So why are the legends to powerful? Is it because they are more likely to have a suite of m4s instead of m3.5s? Or do they get special missions which give them loads of drugs? I'm beginning to think that perhaps M4 needs to be its own level, just with no MUing after it, so no M4.1-M5s. Then ditch the rank system for an equipment system.

TX has it easier, because you can't change equipment mid-battle. So if I had my M2 Hunter and M2 Rico, I would be sent to a M2 battle, whether its a W5 with a m2 or a Legend with a M2, and if I equipped my m0 twins and hornet, I could play with other m0s, from recruit to Marshals who never bothered to buy upgraded equipment they dislike.

The trouble with legends, aside from IMHO they're generally a bunch of bone heads, is a lot of them are OLD... so they largely have a full suite of turrets, and protections.  I'm guessing a lot of them also know each other to some degree.  So its a bit like the rank amateur side going up against the All stars pro side.

 

Having said that, there are already different Legend ranks so it should be feasible to change that around.  I can copy with a fresh newly made Legend they are no different to a Gizmo.  But the rest need a  battle of their own.

The Worst Update Yet - "Match Making System" You Developers And Moderators Should Be Ashamed Of Yourselves !!! And You Better Remove This Update As Soon As Possible Or You Will Lose At least 80% Of Players From The Game ...

The Only Way You Can Save This Game Now Is That You Restore Tanki Online 2013 And Release Some Good Updates That Does Not Waste Peoples Money And Time. Because This Game Was Way Better Back Then, But Now It's Unplayable And Too Unfair. This Is Not Me Just Saying, 80% Players In The Game Would Agree With This Opinion.

You Better Either Make This Game Playable And Fair Or Either Stop This Game For Good Without Wasting Peoples Money And Time.

Tanki Online give this guy a freaking medal

Well it's all swings and roundabouts then isn't it because I was quoted 58s for a battle but waited only a couple of seconds before joining.

The "average" wait time is a sick joke.  In dozens of trials I have entered in less than the average precisely ONCE.  Usually it takes 2-4 times the listed "average".

So here's what I think after playing for a day.

 

1. The group idea isn't too bad, but needs to be more advanced and have more customization.

 

 

2. The battle options are just bad. I'm sorry but as of right now they are. It needs to be updated with filters where you can choose the maps you would like to play on, and the maximum rank of player that you want to play against.That way there are not too many imbalances in rank, and if not choosing the actual map you want, you have some random selections to work with.

 

 

3. The Missions button should go back where it was. Or at least have the star back in it's place when you're in a battle. It's hard to keep track of your progress on missions when you can't pull up the info inside the match.

 

 

4. The Battle list is alright, maybe a non-pro list can be added as well like before in addition to the matchmaking

system we have now. It's nice to browse what battles are available, and if the idea of filtering your options in the battle system is added, then I could really get into having my preferences locked in and having the game do the searching.

   

For example. If I wanted a specific battle, I would click one of the buttons ( CTF, CP, DM ) that would

open a window where I could then adjust the max and min rank of players in the game, (maybe like the slider for creating matches) and then select types of maps I would like, say...Sandal, Sandbox, Serpuhov, and Bridges.

Then I could confirm the options and it would then bring up the waiting page it has now, and now the game will try to find one of these maps with the rank constraints. As it is now, I have no idea what equipment to use in a battle if I don't know what map I'm playing.

 

 

I think those are all my thoughts on the update. Keep it going.

I don't like it.

  1. it takes too long to find a game to play in
  2. i'm thrown into games that have only a few minutes left to play in
  3. i never know what map i'm going into and i end up losing valuable time to change to my weapon of choice

i like to choose my own map that way i can prep my tank with the proper weapon

I'm starting to suspect the hiding of mission status during battle was absolutely intentional.

 

Because it gives players one less reason to leave battle.

 

I'm guilty of this myself. Sometimes if that mission red light comes on, I just leave. Tanki looks and says "we do not like this"

No need to be that harsh. I'm surprised that a mod didn't edit that. Anyway, it is nice we don't need pro pass to create battles- after I complete a mission I unwind and play 200 point Polygon CP

It's their fault they shouldn't have made completing mission a pain, greedy Fs

Legends have a lot more "disposable income". They have paid off the mortage (bought a few m3 combos) and paid for the car (bought a few Protection Modules).

 

Now every crystal they get can be used for...

buying more M3s to have greater variety in choice for battles - u have a protection module? they switch weapons.

buying more protection modules - eventually have ALL weapons covered through many different combos

upgrading all of the above - so turrets and hulls become m4 and modules are 50% protection = permanent DA.

and yes - they have basically unlimited supplies - so spamming an RK every time they get damaged is no problem.

 

They kill faster and are much harder to kill.

Its a test, the rank thing is a known bad-idea to torture the software. If it is in the final implementation, I will be quite angry.

 

 

The test ends in a few hours.

 

 

 

 

When I played on TX for a short while I found the player level to be OK, I assume the devs have the number of active accounts at each rank, so they know whether or not anyone has company or is trundling around alone.

 

 

Dante! Nice to see you again. I remember you from last month and the month before that, when you were still a Warrant Officer. According to your profile, you haven't played the game for over a week. I'm gonna play nice and assume you have a higher account (which means you are being deceptive), else I feel your post to be very very hypocritical. :angry: For someone who is as active as you are, I'm sure you would have seen my posts regarding my experiences yesterday and today with MM.

Thanks TO for breaking my mission chain b\c I can't get into any battles or stay in them long enough to complete, or b\c I get thrown into a game with people who are in an entire M-class ahead of me where I can't compete.
