Testing of Matchmaking System on EU servers

My recommendation is to drop the matchmaking system update and instead provide a unified list of games across all servers that meet the players' criteria.  A simple search where you can choose format, game type, map size, minimum and maximum ranks.  Allow players to save these search criteria to allow them to re-run them in the future.  This is comparatively simple as opposed to developing a balanced matchmaking system.
 

This is what I have been asking for for a few years.

 

I am sorry if this is harsh, but I am afraid that TO does not have the prowess to pull the matchmaking system off. It will end up ruining the game completely kind of like it ruined the CP scoring system. A CP 50 score game can end in a few minutes or a few hours. There is no saying when it may end. Can you guys at least make the score advance only forward? Have the losing team jump 2 points at a time, but do not keep the score going back and forth like a seesaw.

Anyway, I digress. Please do not put this system in without at least trying it several times and not ending up having new people join the forum just to complain about it. This is a serious thing. Do not keep forcing people do things your way. In the end, they will leave. You are supposed to improve the user experience for players, not for you. Why don't you guys hire someone who will only play the game and have them give you feedback? Don't take the feedback from people who only watch the game or play an hour a year.

well try out tanki X for there match making .. it looks like this system is what we will also be getting which players hate.. due to the fact you have to wait to find a battle , then again wait in the lobby to load and have players join battles . this they say when its good amount of players this waiting time is little but say if you in the non normal time line then you could be waiting a long time for someone to join.. see certain times of the day battles have lots of players but then other times there is less then 10 k and its hard to find games ..

 

also if its like there's this means no more missions we will loose out of these free items..

Guess what, it will. However, battle list will still remain and you will be able to make your own battles for free, without PRO pass. The only catch is that you won't be able to complete missions in those battles. You will still get crystals and EXP.

The thing is, if they do not make pro battles accessable without a proPass, then players that play not so often, will constantly run out of the pro pass while they can not refinance a new pro pass from their income. They also can not focus on missions in their few pro battles they play, as this is not possible.

 

Those players will loose all access to pro battles.

 

So I turely hope they make this "maybe" true, and that pro battles will not need a pro pass any more.

I'm pretty sure the "maybe" was confirmed in the V-log. When matchmaking test was live I could create and play custom battles for free.

Well I think the pro pass will be removed for sure. They said this in the Vlog 138 and I haven't heard of any plan changes in the mean time. It would be really harsh if they take away the missions from the pro battles, keep the pro pass and remove the battle list of normal games...

I checked the vLog and found the confirmation.. and then I went through other vLogs searching for Hazels statement that I have in mind.

I could not find it in the ones I checked. It must have been in a live stream.. but as the last livie stream with Hazel was earlier then the vLog you refered to, I agree that it's confirmend (yepeeeee  !!! :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub: )

Ah I know, you mean this livestream from May and check it from 14:40 on, where he talked about that the pro pass might go. Yep, they announced the decision that it will go at end of June in the Vlog. Tbh, I didn't get Hazel's reasons for the removal, but I understand that the implementation of MM together with the keeping of a pro pass would have upset a lot of tankers.

Fix previous problems before adding new updates.

 

Write scripts to remove mults like this. They'll also be there after matchmaking system, just sitting there and making good players rage and laughing at them. Open test that script.

 

If player's XP is less than 100, as compared to the top three or five team players and player's amount of time in a running battle is longer than 8-10 minutes, the player should be kicked out right away "Your score was too low for being in the battle any longer"

 

The algorithm and conditions can be thought through, that's a developer task.

Next they need to increase the rank up rewards by 3 times to expand the player base.

I think matchmaking system is a bit good, because the merged ranks helps Legends kills faster and easier, and a Negetive point is that the MMS have a weird backgroud that's it for me

Nobody knows that. They said there will be multiple tests before the matchmaking will be introduced permanently. I personally wouldn't expect it to happen before November.

HTML5 is on test server right now. Some people have reported that when they log into the game they get the HTML5 version.

We haven't got any info yet, as they are still working on the matchmaking system. Also, developers are going to have several tests first and once it's ready, we will be informed in this section, so stay tuned and follow this section to keep yourself update. :)
