Over heating effect-Twins

Valid

This has been suggested a few times before. I find it very unlikely. Overheating is Vulcan's feature, while Twins is unique in a sense that it's the only turret that can deal damage rapidly without having to reload. Because of this, developers gave it a different set of disadvantages, including limited range, slow projectile speed and self-damage.

Self-damage is easily negated by anyone with crystals though, through the Alteration.  So not much of a disadvantage - especially for buyers.

I like this Idea. Drugging Twinses are the worst to cope with. No skill is needed to use the turret. An extra feature like this is needed in my opinion. :)

No splash with the alteration though, so that's a disadvantage...

Twins was only given Splash as a nerf because it was considered OP.

And most don't like the self-damage trade-off so they buy the Alteration. Only tankers not buying it don't have crystals yet.

Net effect is that twins is back to it's OP state before Splash added.

twins is one of the few ways(actually it's the only surefire way i know of) to relive your team from being spawn killed tilll the end of the match. a couple of my friends have twins+mammoth/titan in their garages just in case their team gets spawn killed. everytime my leader thinks the fight is getting too close to our base she gives the order and they change to twins+mammoth/titan  and brigh the fight back to at least the middle. spawn killing has been becoming a big problem, i do not think nerfing twins would be such a good idea.

Actually the real disadvantage is that the twins user with the alteration will find it much much harder to get back on their tracks if they are on their side.

Do I look like a buyer to you? Let me tell you - I am not. I earn all my crystals and drugs.

And how many times tanks are on their side during battles?

There are a lot of mults that flip you because they want the flag. And twins is popularly used with viking, and viking is pretty unstable....so is hornet, another popular hull with twins.

What would be the use of twins then?

The same, you just have to be more careful, and know when to shoot and when to stop shooting.

Then my idea of better Recoil will help that.

You didn't know?

Ok I'll explain, so the standard twins has splash impact and the recoil in this scenario, right? Well, when we equip the alteration, we only have the recoil to work with, and we all know how very little recoil it has. With the splash, you can get yourself back on your tracks with no problem. Without splash, it's rather hard even in space mode parkour, the only way to solve this issue is either to have someone help you back on your tracks or self destruct.

Don't you think that it will make Viking and hornet weaker than it already is?

Maybe, but why do Twins have 250 to 500% more Impact than Recoil? It is very annoying.

The other way to go is with 20 (M0) - 40 (M3+) Impact and Recoil, and a buff in other parameters.

Well, I figured that out, but didn't think that the addition of impact force would be enough to allow twins to flip back on its tracks. That's actually quite useful.

But twins is designed to suppress enemy tanks, not to mention it's a double barrel turret like striker is. So if we did what you proposed, then don't you think that we would have to do the same thing to striker?

I only noticed it when playing with it for a while and after many failed attempts to get myself back on my tracks even though I have fired constantly into the ground. :P
