Testing of Matchmaking System on EU servers

I hate everything about the matchmaking system.

 

I'm not interesting in playing games using it, so going to matchmaking-only for missions means no more missions for me. And since supplies have been devalued, I won't waste more money on buying them, so no-supply pro games will be it for me.

 

I want to do missions on maps of my choosing. Twice I was "matched" against another team of nearly all legends. The lag is unplayable; if the update is the cause of this lag, then it needs to be undone quickly.

 

Oh yeah, I shouldn't have to wait a minute to join a battle.

Again, I did 2 missions in 10 minutes (but within an hour from the SU). Missions for most players who aren't frozen to one combo, should be possible and in a way, easier to complete. For example, what Mission would you get (besides supermissions) that you wouldn't be able to complete within 10 minutes?

I sure hope the devs pay attention. There seem to be many heart-felt, thoughtful comments.

 

As a legend with a fully upgraded set of my chosen equipment, I'm okay there. I never have adequate protection module, but that has been since the 12th turret was introduced.

 

The wait times are sad. I can get over that, though. It will take some getting used to, but if it helps the game, I can live with it. However, the match making is sad right now. Legend battles were almost entirely Legend. Now? Heck I've seen Majors in with Legends so far.

 

I tried with Ricosck, an M2 rig. (Fully upgraded Boar Kit. It was decent, but not against Legends.) I tried, but this system isn't working. I know I was only one of very many who were pushing for release of the MM, but this wasn't ready. If this is anything like what you are hoping for, then I have lost all hope.

 

I had high hopes. Now I am just wondering if I should bother at all.

 

I'm down to only this account. Ricosck is retired as are my other four specialized accounts (which I retired after The Great Leveling last October).

 

The MM isn't working. Short battles are not much fun. That reset-thing it does after a few seconds, is that the battle restarting? Was I left in because I'd been in so short? If 10 minute battles are the norm now, I'm not happy.

 

Overall, the game is totally frustrating at the moment. The map changes are a very significant frustration.

 

As I stated before, that is dumb. It totally defeats the purpose of a test of the MM. The different maps make for instant disorientation. I doubt I'm the only legend who has every map practically memorized. I have my favorite maps absolutely memorize. I can generally drive backwards and not miss the turns. Now? Crap!

 

The maps are different enough to mess up standard strategies and tactics. These are skills I have developed with much effort and honed to precision. They are gone.

 

Tanki, you have repeatedly taken away my skills and made me start over. I can relearn my skills by starting over at the lowest rank. I find it only frustrating to have to start over with my fully upgraded equipment at this rank. Worse, you force it on me. I can either start relearning my strategies and tactics, starting over with trial and error, or I can quit. Damn close to quit.

 

I keep saying it. I assume it is tiring. I keep hoping you will improve things so I don't. There has been a steady decline in the game, a steady decline in fun, but also a steady increase of frustration. I'm not yet willing to give up. I figure I can outlast one more trial of the MM, but this one was an absolute fail. Absolute crap!

 

I cannot see how midranks are still playing.

 

 

We still get to play against WO3's :P.

In my most humble opinion. This is the most outrageous change that tanki could possibly think of making.  I believe that the game is fine just how it is.  I like how the game is without these changes. These changes just make completing missions more difficult and totally complicate the game. I think that it is unnecessary.

This new matchmaking system is terrible.  I cant choose what maps I want to play, so I dont know which hull, turret, or protection module to use.  And it seems way harder to join battles where my friends are playing.  If I cant join battles with friends or clan members, what is the point of playing Tanki?  Please take this change out of the game, and never bring it back.

Hi, I found this new system a bit of a drag as I have played a few games now but always have to wait till you can join, (there was 1 where I waited 1m 45s which I found very boring just sitting there waiting to join, and the trouble is you have no choice who you go into battle with, or what map you are playing on, also you cannot find your friends and join them if you want to.

There are certain battles and maps that I don't like to play on but you have no choice in this whatsoever, the battle they send you to that is it or you exit it and try to join another battle only to have to wait again.

Perhaps it is just me who has the problem with this as I am not a young person (62 lol) and I just find it very hard to adjust to all the waiting and not knowing what battle you will be involved in, and then when you join the battle you find out that you have the wrong turret wrong hull and wrong paint and you can't leave as you will have to join another battle so you still will not know what equipment  you will need for your tank

Also when you listen to the guy talking does everyone understand Russian as I am sorry to say I don't so I don't have a clue what he is saying which I find is pointless

Also there is no indication that you have achieved your mission status as you have to check it now and it doesn't automatically tell you, well that's my opinion and thanks for any comments.

WOW had to leave this as well just tried to join battle (average waiting time 20s) I waited 1m 54s talk about wasting your time doing nothing !!!!!!!! as I assume when more players join Tanki during the day you have to wait longer and less the players the less you have to wait ??? Any comments on this ??

• ​It helps to stop the 'cheating mode' of 'players', such as one player placing two own tanks in one battle  to accomplish daily missions, immediately leaving, when another one joins.
• Does not offer or reduces opportunities to place inactive tanks in another team for weakening opponents.

​Disadvantages:

• The right equipment cannot be selected in advance - neither hull, turret or colour - since one does not know on which map one appears. Why then having different equipment regarding effectiveness. Changing during the battle takes too long then.
• Waiting time for joining too long.

1. Scrap Overdrives
2. Scrap Matchmaking system

3. Revert Repair kit healing to the original.

4. Fix bugs
5. Make it easier to kick violators
6. Make it easier to punish violators

If you wanna play in specific map, go play PRO battle. Random battles are short and quick battles. just a press a button and start playing......

waiting times should be zero, if there's a tradeoff where i accept waiting times for "X" benefit then wth is "X"?

 

i would love to play pro battle except the other update removed missions from pro and i have super missions to work on
