CP: points for loosing team grow faster

So if a losing team is losing by 25 to 74 points. Their points will increase by 2x the current rate.

If they are losing by 75 to 900 points, their points will increase by 3x the current rate.

All this if they capture the point.

Of course there is one downside to this.


 

How about as an option in pro battles and will work only if supplies, drop boxes(except gold boxes), and overdrives are disabled?

CP sucks the way it is now, and this will make it worse. It means a group of druggers can join the losing team a few minutes before the end and get the rewards, all the hard work of the other team for nothing.

No. Too many options means too many battles with fewer players.

Don't the points of the losing team already go up faster?

 

I mean, technically I've heard that it is the winning team's points that go up slower, but the effect is the same, innit?

Yes, this is true. The idea is about making the difference in growth even bigger.

 

The people that would profit most are take over teams, as with a faster growing score they have to invest less time (and less drugs) to win the battle fund. While this may still sound fair in drug free pro battles, the effect in drug battles will be devestating for free players.

That's why I said that it will only work as a pro battle option and only if all supplies, drop boxes(except gold boxes), and overdrives are disabled. :P

But don't forget that in MM battles it will be unlikely to have a takeover party playing against a bunch of random players.

This topic should be declined because what if there are only 4 CP points and the blue team has captured 2 CP points alongside the red team capturing 2 CP points. What if the red team is winning, that would mean the blue team would be gaining more points which is tactically unfair.

Dieselplatinum what I actually meant is there could be a slight tweak in your idea because of my point on top. Your idea would more likely make sense in a bigger map such as dussledorf in which it has much more CP points :)

Wasn't this posted before the update that made the winning team's points decrease if the losing team has more points? Regardless, catching up in CP mode is extremely easy for the losing team once they start to get an advantage, so the idea is no longer applicable. Marking it completed.
