Vikings needs to be reworked.

So back in October 2016, there was a rebalance update that occurred that basically switched the stats of viking and hunter. And even though there was a reason behind this, I don't see the need for such drastic changes.

 

Due to the fact that Viking is slightly longer and wider than hunter, doesn't mean it should be based on realism. For a Viking, the weight is most concerning since its easier to hit its corners than a hunters corners. So Here's the current stats:

-- Top Speed Weight Power
M0 7.7 1300 820
M1 8.23 1682.35 975.88
M2 8.76 2064.71 1131.76
M3 9.08 2294.12 1225.29
M4 9.5 2600 1350

 

 

So my proposal is not to switch back the stats but instead to do the following changes:

-- Top Speed Weight Power
M0 7.3 1600 1050
M1 7.71 2050 1200
M2 8.12 2595 1465
M3 8.31 2850 1600
M4 8.65 3100 1800

 

I think this change might be necessary in order to prevent Viking from being considered a light hull.

I hate the fact that viking cannot push hornet. For me it is my favourite hull.

I agree. Viking used to be able to push pretty much anything. It was the most balanced hull in the game until the rebalance update of October 2016. And taking into consideration that hornet is faster with less health. I would say that Viking today feels more like a slightly slower hornet with more health than it once was.

It's, the viking that is, is also not as stable as it used to be IMHO, but I don't have any facts to back it up.

Don't worry, all you need to do is list your experiences with the instability of viking.

m8, you literally put it back to its old stats but more OP than ever... (except its hp) (power is acceleration)

the point of rebalance was to swap hunter and viking stats to nerf out those players who uses viking before with an OP combo from isida, i recommend viking (for your stats) to buff power and weight by 5%, which can show a significant change (trust me) but we'll leave the speed as it is cause it swap stats with hunter, and due to a increased in weight and power, itll make logical sense that (yes, im taking it logical now) that its current speed right now (9.5) is 0.5 slower than hunter m4 was (m4 hunter = 10)

To be honest, isida is terrible with Viking not to mention it looks terrible on a Viking. It's common sense to use it on a hunter than on a Viking.

 

Not to mention that isida will always ruin gameplay. But that wasn't the fault Viking and it didn't deserve to be nerfed like this.

This has got to change. I have an M2 Viking that is MU'd the max and it still gave way head-to-head (although grudgingly) to a Hunter M2 with only 2 MU's. And Viking never moved when it got hit, it was a rock. Now it's like Viking is a hovercraft - any little bump will send it spinning.

Yeah, nowadays, Viking is like a slower and more stretched out version of hornet with more health. We might as well call it hornet II while it's in this mess.
