In-game "Disasters"

I won't be surprised if this suggestion is not accepted, but I just kinda wanted to throw this out there in case it wasn't mentioned before, (and please don't merge it, unless there is an identical topic somewhere).


 


Briefly speaking, my idea is that as well as having a randomly occurring Gold Box drop during a battle which causes players to focus on and rush towards a drop zone, what if there were also randomly occurring disasters in battles?


 


Just to elaborate, these could be bombs, nukes, gas attacks, et cetera, that occur at random points on a given map. Once the disaster is announced, players must avoid it in order to survive. In addition, it would be nice if players who survive the disaster receive some sort of reward, (experience, crystals, et cetera).


 


Developers can add to this idea if they see some potential in it.

Sounds interesting. Reminds me of the red zone area in PUBG, but I'm sure this exists as different variants in many other games.

Yes. We should have a gold box that works in the opposite direction to the normal gold box. Instead of having players rush and run to grab a gold box, this time, players will run away with fear of dying in a nuclear bomb.

Good idea, air strikes and nuclear attacks should happen when people are spawn killing, the nuclear attack should hit around the middle of the map, and air strikes surrounding the spawn killed area.

I like the sound of that...

No warnings just the siren :P  And then tankers get scared the crap and run away like little babies! Love it! It will add that feeling of a war back!

Sounds nice, but it can't be too common like a gold box. Actually, since you can drop golds how.........

 

I think there should be a disaster where you can't move your turret. It would be great cause no one is used to it. Wait actually...

Isn't this section called Ideas and Suggestions? Every single suggestion is someone's imagination, if you haven't already noticed. Plus I even emphasised my doubt that it will be added, so please don't add insult to injury.

Now that we know Wasp will have a nuke overdrive, I don't know if there is a point adding another occasional nuke to the game. I'm scared that it will change from Tanki Online to Electromagnetic Pulse Online. However, I will wait to see the respected developers' decision.

Imagine this. Just like there is a gold box supply, there could be a tactical nuke supply that dropped a warhead in the enemy base. Would be twice the price a gold 2 USD for a nuke, and it would be always in the enemy base. Would not be able to be used in maps like Duel and Garder, where it would dmg everyone. This would be useful for clearing out the enemy base.

It is a good think to have such kind of disasters in Tanki Online maps at random times. However, Wasp shall soon have a nuclear bomb overdrive which will destroy all nearby enemies with one bast mega-tonne bomb when the overdrive is activated.

Instead of having this in every battle, I think it should be part of a Holiday Event. Normal battles (CTF, TDM, CP, DM) with normal play, but constantly being bombarded with air raid attacks and bombs destroying both teams. 

 

In DM everyone would be killed or damaged by the attacks making some kills a little easier. On the other hand, you could be trying to kill the enemy when a bomb steals your kill. You would get points for damage but not the kill, though this might make DM missions last a little longer. 

 

Using it as a Holiday Event would give the players a chance to actually play the mode and make comments. If it's a popular battle mode then it could be implemented into maps on a more permanent basis. Come to think of it, this idea could become another battle mode by itself.....CTF, TDM, CP, DM, WZ (War Zone).

I feel like this could be used if there is a one sided battle...

 

Lets say the red team is winning by 5 flags (or 150 Control Points, ect..), The server/game will recognize this and drop a nuke, bombs, acid, whatever.. in order to give the blue/losing team a chance to regroup and let them all spawn.

 

Now of course this can also kill the blue/losing team but the red/winning team will also die and have to re spawn which will reset their drugs and  hopefully in the end prevent spawn killing/camping. I believe this will help balance one sided battles...

How would a gas attack have any effect on tanks?

Gas bomb explodes, gas comes through your computer, laptop, etc. You pass out and by the time you come out of it, your tank has been booted from the battle for non-activity. Sounds simple enough to me.  :D
