Another good alteration for mines would be to have an alteration to magnetize mines so that when an enemy passes by, the mine will magnetize the enemy tank and then explode on contact. That is also a good alteration to avoid the wastage of mines.

As well as having alterations for mines, I have a concept for having alterations for mines. My idea is to have alterations for mines that makes mines behave in an altered way, without breaking game balance. By having different alterations to change the way mines work, it stops the use of mines from being boring and always the same.

 

1. Double Damage mine alteration for destroying a tank with 1 mine.

 

2. Drop 2 mines within 1 second of time.

 

3. Mines follow enemy target

 

4. Mines have splash damage and self damage.

 

5. Mines don't disappear when player dies.

 

Here are my five suggestions for good alterations for mines.

 

I hope that developers plan on releasing alterations for mines, just like they did with turrets. Mines are like turrets, they are made to damage and destroy enemy tanks on the ground of the battlefield.

The player should start with one of these, and be only able to equip one at a time. Otherwise, these will be OP, and since they will cost crystals, will benifit buyers and make the game more pay2win.

Then that is not a mine, but it is a good idea.

 

Maybe mine variations can exist in Clan and Parkour battles, where we would have the option to select which type of mine we want mines to be. There could be the regular mine, there could be another that lasts 5 minutes even if the owner dies but only damages 1000hp, there could a magnetized explosive ball, like your idea here, that if an enemy tank is close it will roll towards that tank and explode on contact, and so on.

The basic idea of making mines more addaptable is very good. But. Do you know that alterations are only specific feature for turrets only? Mine is supplie. If you suggest adding alteration to supplies, then all others should have the same. Im not sure how would that be possible.

  • My suggetstion:

Add a splash effect to mines, approximately as thunders splash but times 2. As addition splash demage would lift the tank more up in the air so it can affect light hulls to maybe even flip which could be very usseful.

If you ask me all those ideas you mentioned are not possible to be added and unnecessary as mine is supplie, not weapon. Only tweaking its parameters is possible right now IMO or as i mentioned at upper suggestion, to add splash demage, kinda like real mines are.

Stun Traps'

 

To break the monotony of having only a single type of Mine, a different type of Mine can be added, driving over which will act as a Freeze and slow down the tank. If a tank steps on a Stun Trap, a freezing effect lasting around 2 to 3 seconds will act on it. After that, the effect will gradually decrease and finally allow the tank to move at its original pace. A single Stun Trap deployed will only freeze one tank and cause no damage whatsoever. A repair kit can be used to remove the freezing effect only after those 2-3 seconds.

If a player bought a mine alteration, does that affect all 3K+ mines in the inventory until you either turn it off or buy another alteration? OR can a player decide how many mines would be affected? I think it there should be two slots for mines. One for regular mines and one for altered mines with a time delay.

We need different types of mines. Mines that follows enemies and mines that sprays tyre grids.

Tanks don't have tires, they have tracks or treads. Anyway, are you suggesting they would be sprayed with oil, perhaps?

No. But mines could be oil bombs.

I think we are on the same page. Spreading an oil slick so tracks spin but go nowhere.

An oil slick is an idea I had in mind before. It would be good to have an oil slick turret. When the turret gets in contact with Firebird, the oil slick lights up and burns the ground. Any tanks on the oil slick would catch fire and very quickly take lots of damage, then blow up to bits.
