I just have one thing to say, if this update sticks, you probably won't stop playing the game.

If you don't know, why would you assume? :mellow: I didn't get your account banned.

 

Well all partook in this test since we were not given a choice to not participate. I made an extensive post why I called this an abomination. And it is an abomination because it takes away our ability to choose which battles to join, who to play against, how long to play, which map to play on, and many more. Since you do not seem to understand this, there is no point of trying even to have a discussion.  The overwhelming majority did not like it and our only recourse is to stoop in to strong name calling in hopes that someone will get the picture. It seems that the player community does not have any say on the features and options and we are force-fed changes that no one asked for or liked but they were the brainchild of some self proclaimed "head game designer". Get it?

Of course I don't want anyone to quit, but sometimes I want to ask people to prove to me they can, because I always see people say they'll quit if "xxx" happens, and then they don't.

Please improve MatchMaking System and Bring it Back

 

the battle above just started, and i was the 1st in the battle, and i was trying to get some kills in the battle, 
​now all legend go to opposite team and i end-up playing with m3,m2 players,

now U tell me is it fair battle??

 

i really like matchmaking as it give the ability for both teams to start at the same time,

yes i do agree, it was a testing period , and i wish it will be improved and bring it back.

There has been enough complaints in this topic about MM, moreso in the RU forum.

It really sounds like the devs need to go back to the drawing board.

 

It's a bit ironic. Tanki bring out Daily Missions and Weekly Chains in order to reward regular attendance but then plan on negating those things with a Match-making system that switches the majority off playing.

 

It sounds like a formula-based incentives system is needed. One that isn't so easy to bypass, where rewards are available to be claimed once a week for meeting certain criteria on each format.

 

Players will always look for an easier way to complete these things so if you make it more difficult to circumnavigate and easier to complete simply by regular playing, you will then achieve the goal of getting players online with maps filled.

 

Consider a points system where so many points are available in a day and therefore there is a maximum you can achieve in a week.

Split that into 5 reward brackets that will determine your weekly gift.

 

Criteria could include;

Flags captured

Crystals earned

Experience earned

Points captured

Enemies killed

Finishing 1st

Finishing 2nd

etc

 

Do this with a twist - mission points only available if the battle is over x% full to encourage players to play in fuller battles.

 

Oh, and do away with collecting drop boxes including golds as these encourage undesirable behaviour.

 

Back to the drawing board, seriously!

Some sugestions

  • This should be the rank Bracket for legends > 4TmQbOguQweVEZD8gRpkfQ.png
  • Funds should be distributed fairly among players
  • We should be able to see Mission Progress in battle(s)
  • Battle duration should be 15 minutes

This system is so broken, peoples K/D gets ruined because of this update, supplies wasted to try and compete with legend drugger... Its just pointless.

And the worst part is we cant play normal battles.

This is not good updates. Legends and recruits fight in same battles.

Semyon clearly mentioned in the video that this testing of Match-making was only to see how the server handles the load, NOT the rank brackets, timings and other values.

 

Hating on updates without knowing what they are or seeing/reading official announcement topics is nothing but ignorance.

Okay, the servers handle the load somewhat fine at times, somewhat badly other times. Sometimes I'll get there just fine, sometimes I won't be able to enter a battle through the matchmaking system. Probably the developers have more data, so any more feedback is unnecessary. Let's just pretend that for the rest the system is completely fine, and hope that developers will either decide to make another test and this time actually want our feedback on issues such as maps, timing, teams, reward, and so on, or that they'll somehow figure out all these things by themselves before they release the matchmaking system.

Hey everyone.

 

I understand that many of you were unhappy with this test. But please, I need you to understand that this was A TEST. We wanted to see how the system would work under a proper server load. THAT is how you find flaws in a system — you stress-test it.

 

While there were many things that you disliked about the testing version, I'm sure you all agree that there are some redeemable merits to the system — things that, if tweaked and properly executed, would ultimately benefit the game and player base. And that's what we'll be doing in the coming weeks. We'll be analyzing the data that we've collected, reviewing your feedback, and improving the system to make it what it should be.

 

Remember how we had DM tournaments last year and we pulled the plug on those because most users (and us too) weren't satisfied? We're trying to get things right. But you need to give us the chance to do that. There will be more tests, and they might still contain things that you do not like, but hopefully they will contain more things that you DO like.

 

Just give the devs the time to work on it. We'll see what comes out of it.

I have a hunch you thought that about the 20,000 or so players that have stopped playing Tanki this year.   :)

Players leave all the time, the difference is in previous years Tanki advertised and would bring in new players to replace those who left. This isn't the case anymore.

the 1st day the match system was a mess an player base ranks were every where recruit to legend it didnt make sense the 2nd day is mush better but still pitting m0 to m2 isnt fare to the players it should be m0 faces m0 m1 faces m1 an so on making mo face m4 in my view drives us away an thats not good at all but the maps were amazingly fun its too bad that we werent ablre to create parkour on the new maps to at least check them out since drops an all were changed it made it tough just to get your bearing when being spawn killed

Cedric, will this update come back again, with some good features?

Read Cedric's post above. He said that there will be more tests of this system until they make it as good as it can possibly be. So yes, it will come back again and its features will be improved.
