Overdrive should have a smaller effect on teammates

When a person activates overdrive, his teammates should only receive half of the duration and ability of the supply. This means that the teammate's supply will only lasts 15 seconds, health and damage increase by 50% instead of 100%,speed increases by 20% instead of the 40% RK only heal 2000hp and mines dealing only 600 to 1200 damage. This should be able to help reduce the huge advantage that the team have if they are able to activate overdrive before the other team can do so.

This one works both ways.. with the only exception I've noticed, if you have a "bad" team... not bad players, but not a group "team" players. In which case they all run around every man for himself, not using it with anyone else.  So if you're playing a better organised team you're in for merry hell.  Other than that, I'm quite happy with the way it works.

 

The only other thing I've noticed is, that late comers start with an empty gauge... which means a team that was full at the start will always have all over drives at their disposal around the same time.  In this way its possible to get from one of a map to the other and back, simply having one member user overdrive as the previous one wears off.  While the other team have to wait for something to come along.  A pause/cooldown between overdrives might be an idea...

A team that is team oriented will use OD to the team's advantage and is hard to beat. Individuals who are on a team, but are not team players will use OD strictly for themselves or not at all. It's like they are afraid if they use it, it will no longer be available throughout the rest of the battle. Teams who have individuals on a team, but are not team players or have lost sight of the objective, are usually easy to beat, in any mode. 

 

Personally, I have no problem with OD as it is. I'm a team player and prefer to use it on other players and not just for myself. If I see a team mate with very low health, I'll use my OD on that player, whether I need it or not.

I disagree, that is why you have to be precise on your actions on how to use overdrive. Since the RK update, overdrive can be easily good as bad.

I disagree. The overdrive feature is already good, but the repair kit is too weak because its effect stops when someone shoots at you. If the overdrive gives only 50% of effect to team mates in team battles, then the overdrive will become useless, since it can only be used 3 times in a 15 minute battle.

 

For the overdrive to become more useful and effective, it must remain as it is and other overdrives must be added to make it more powerful and useful to help teams who are in danger or dying too quickly or losing a battle.

 

Please "Decline" this suggestion because it is too bad for the overdrive.

I think the Mods should be thinking about declining all your crap ideas  ;) . You don't say decline this suggestion, why not improve his idea.

I agree. Overdrive should have less effect, how about it only gives you and your team mates one supply each?

 

The system should decide which players gets which supply.

 

If you're low on health it gives you a Repair Kit, if not it could give you any other supply that you are not using at the moment, randomly.

 

It should charge equally for all, and if your team has less players, Overdrive should charge faster for your team.

I agree with you on the overdrive. When I'm on the losing team I find that my team isn't losing 7-0 flags because of their skill. It's because over half of them aren't using the overdrive while the enemy has perfect team work. But as for the repair. The repair is meant to heal a tank. Nothing more, nothing less, and using repair in the middle of a battle to get out of death isn't the correct way of using it and will get your tank destroyed. Get cover then use repair. In the middle of a fight using any supply is not wise, you should use it before the engage.

The overdrive must remain strong and must have new overdrives added as well. Since overdrive only lasts for 30 seconds, it is not overpowered, nor disturbing game balance. The overdrive must be strong enough for players so that players manage to survive when collecting gold boxes.

 

I have seen players that only use the overdrive to collect gold boxes.

The overdrive is just an option that you can use. You don't have to use it if you don't like it.

 

I like the overdrive, but I find it too weak.

If you do not use the overdrive you will have more chances of dying.

 

I am not preventing you or other players from using the overdrive. Use overdrive as you please. To make the overdrive very effective, use it near your team mates in team battles.

Breathing is just an option that you can do. You don't have to breath air it if you don't like it.

Due to the changes in overdrives, the supply overdrive no longer has such a significant effect on teammates, since only Dictators have it. And 4 out of 7 overdrives can't be shared at all. The suggestion is no longer applicable.
