Let's discuss Matchmaking map changes!

Yes, there's always going to be the option to view the battle list like you can now. The question is how many people will still use it over the MM system. If many people still use it, I guess you'll be okey.

 

 

Why though? They are awesome changes, and I actually wish they added those changes to regular battles too (not just MM ones). They said they don't want to change the originals because people will complain, so I suggest that they just add the ones and keep the old ones, and name the new ones MapName ll and the old ones MapName l (there used to be such maps in Tanki a while back).

I have just that small nostalgic feeling.

You think not, but I know yes. ;) Watch the V-LOGs and the livestreams, the developers speak about the upcoming MM system quite a bit.

Polygon is beautiful!

 

 

omg, it's not even Polygon anymore. They added like a third of the original map to the new map.

The Polygon map is one of the best maps for playing CP battles.

 

There are just two areas on the Polygon maps that needs tweaking a little.

 

The tunnel in the Polygon map must be made 1 square longer (5 metres) so that players can have more room and also get a better camping ground when using turrets such as Shaft and Magnum. Magnum players would find this longer tunnel a better place to camp because Magnum takes 3 seconds to fully reload.

 

Another area that needs to be amended on the Polygon map is where there is this area at the end of the map with the self-destruct zones. This area is a good camping ground for Shafts, so my suggestion is to remove all the spawn points so that players no longer spawn in this location and destroy the Shaft players in this area. There is also a need for one more gold box drop zone there as well. This is the small desert area behind the Polygon map at the very back, opposite from the other end where the tall, large ramp is located.

 

The Polygon map must be made more suitable for players using long range turrets like Shaft, Striker and Magnum. That is the reason why I am suggesting this small change. In overall, the rest of the map must remain the same.

 

I have heard a few V-Logs ago that the new matchmaking system would rework all of the maps in Tanki Online.

 

Do you agree with my suggestion for a better, reworked Polygon map?

I know what you mean, but I'm happy for the changes. Its been since when, about 2014? Since maps have had any sort of major changes to them. It might spice battles up a bit more and add some new tactics. Right now its all the same, because its been 3 years of the same tactics.

I don't think I've been this excited for an update in a long time. The new Polygon, Highland, and Rio look awesome! I have mixed feelings about the removal of the tunnel in Industrial Zone and I can't say I like the removal of tunnels in Solikamsk, but we'll see.

Never saw these before on current maps

 

 

They must be texture glitches, they don't show for me. But they look pretty cool.

The test servers aren't a playground and since the test servers are mostly used for a reason - testing. Sometimes mass testings are held which means you can access the servers without a code. The rest of the time you will need a code that only Testers and specific players have. Unfortunately no one else knows these codes but if you become a RU tester, you will be able to have access but you should be fluent with RU language to be accepted as a tester.

Sometimes they are open but most of the time they are not open for public and Russian testers only have those codes so what you can do is either way till they are open for public or simply apply as a RU tester in the RU Forum.

I think you should check the second post of this topic (the one with the Polygon picture), since your idea has basically been implemented. The reworked Polygon map will be much bigger and the camping spots have been nerfed. it will be available once the Matchmaking system is released.

You need to understand that the Polygon map must provide good camping ground for Shaft, Striker and Magnum players.

The area behind the house has been expanded, so players can't camp there anymore. Also, one of the two high platforms was removed. 

And NO, Polygon should not be a camping ground.

Test server is closed currently.

 

What will happen to the tunnel where the control point used to be located?

Nothing. It does not need to be lengthened, because that would facilitate camping.
