Testing of Matchmaking System on EU servers

 For the last two years, I have been wondering if Tankionline can think of a more stupid update prom the last change ... and he's already here :)
 

This "TEST", if ever, becomes a reality, I do not see why Tankionline needs to be played?

Then why dont u buy PC with Windows 95 orginnaly in it? Old is gold, go and play your minesweeper.

Why you buy new phone, but dont use the old ones in house? Why you use cars, not horse?

Nothing wrong with minesweeper :P  I have an old Dumb-phone... all it does is Duh.. make phone calls, oh and of course SMS..  In this day and age, much as you might like to have a horse... its blinkin' expensive.  Oh, and best of all, if I could play Tanki on my Apple][ I would.

this update is a big crap! i want to choose the battle myself. i don't want to enter randomly. this will only make that as soon I do my daily mission i quit the game.

Developers dont have any work to do, They bringing these lame changes to show the boss that they are working very hard work for Tanki Online game to pull the monthly salary.

Short Version: I do not like this!

And following the chat, most people do not like this matchmaking system.

The one big reason: The players are loosing many choices they had before!


Examples:

- If I had a mission to capture flags: I was choosing small ctf maps, which made my chance bigger to complete the mission faster.
I cannot choose smaller maps anymore.

- If I liked the teams or players on a map, I could just stay on that map for the next round.
I cannot choose to stay on a map with same players anymore (In the mode where I can get points and crystals)

- Generally: I could choose the maps I liked to play on.
Now I cannot choose maps anymore (As long as I want to advance in the game and make points and crystals)

- I could choose a setup (hull, turret, etc) and then go to maps for which this setup is good.
I cannot do this anymore (as long as I want to make points and crystals).
Even if I change equipment in the game when already on a map....next round brings me to another map and I have to change all over again.

- I could choose maps where the round was just beginning, or almost finished. Both has good reasons sometimes.
Now I cannot choose that anymore.

If I have to wait 2 minutes to get on a map and then the round is just about to finish, this can be really annoying!


There are many many more examples, but they all come down to same annoying thing (in my opinion):

As a player, I loose many choices I had before. I loose control over many aspects of the game. I loose many tactical choices.

It takes much longer to fulfill missions, as I cannot choose maps according to what my mission asks from me.


I just cannot choose anymore!

Choice is what makes a game and tactics diverse. We players just lost a lot of choices!



Well, and if the whole thing is about making more money:
I did spend some money in this game. I would have even spent more in the future.

But if this matchmaking system stays in place, I will choose other games and completely quit this one.
No money from me anymore, because so many cool choices in this game have been taken away from me.


I will do other things now for the time of the tests going on, and when I come back after the test and the matchmaking system is still in place.......then BYE BYE (and bye bye my money for you).


It is totally understandable that a company wants to make profit. I will pay money in games in future, but only in games that are fun to play and give me choices.
No choices, lame game! No players after not too long...

Please think about this. Think about giving the players fun choices to keep the game interesting.

I hope this makes sense to the developers and the decision-makes in the company.


Very sad about this test.

As a fluent English speaker, I'm triggered by the spelling Tanki Online have implemented with this Matchmaking System.

The last I remembered we spelt it as ' Average* ', not Avarage

As I said earlier. MM system is a system many games already have. Press a button and play anything, be surprised. Without the system, it's harder to find regular good battles. Most regular battles would be dull and rarely full. Now, all regular battles are full. Missions can still easily be accomplished in them. I completed two of mine within the first hour.

 

 

Like I said above:

 

"The high-low rank issue should be fixed. I don't think the devs intended for that to happen. Having WOs play with Legends isn't the best idea."

 

 well well well even with you playing the system before it was great and now a  change of heart, I guess a day is not enough time to give opinions or is it ?  .. yea battles with mixed players ranks is not fair for anyone ,but the higher ranks . why battle when it takes less then 15 min to get your missions done for higher ranks .even thou we always could do most missions with in a single battle, this never changed.

 

for the creating a battle we always had this before they removed it from players . over all kill this system the minority of players have spoken and what I see in most post are dislikes . very little have said they like it . for me like I said before I have no use using it , when I could just battle in regular games . not sure why they created a system when we did have this in the past bit's and bite's of it ..

I don't know it is your bad carma or your greed but every update is worse than previous.All numbers show this and you are the only one that can't see it.How in the earth you can be thrown in a battle from nowhere??? First of all this battles you end up in are already half way past (or more) , which means that other players already left them (guess the reason) which will result in losing and low crystals gain( and lowering your effectiveness- new calculating formula bye the way is terrible it is pay to be good).Second you are thrown in the battle where there are players with five rank above yours - your decision for wider rank brackets when creating battle . For DM battles is even worse because of the crystals distribution.All players in tanki are not here to have hard competition ,some of them (read most of them) are here to relax and choose what they will play and have fun.

While I'm writing to write something about overdrive.That update by my opinion was very bad one also, because when one team loses one or two players it gets really uneven (much more that it would be without overdrive),  other team with numerical advantage obviously has more players and even gets faster charging overdrive (making more kills ....) which makes them even more stronger.This situation is almost always irreversible and battle is over (and here am talking about normal players not PRO players). With the over drive you made the game too much team game and there are a lot of lonely wolfs out there.
