OMG the test is still going on! {Gasp.} 

 

I bet TO comes out and says that it was a resounding success. And that with only a few minor tweaks, it'll be even better!   :rolleyes:

I dont like the new system AT ALL!!!

I can not control on wich map I play.

I can not control wich whom I play (e.g. which of my friends).

And the battles I played were very bad.

I fled the server after 3 bad battles and think about quitting the game entirely.

It's a total blast. I hope you will end this soon.

Improvements

 

1. bring back mission indicator in toolbar

2. Automatically enter us in queue when battle ends

3. set rank brackets in stone. That should solve your variable error.

4. minor tweaks

 

Then RETEST before implementing.

This seems to cause constant lag, even though I have a top-of-the-line PC.  And the system itself has proven to be useless, by taking forever to find a match, and then dropping me into a random map with incredibly unfair teams.  Between my father (52 yrs old) and I (22 yrs old), we have 6 accounts and will likely stop playing if this new system is to become permanent.

I am really disappointed in this update.  The player now has no choice of map, no choice of rank to play with, and cannot play with his friends.  It is almost as if the Tanki devs want to drive away their customers.   If this update becomes permanent, I and the 14 other friends and family that play this game will migrate to another tank game.  There are many out there.  I loved the old Tanki, but I won't mind at all leaving the new and "improved" Tanki.

This system needs a lot of work, it took me 5 minutes to get into a battle, and when I did, i was playing with people who were 11 ranks higher than me. These people were playing with all M2 equipment compared to my all M0 equipment.

This system will not work with this game unless it is improved A LOT.

Outside of GuidoFawkes and the aptly named BOZO the clown, EVERYONE HATES THIS.

 

Please let us choose (even create!) battles to our liking.  Yes, we can, but they don't count, so to get missions done (the only efficient way of getting supplies and crystals) we're stuck with no choice over map, players, teams, ranks... Hey, why don't you randomly assemble our tank from whatever is in our garage in the next update?  That would be GREAT!!  Then you will have almost fully perfected tanki automation.  After that, you can dispense with the stupid players altogether -- in fact, you may be well on your way to doing that already.

i dislike it badly because you cant see what your joining asin maps and games with winning or losing teams you can even see you missions during games plus the lag is legit real my grandma walks faster than the lag and thirdly the list of battles should always be available to view ...in my opinion this is a bad idea

Personally, I think this update is trash. Tankers can no longer check their missions in-combat, and are forced to leave at the end of the battle. Today, I had a mission to capture 10 points. When I finished, I had no idea that I was done. When I went back to the lobby, there isn't even a notification that your mission has been completed. Also, the servers glitch a lot. I know that's what a test is for, but user JFFM just showed me a completed battle with mostly Legends playing, and there was a Recruit in the battle as well. It glitched for me, too. I joined a battle and realized that I was four ranks higher than the next highest ranked person. Also, the update is super laggy. I joined my first battle with this new update and missed a double-gold because my fps was sitting at three.

I don't care if I put this harshly, it's my honest opinion. The update sucks, and I'm not the only one that feels this way.

Day 2 feedback:

 

I did okay today, I only did 1 Mission in each of my 2 accounts because I got difficult Missions, they need to remove Finish 1st Missions, Flag Missions and Crystal Missions. People are blocking and flipping you for flags.

 

I did okay mostly because I was careful in deciding which battles to leave and in which to stay, and the rank thing.

 

Then with my practice account I got 2 even battles, it was hard but we won, finished 1st in both, 1 with Rico and 1 with Isida.

 

in one battle I was sent to one where my team was losing 8-1, I left and tried again and the system sent me to the same battle but the opposing team, this time it was 9-1 and about to end. There is a lot to done about that.

 

Many here are complaining, but many others are playing, most of them with the Battle Lists. 

 

The thing I don't like the most about this test is Overdrive and Repair Kit, the RK should be the same for all, maybe a flat 2000HP. I know these are not part of the test. ;p

Steady decline of players in Tanki Online....

Early 2015 = Over 100,000 online

Mid 2016 = 60,000

Mid 2017 = 30,000

Day 2  Worse...much worse

 

 

I had one five minute wait to join a game, the screen started to change, stopped, and I went back into the queue for another 2 1/2 minute wait.  In the middle of that game, the lag was so bad it couldn't be played...it crashed and back to the queue.  When I did finally join a battle where I could move and shoot, I was on the losing side.  Variations of this repeated five or six times.  Each game I was on the losing side in CTF.  I never placed less than fourth place in any game and 1st place in one game (losing side).  For an hour and ten minutes of absolute frustration, I made 760 crystals and completed my one mission of 1000xp in CTF...more than an HOUR!

 

The rewards system is completely unbalanced...the bottom players were getting like 3 and 5 crystals and were in the entire game.  One game the top three guys on the winning side got over 1100 crystals.  The entire losing team got less than 210 crystals combined!  The score was not a super slaughter with a score of 5 to 2.  I capped one of the flag, killed 14 tanks. died 11 times and was driving Isida so healed countless teammates.  I came in third place of the losing side and received 61 crystals.  This is so frustrating!

 

People want to see something for their time...reward for effort. I won't continue to be a loser like this, I don't care how many crystals you give me for free at end of the week.  I can get killed over and over by higher ranked players, but I can't stand the long waits just to be rewarded with a pittance for my efforts.

 

 Again, I logout of Tanki angry and frustrated. If MM was not finished tomorrow, this would be my last day of playing Tanki on a regular basis. I'd log in now and then, do a mission or two, a battle here and there, but I wouldn't bother with keeping up with the daily mission chain which means I would be in the game only a tiny fraction of what I used to play and a small part of what I play now.  I would bet I am far from alone in this.

@Yisroel.RabinI don't care about " Collecting boxes". I care about the simplicity of entering battles and choosing which ones you want to enter. Not have the game choose the battle for you. It's stupid. And about " staying up to date" tanki should stop trying to be like other games. Maybe if they focused on Esports, fixing how 90% of the game is full of hackers, and other important issues, they would get a following like those other games. I have no clue how you enjoy this update if you have to wait 10 minutes to join a battle. Waiting 10 minutes doesn't seem easier to " find a battle". Like it was before I could join any battle i'd like in less than 20 seconds. I've played this game for 4 years or so and it has never seemed difficult at all to " find a battle". I'll disagree with you in all aspects you just mentioned.  As far as my opinion, this update is a waste of time and shouldn't be implemented unless it is highly changed.

You had to know within six hours that the test was a bust, yet it continues.

 

You had to know the fairness of the matchmaking algorithm wasn't ready for open servers, yet you deployed, and then didn't take it down as the negative comments started rolling in.

 

The old rule is, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

 

And, if it is broke, fix it. Y'all been "fixin" the stuff that worked and bustin or replacin everything else with things that nobody even recognizes.

 

Massacre map? Geez! Totally lost the point.

 

Highlander? Yeah, there can be only one! What is that substitute? Absolutely different concept for that map versus the old Highland. (BTW, maps in MM battles are altered. Created "pro" maps are the same as old.)

 

I assume you had too many reports of too much vodka and too many tankers not being able to negotiate the tight turns in some of the maps, so you widened everything so the sorry drivers could still get around. If you want to sip the sauce and battle tanks, go for it, but know you are going to have problems driving. Don't make the maps easier for them!

 

Seriously, why? Why change the maps for a test of something totally unrelated?

 

Also, lag is not caused by lots of tanks on the map. It is caused by lots of lines of sight on the map.

 

For example, Berlin was always the problem map, not because it was big, but because it was open! Shafts could see almost everywhere from almost anywhere. Those lines of sight have to be tracked and calculated so the shaft can see what he's looking at wherever, whenever, he decides to look. (And everyone else. It isn't specific to shaft.) Düsseldorf could be full with more players than Berlin and rarely have lag problems because most tanks only had a few lines of sight at any given moment. The obstacles block view, and few lines of sight need tracked.

 

These altered, more open, maps have more lines of sight to track, and many people are noticing the extra lag and glitchiness.

 

I had such high hopes. You dashed them. Now I lost my give-a-damn. It broke off, and I don't care to even find it.

 

I am long suffering. I'll stick it out a while, but these comments have been running about 99% negative. There have been some thorough, and thoughtful comments. Hopefully you take them to heart. Mostly, I hope you don't pretend the test was a success. I hope you don't report it was popular. 

 

Honestly, except for proving the fairness-balance algorithm isn't as good as casting lots, this test shows nothing. The map differences will surely get mixed reviews. However, the altered maps blew your test from the moment of deployment. You simply have too many variables to tell what might matter.

 

From the looks of the comments, you really used up your grace.

 

Another observation of the comments, the overdrive mess drew lots of negative comments and suggestions for change from very longterm players. Those players seem to have given up on commenting, or left.

 

This time, I note comments from many high-ranking players with very few forum comments. That means these folks played and didn't complain. This test has them complaining now.

 

The test was bad. You should have stopped it by at least noon-UTC. The only useful information from it was that the matching algorithm doesn't work yet. You knew that within a few hours.

I definitely do not like this system AT ALL.

I like to have the freedom to chose the battles and servers I like to be/play at. MISSIONS  were dictating which missions I had to play at already!!.

I do have my favorite maps to play at, as well. (return back to the system so we can  create battles, where we could chose which map we were willing to play at)

I do like to know the progress I am doing at my missions, WHILE I AM AT BATTLE.

I do like to chose wisely, which team I will be part of or fight against.

I HATE not being able to continue battling at the same battle I am already at, return the CONTINUE button.
