This is by far the worst update that I have ever seen. There are many reasons why this update does not improve the tanki playing experience, which I will list below.

 

The main reason is that when I join a battle, I don't want to wait. I want to join a battle immediately and start playing, and it's very frustrating to sit in front of the loading screen waiting to join a battle. Additionally it's very frustrating to join a battle and just end up on the losing team because someone left that battle. Leaving the battle will only result in a similar experience for someone else.

 

Another bad part about the new match making system is the inability to choose what map you're playing on. Many players have different play styles and they prefer some maps more than others, and lower ranks also don't have access to as many hulls and turrets as higher ranks. This makes some lower ranked players effectively useless in larger maps if they only have short range guns. The same applies for protection modules, players choose which modules they buy carefully so that they can be effective in the types of battles they prefer. When placed in a new map that they are not used to, many players become useless.

 

An annoying part of the new system is the inability to see missions within battles. When I joined a battle and forgot what my missions were, and I didn't want to leave because I would loose my battle fund. 

 

The way the custom battles are hidden away, it's almost as if players are being discouraged from creating their own battles and fighting each other the old way. This is annoying for players that prefer a more balanced format without drugs, or specific battles with their friends. 

 

Overall the new match making system is in definite need of improvement, however ideally it wouldn't be implemented at all. The new system ruins the ability to specialize and develop your own strategies for specific battles using specific hulls and turrets and modules.

Well Tanki Developers you have done it again! I guess this idea came up after the Stolichnaya vodka was delivered and the krokodil dealer left. You would have to be on drugs and alcohol to even think this was good idea. Having to wait for a battle is bad enough but when you do get in you are totally out ranked and under powered to survive against other tankers on a map you aren't familiar with. 20 minutes to get 5 double armor boxes just to keep my chain going and a sizable drop in my K/D ratio that I have worked so hard at to improve. So Tanki I'm giving you 3 guesses to the international peace sign I am giving you right now and your'e first 2 guesses don't count. Peace I'm out.  :angry:  :angry:  :angry:

Was it so hard to say it so ? And no people choice is always Rio and polygons, maybe they should have only those 2 in the matchmaking, like this nobody will notice anything.

So yes, i play tanki for its variety of maps, good map never played because you are lazy and afraid of change.

Which lag? Didn' t get any. Maybe ask your parents for a better connection.

So no need to improve it for me, sorry. Beside for those who experience lag it is always reduce short after, so you request will be fullfilled anyway.

So what other dumb stuff I said?

First of all, I am an adult old enough to be your father probably with a high six figure income and I play tanki for several reasons that I am not going to discuss here. Second I run a pc with 16 MB RAM, dual quad core Xeon processors and a discrete NVIDIA graphics card with 2 Mb memory on an HP Z workstation.  I play on the majority of the maps but I tend to avoid the short ones and I certainly despise Polygon and Sandbox.  I play Lost Temple, Kungur, Solikamsk, Sepruhov, Brest and such. I am not afraid of change and I am not lazy.  Lazy is to be dumped in a random battle not to take your time and find the right one! The dumbest thing you said is that "other games do not give you a choice".  Well, again you do you want to be just like the "other games"? Then why should I be playing tanki if it is "just like other games"?  I might as well play them and not to have to deal with people like you.

Which lag? Where have you been? under a rock? just read the comments if you can comprehend them!

My connection is 125 Mb/s down and 12 Mb/s up with a latency of 8 ms - 20 ms. Is this fast enough to play tanki?

5k players vanished today . max is 35k players today. if in 2014 were 120k players, then in 2018 there will remain only buyers?

 i dont know how about the others, but from my point of view the new matching system is horrible, horrible and one more time just horrible. Always waiting and still sending me to a maps that i dont wanna play on. After the isida update, this is the same - change for bad, dont like it that all. Somebody should realize, that most of players mostly use just a few weapons, and each weapon suits only some maps. I like playing with firebird, before you made that  update i used to play with isida. But if the system sends me with me firewibr to Highways or Lost temple, its about nothing and i leave rightaway. And i dont wanna wait minutes till i get somewhere else, where finally i dont wanna be. Please, stop doing changes like that, it should be fun, now it sucks...

That's how it always turns out. That's also why they removed the dislike button from here several years ago because the dislikes were quite overwhelming compared to likes.

 

Over at the Tanki X forums your posts get deleted and account gets banned if you dislike the updates. The admins and helpers there are very hostile towards players who don't pour praise on all the updates.

This thing keeps hanging while loading. I have to restart it most of the time when I have left a battle and want to join a new battle. Using the tanki client on Win 10.

Cedric knew Tanki was going to die because of this update, that's why he's with World of Tanks now. Why don't we all follow his example?

Just realize the reasons behind this Matchmaking idea:

 - Tankionline is doing it best to discourage people from spending endless hours on playing silly games.

 - Tankionline is encourage us to spend our time on more productive activities.  Like spend time with family.

 - Most important, Tankionline would like to discourage its users from spending real money on silly things like paint.

 

I would like to thank Tankionline for this social services.

So, everyone, you should  spend time with your family.  Spend that $10 to treat someone with an ice cream cone.  

Since there are over 240+ people in queue in every battle types.  I am taking my dog for a walk now.

  This update would be great for the game, also it would be better to have the option to create and name you're own battles when playing with friends. If its possible to have have a quick battle option and be able to see all the battles unlike pro battles only.

while i do agree that recruits shouldn't have to fight legends... I really don't understand what these people with multiple golden stars are complaining about! like--didn't these people already start fighting legends at captain or major like i did? before matchmaking at colonel or my rank more than half the battles on the list already had field marshals, commanders or generalissimos... and is there any difference between anyone from marshal to legend 99999? all m3s already unlock at marshal(or major general for buyers or people who manage their crystals well, and of course brigader for tournamant winners)

It takes me 2 to 3 minutes to join a game. Disconnects me from agame in less than 30 secs. Have no server choice. Cannot pick  agame that suits my style or config. If this battle system remains I will NOT.

It's a cool concept, but it does't work in its current format. It takes a minute to a minute and a half to get in a game, the others (Other Team) have already acquired positioning for battle so your a sitting duck. It would be nice if games could be matched by effectiveness of players so that a game cannot be raided by players solely looking to steal that games battle fund from the winning team which I have seen happen all to often. If this could be done under the old format where you pick your game I think most would be happy except for those that like to steal battle funds. Just my two cents.
