I absolutely hate it.

As an M1-M2 player I am now supposed to fight M8 players? 

On playgrounds with 20 or more foes, getting 2-3 on me all the time?

No way to chosse the scene and number of players...

No way to know the mission, that is now a surprise

 

No, all the fun is gone.

 

The find me a quick game is a nice thought, but now I instead have to wait long time to get a crap game 

 

If could instad FIX the matching bug mixing highlevels with low/nolevels, THAT would be nice...

Guys guys guys gals: This is a TEST. Problems SHOULD be fixed before it is implemented in a few months. Now, we will probably disagree with each other and the devs on what a "problem" and a "solution" is, but I doubt the devs are so stupid as to just wholesale adopt Iteration 1. And this test is probably Iteration 5, and It.7 will end up being adopted.

I just built myself a classic VW Beetle with a 3.5L V8 Turbocharger and need it tested on Frontal impact safety. I know it does not have matching brakes, tires, frame rigidity nor modern safety belt but hey, it's JUST A TEST!

 

Bozo88, would you be so kind to drive it into a conrete wall @ 180 km/h and ooh, I forgot to mention, you have to bring your own bicycle helmet.

I do not have the adminstration power to check for your other accounts; the few things I wrote I concluded from your profile.

 

10 ranks plus is really crap. The rank ranges were a mess in the time before the matchmaking, but it was necessary for the unfamous battle button. But back then the player could at least avoid it (once they were experieced enough to read ranks). Maybe I can take a midranked alt to play it tomorrow, because in all battles I played now I did not face that issue.

Maybe their setting that decides what is favoured - waiting time-vs-rankMatch - needs tuning.. because if I think it through technically, a system that collects players from all over the servers should be able to give you a much better match then the battle button could (it was limited to the single server).

 

I've seen that this issue is already in the report.. so they won't miss it.

ho hum....you don't give up do you? Still trying to defend it.....haven't you noticed it's about 50 to against this update, maybe even more. You and bozo (who, it seems, either works for tanki or has escaped from somewhere) need to except that you are WRONG WRONG WRONG, and this update is pants and belongs in the dustbin of history. By the way the reason I'm posting SO SO much is because I CAN'T PLAY THE GAME AT THE MOMENT - ITS NOT A GAME THAT PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY AS IT IS NOW - isn't that just a little clue how angry I am with this idiocy - not to mention frustrated with your recalcitrance!

IDK if you're exaggerating, but there is no m8. And m2 can fight m4 if they are playing fair and not tweaking that meth.

I highly highly highly doubt you saw a Sarge (<50Kexp) fighting a Marshal (~1mil exp). Either you got the ranks wrong or you're smokin that herb. Pics or it didn't happen.

I am not a commie and I live in the USA, BOZO! and yes I will insult you because you are just as dumb and arrogant as the tanki developers.  To show you how dumb you are, you are asking me fro a link to my post and you already have quoted it with the snark comment "see a shrink before you explode". I will not explode and I do not need a shrink just because I gave a very comprehensive feedback on a very bad update.  To show also how dumb you are you are doubting someone and they shut you up pretty good with a picture! So, you like this atrocity and an overwhelming majority is against it. Deal with it! The fact remains that Tanki, in the 2 years that I have been playing, managed to decrease the players to 30,000 max per day while it used to be over 70,000! Now they do not reach that number even on a holiday with some insane sales! Pretty soon it will be left the likes of you and the developers to play the game because the rest of us will move on since our choices are been taken away. Is it hard to understand the concept of "freedom of choice"?

Please dont let the matchmaking system test run the full 48 hours.  We dont need 24 more hours to tell you its terrible.  In theory, it seemed like a good idea.  In actuality, its horrible.  I have a harder time now getting into competitive battles that are fun to play than before.  And I havent been able to figure out how to play with my clan members or other friends.

Don't like this update, have to wait too long to get into battles, harder to find maps you like, you create battles but no one joins, still lags, and what's taking so long with the hull overdrives? It's been about a month, they should at least tell us which hull is getting which ablility.

Having no control over what map you are entering, is not acceptable. And frankly, its an amateurish move on Tanki's part to even be trying to implement this.

Developers?   Yoo hoo!!!  Can you say, "undesirable effect" when a vast majority of players are saying it sucks, isn't that undesirable?  I'm sure it was a cool programming project to implement this stinking pile of donkey dung, but don't fall in love with your code.  Trash this one.  Make the right decision and end the test early!  Thanks!

Having directed developers for over 25 years, I can tell you that to a developer "undesirable effect" means the server crashed. Anything else is irrelevant! For example, the previous update introduced a major "undesirable effect" for all the players in the form of increased lag. To tanki programmers though that was not the case since they have done nothing to fix it.  See, what I mean?

I tried the new version today, I really don't like it!! I found no way of choosing a battle scenario I like to play. Instead the server directed me to a random battle which I don't want to play. Choosing another EU after another one... there are only stared battles. Please Tanki Team! Make the test way shorter as 48 hours, more likely 8-12 hours perhaps. As you guys said at the news letter *Matchmaking Test*: Developers might decide to end the test earlier if it causes any kind of undesirable effect on the game.

 

It causes undesirable effects to my mood :huh:

Terrible. 

 

Always put onto a losing team, (and losing badly since everyone else has left)

 

Cant see what map you are playing. I choose different turrets depending on which map I am playing. Now I have to wait till the battle, then change in the garage. Lame.

 

Playing with people waaay above my rank. I dont mind 3 or 4 ranks higher but it is a joke to play a team of M3 tanks.

 

The changes to the maps, meh. Some decent some really bad. Why take away the hiding spots in highways? Just to give the Shaft players even more of an advantage I guess. 

 

I wont even get into the differences in the turrets, the M2 and M3 twins is a joke, and it needs to have some downside to it to even out the OP. 

 

I have been playing for a while, I have 5 accounts and been buying on them all. Keep this supposed balancing deal and Ill have to find some other game to spend my money on. 

 

Once again, terrible. just plain terrible.

So it seems to collect simmilar ranks already.. but the distribution over the teams needs improvement.

If you take half of the red team and replace it by half if the blue team, the balance would be done.

Having Teams balanced by rank is definitely important.

 

However, if the Commanders are in same battle as Legend 20's then individually the Commanders will struggle, and thus score less.

They will get a pittance of a reward as a result.

How is that a good experience?

 

Rank-ranges need to be decreased and they need to treat each Legend # as a rank. Legend 20 is 19 effective ranks above Legend 1.

I just logged in with 2 accounts at the same time; one and one .

Then I clicked to join a TDM battle, to see what happen.

 

I noticed that the amount of players in the queue is the same for both accounts of mine, so obviously this is the queue of all players online and waiting at the time beeing. The number was about 280, so if I assume a flat distribution over the ranks, this means that less then 3 tankers per rank were online.

After a minute (longest time I've waited today) the generalissimo account found a battle, the rank rank bracked was 4 ranks wide, but one team had almost all the legends, while the other one had mostly all the sub-legend ranks. Same thing as DarkStorm posted before.

I left, as I just wanted to check the time.

A minute later, the mid-ranked account has still not found a battle.

 

It seems to me that the midranks have way more issues to queue into a rare battle mode (like TDM) if they need it for a mission, then high ranked players do.

It would have helped already if the system would have placed a 5vs5 TDM in a midsize map in this case (just to let them play, instad of wait forever).

 

anyways.. time for bed.

:angry: The Server Test is terrible and put it back the way it was before please the waiting itself is a nightmare enough

just give us our freedom of choice", what game of map we're all  like to play instead of controlled control by the main host. There's no fun anymore into this game, otherwise everyone will start leaving this game and I am one of them to leave this game is just like a nightmare...

definitely agreed.

 

Those high ranked legends should count at least +0.2 per rank (so a gismo is rank 30, a legend1 is rank 31, a legend2..legend6 are treated like a rank 32, and so on). Maybe +0.1 from legend 10 on.

Done like that there will be the necessary difference for the matching, and on the other hand a Legend20 player will not be forever alone.

 

 

And I would like to see a unified battle list for the custom battles.

So whereever server I am, I can see all battles that are open for my rank, in one view. There is no fun in moving through out all servers until you find one..
