such a  update ever.. why we play battle ur choice?while clicking on dm/ctf/cp/tdm battle? why we dnt choose our like battles? this is wrose update.. :angry: .. if this update will come in tanki permanently i will leave tanki.

and why removed mission tab? how we knws our mission get completed or not?or how many kills/xp/other missions remain to complete?

I am not able to make progress on my missions. I  have to collect 3 DA boxes. I did that but shows me 0/3. Why.

 

I guess you have to stay till the end of the battle for it register, i guess,

 

a way to force people not leave the battle

this is a disaster!!!!!!

horrible i feel like quitting tanki , and toooo much lag. cant see missions during battle, cant join with my friends properly. i hate this!!!!!

Yep, these must be hard times for players without top equipment. I'm on the other side of the scale (full m4), but it's no fun slaughtering low ranked players with much worse equipment.

 

3. Playing with higher ranks make us sitting ducks. Even though the match making system makes sure that both team are equally balanced in strength, but I will be a M2 and on the opposite team, there will be a legend with M3+micro upgrades and I will definitely lose to him. This is really unfair.

It doesn't even ensure that. Seen some really unbalanced battles today:

The tanki is now too too too boaring it was better till when there was en plzz make it the older tanki no one play it now in the chat section no one chats there are less battles and the new update i forget its name but in the new update we can play new battles and its too too too boaring it dont start i wait for 30 minuetes for it to start plzz make the tanki older till en it was cool

The game system works great but I've just experienced 2 FPS and 192 PING lag when I joined Osa CTF by matchmaking "Play" button - everyone in the map had similar lag so they all left immediately. This is due to matchmaking system so here's my feedback.

I have never posted on this forum, but I read it sometimes.  I used to love playing Tanki.

 

In the past I just lived with the terrible game dulling updates, but this Matchmaking system is beyond awful.  If this stays in the game, I won't bother with Tanki anymore.  This coming update makes playing too tedious and time consuming with no feeling of accomplishment or pride in achievement.

 

It is amazing to me that administration must see the numbers of players dwindling, but they continue on the same course of destruction.  Why not try to make players happy with the game?  It's a game and should be fun, not irritating.  Tanki seems to be suicidal.

Well, lucky for you, in the final iteration matchmaking will be optional. You will be able to create custom battles without a pro pass, or use the matchmaker. In fact, you can do this even in the test right now! The catch is you will not be able to complete missions in custom battles.

Matchmaking system is only test, it will not yet be a permanent part of the game. Idk why you think no one chats, but that is probably because of merging of servers.

The new battle system is pretty good, kinda like Tanki X. But i still think i could need some improvements. I would like to see what map i join, who i play with, and such. I know you have that time before battle where you can go around the map and everyone before start, but i would like to know what map it is BEFORE the battle pops up. The loading time is very long, and i miss the ability to see my missions in battles. Cause now if you forgot a mission you have to leave the battle to find out what kind of missions you have. And i would like a group chat. I miss the old matchmaking system. A very crazy idea that i have that many would like is that you could choose in the settings which battle system you prefer you know? :)

As I feared....

 

This system highly favours higher ranked supertanks, making the rest of us tank-fodder.

 

We are put into battle in the midst of the ranks, having to use vast amounts of drugs to stay alive, so that those with crystals (often backed by paying large sums for upgrades etc.) can blow us to smithereens and further upgrade themselves at our expense .... :(

So you find the new system "pretty good", but your improvement suggestions are in complete contradiction to the very nature of matchmaking, which doesn't let you choose where you play and who to play with. You're not making sense..

First and foremost, @DesmondDoss - I agree with all your points and simply want to add my voice to your concerns.

 

Here are some thoughts to try and help people see things from a "Business" or "Development" perspective

 

I get that this is a BETA... and with that comes monkey wrenches, bugs, imperfections, etc... And given how much some of us really enjoy this game, its hard to put aside what we are used to and see things from a development point of view.  We are used to a "mostly" smooth Live Production environment, and I would argue that most who play have never been involved with any real BETA environments. Notice I said "most" I am sure there are a few here that have :D

 

To clarify, I mean "real BETA" environment as something that is not "Public" but either internal or you are invited to participate through some form of registration, free or paid ie: like a developer program.

 

In development, your project eventually hits a point where your testing has gone as far as it can go, and you need real world "Data" to compare against to find those last lingering issues you may never have dreamt of.

 

Development/Engineering teams do their best to plan on scenarios that end users will take their code through. Yet, there are those times that some users will surprise you with some absurd case scenario that leaves you scratching your head going "I never could have imagined that" or react with "Your using it wrong! How the...H**L did you do that?" Because to you, your "logic" or "intent" for your code looked perfect on Paper, and it ran great in your "test" environment.

 

That was meant as no slam against end users or developers, Just more of a reminder that End Users and Developers a lot of the time, see the intended use,  interface, logic, what have you... can be two entirely different points of view. Part of BETA testing is about bringing those two (or many) points of view in line with each other.... Hopefully....  

 

However, that being said, there is nothing wrong with pointing out issues, that are hard to see in no other environment, then a live production environment.  What made sense in theory, on paper, in Alpha testing, etc... may still utterly fail. And then again, it maybe a "Steve Jobs" with Apple approach, "People don't know what they want till you show/tell them" And that is the gamble

 

I agree, that there are some strong issues with this new system, but it is BETA, and can change, may change, will change. But that change can't happen if there are no users actually testing it, vetting it out. 

 

I would love to see changes to its "Current incarnation" I don't believe that matchups are Balanced. I am sure that has to be a difficult thing to determine.

 

Do you go based on;

  • Level, Gear, Player Stats (ie: D/L ratio, modules, micro-upgrades, how often they play, performance metric of some kind, are they "skilled" cause they "drug it up" or are they good "All Natural?")
  • In a Clan, or Not? (some clans offer training of their ranks, to ensure a minimum playing skill standard
  • Does how many of "X" or "Y" Hull/Turret in the current match factor in?
  • What maps are used for what type of "tanks" or what type of "Match" they are in?
  • What Match types do the players prefer? Maybe have more matches of the "preferred" type going to make the queue time smaller?
  • Can the system take into account what "Mission Types" are assigned out to players, so the servers could be ready with additional matches to shorten queue times?
  • Is it possible to localize people to a server cluster when not in a game, then the "Match Up" system looks across all game servers or "Match Server Clusters" and fills games from that "Localized" server cluster?
    • ie: when I am not in a game, and I am in what I call the "lobby area" that is somewhat localized on a server cluster/group that does nothing but the "lobby area",then when you queue up for a game, it looks across all servers and creates games based on need. Then are you pulling from a larger player base to create games, then what is limited to a single server.
    • You could even dedicate some "Match" servers (clusters) to specific Match types. ie: DM's are on all run on EU1-3, TDM, on EU4-6, CP on EU??... you can then control how many of those type of games are run on that server (cluster)
      ***Wondering if game type, which map, and player count, contribute to server load/Latency***Also, are these KVM,Hyper-V, Vmware, Bare Bones, or no virtualization?***
    • Maybe it will reduce server load, and latency and improve game play, and utilize server hardware that may not be getting much use, but other servers are getting the crap beat of them. Due to me being able to change to other server{,s} at will...I might start to max out its connections, driving server load, etc... ? (Assumptions are obviously made here)
  • Or maybe group players with-in "Rank" range, or the same criteria used to match them up in game Matches? 
    • ie: EU1-4 is for Legends - Generals/Marshals? EU5-6 for Major Colonel - Warrant Officer? Or 1-2 ranks lower as they have proven they can hang with the greater ranks. (Kind of pulling the Rank range from my butt, hopefully my point got across though)
    • I know for me, I have been owned and face rolled by much lower ranks, simply due to me being "outplayed!". The skill of the player totally mitigated my level and gear, and I was put 6 feet under... :huh:

 I think you get the idea...

The thing is , for mission you are forced to play MAPS that you can NOT LIKE , chosen randomly ( i mean , it happens )  ..why doing something that you do not like in a game ? i mean " the experience" .

Let me choose the MAP , and lets see that random thing if it works after that.. the ONLY GOOD thing it's the mult avoiding system in that ,
which is a big YEs , but there is a lot to do to get good Vibe from it

Super update, no more mults, sabotagers, free pro pass etc... One question..: When I entered random CP battle ( From MM system ) It joined me to "Yorkshire" Map ( Which is Happy New Year! Map ) But when I wanted to create it in battle list it wasn't here... Strange.. Was it some bug, glitch or..? Video:

In addition to my previous comment, I have to add the most serious and decisive disadvantage:

 

​In this mode, you have no choice to avoid being in battles, where drug addicts are. This is crucial to me and many other players.

 

​To make it very clear: Should this become the general mode of the game, my time playing tanki.online is over for good. Based on comments of a good number of other players, it can be expected that they react the same as so many before.

 

​Skilled players do not play with druggies.
