Declined Shooting through Teammates

By now, most of us have been flipped by a teammate. They shoot at us, and we flip over, sometimes even while carrying the flag. You all know how annoying that is.

I suggest that we remove the ability to hit your own teammates with your own shots. This eliminates the problem that arises when a teammate flips us or knocks off our aim. It also eliminates the problem where teammates block our shots and we miss, do reduced damage, or self-destruct.

This could result in some really unfair situations, where, for example, 3 Freezes are attacking and hitting a Mammoth with 50% Freeze protection, which blocks their way. And while they're having difficulty destroying him, the Mammoth's teammates just shoot the Freezes through the Mammoth and effortlessly kill them. It makes sense that teammates block shots, so that's not a problem.

 

As for accidentally flipping teammates - there is another idea about shots not dealing any knockback to teammates.

how about maybe you don't shoot through your teammates but rather make it such that our teammates don't absorb our impact. we don't take damage when friendly fire is turned off so i don't see why the same can't be applied for damage.
