Shift, 1, 2, Q

L3 - Z, 3, 4

L4 - X, 4, 5, C, E, F, G

L5 - Space

 

I have custom controls for gold and the movement keys, so:

 

R1 - nothing

R2 - NumPad 1 (left), = (gold box)
R3 - NumPad 5 (forwards), NumPad 2 (backwards)
R4 - NumPad 3 (right)

R5 - nothing

All I did is move the numpads a but. 1 became SU and 6 became RK. I did this because I was mistakenly triggering RKs too often with fat fingers.

 

The other change is a disable the Gold Box entirely. I have a few of them ti be dropped to myself when I get Catch a GB for Crystals (not Supplies) mission. That way I don't drop them by mistake.

I changed:

I just moved the left hand buttons up one and the right buttons to the , l . and / for one specific reason:

 

Keyboard ghosting. This setup prevents it 100%

I don't pay too much attention to where my fingers are at during a battle, because I am more focused on the battle, so I rely on sense of touch here. But these are the keys that my fingers control.

 

L1 - tab (scoreboard)

L2 - Q (I think it's the default camera up key)

- 1 (repair kit supply)

- 2 (double armor supply) depending on the situation though.

L3 - E (I think it's the default camera down key)

- 2 (double armor supply) depending on the situation though.

- 3 (double damage supply)

- 4 (speed boost supply)

- 5 (mines)

- 6 (overdrive)

- R (show other players stats)

- T (drop flag)

L4 - Z (turret left)

- X (turret right)

- left shift (overdrive)

- F (drop flag)

L5 - spacebar (shoot)

R1 - right shift (overdrive)

R2 - arrow keys (tank movement controls)

R3 - arrow keys (tank movement controls)

R4 - arrow keys (tank movement controls)

- 1 numpad key (overdrive)

R5 - 0 numpad key (shoot)

 

I get QE keys mixed up, I don't change their functions. My spacebar sometimes acts funny, so that's why I have a secondary shoot key.

To save costs, keyboard companies made pressing certain keys at the same time not work. Now we have anti ghosting keyboard that cost ridiculous amounts of money.

I use alternate tank controls because of ghosting. And since I'm used to alternate tank controls, I can't go back. But the problem is even in alternate controls my keyboard still ghosts.

I am such a pro, I imitate all those pro Russian players such as 4NKN_KA3eJI and 6OJIbWON_HYb. I replaced my x, c, and z keys with 1, 2, and 3.

Okay, so that's why my turret won't turn sometimes while maneuvering my hull at the same time.
