Testing of Matchmaking System on EU servers

Please do not implement this Matchmaking system as a permant default feature.  It is terrible in so many ways.

 

One aspect I have not seen mentioned is waiting in queue like everyone else but coming in in the middle of a battle.  No matter how well you play, you will get a small crystal reward.  

 

Previously, I rarely joined battles with 50% or less time left because of the poor rewards.

 

Between waiting for the client to actuate, loading screens, finding my one daily mission and waiting in queue several times (wait for a game, load, and go right back to the queue again; frustrating) I spent half an hour to play for less than 5 minutes. 

 

I finally got into the last half of a game and got my mission complete but placed very low on the scoreboard (meaning few crystals) even though my K/D was over 5 to 1.  I was only in half the game and the scoring system gives all the rewards to the top players while the bottom players get almost nothing.

I think this really sucks. I don't want to have to wait over a minute (way uncool) and find out that I'm on a map I can't stand or don't want to play. I noticed that there was a better balance of ranks from the 3 deathmatches I played this evening, but I had no desire to play either map. and if I wanted to stay on the one map I enjoyed I got kicked off of it after the one play. That really sucks. Plus then I got rerouted back to the "lobby" and had to queue up again! Really?

Overall I am not pleased with this set up, and not too enthused about where this is going. I like to choose my own battles, and who I play with and for how long I want. It seemed like the battles were shorter/not as in depth and I couldn't access my missions while in play. Man, you can't seriously be thinking that this is a good move.

THIS UPDATE IS NOT SO GREAT YET

 

IT TAKES FOREVER TO LOAD.

 

I CAN'T PLAY NORMAL BATTLES TO COMPLETE MISSIONS WITHOUT WAITING FOR A WHOLE LIFETIME. 

 

PREVIOUSLY, YOU COULD SELECT WHATEVER BATTLE YOU WANTED. I THINK THAT OPTION TO CREATE NORMAL BATTLES (where you can complete missions). SHOULD BE THERE

OTHERWISE IT'S JUST UNFAIR FOR REGULAR PLAYERS WITH BAD INTERNET

 

I KNOW YOU GUYS WILL CHANGE IT HERE AND THERE BUT LET'S MAKE THE LOADING A TOP PRIORITY. 

 

 PEOPLE ARE ALSO COMPLAINING SAYING THAT THE BATTLES ARE VERY UNFAIR FOR RANKS BELOW MARSHALL. THEY ARE PUT IN BATTLES WHERE LEGENDS ARE ON 1 SIDE AND LOW RANKERS ON THE OTHER. 

 

 

MAIN THINGS TO FIX:

1. LOADING

2. RANKS OF PLAYERS PLACED INTO BATTLES SHOULD BE STANDARDIZED (IN A BRACKET OF PARTICULAR RANKS)

I think it is really bad way to fix some problems with battle makings. Forcing players to play random maps with random rank limits that he doesnt want and putting him "that" as the only way to complete missions ( which from now on, he is not even able to see his progress through, which reason is i really dont know ) is a terrible solution. It was hard enough to find non-PRO battle ( before test ) to complete your mission even then, but now its terrible, i was just lucky to get like collect boxes misssion because i wouldnt probably complete any as it looks. If you ask me, it takes too long for system to put you in battle like 30-40 seconds minumum. I would rather go to battle list and choose excactly what rank limit i want, map want and duration i want. Seems that i will only use this system for missions. And again why can i not see missions while i play, even if i play PRO battles? I dont think this will fit the game at all. Just keep it the way it was before, it was great, and who needs mobile version? You would probably break your phone faster than when you play Clash Royale :P  So bye matchmaking system, i gotta go, play some useful Poly CP and catch some golds with normal ranks and map. By the way, here is some broken footage from gameplay from 20 mins ago, like Legend rank in middle of those battle? And those 2 battle are like 2/4 i played so its broken...

You guys took us the freedom to choose a battle / map which we like to enter. Now we are pushed like sheep, thrown in random battle, we can´t choose a team, either. To lose control and make us blind is one of the worst thing you could have done ;( Don´t like it at all and will give up playing until you fix it back.

Why don't you choose our equipment for us at random?  Totally fair since anyone could get the Fire/Wasp or the Mammoth/Shaft.

 

Random maps, random teams, random equipment...and all with long waits!  Perfect!

I just played 3 battles (ctf, cp, tdm). I thought all the battles were going to be balanced, at least that's what I read. They are not balanced. I didn't look at the team line-up after being logged into a battle. I was wondering why I was doing so poorly, now I know why. 

 

I have Shaft M1. I couldn't kill anyone. Some of the shots were dead on, but didn't register at all. The ones that did register were less than 200 hit points. Still others were less than 100. Never saw that before. It was like everyone had a fully upgraded module against Shaft. I shot a Wasp point blank range and I felt like he was just laughing at me. I even hit him twice in arcade mode.....that was a big laugh, too. After the opposing team realized how weak my turret was against them, they did not fear me at all. I hit a Mammoth with a full load and did only 84 damage. 

 

I don't pick battles where my rank is at the very bottom of the list. I know I won't stand a chance and become fodder for every turret. Now, I have no choice in the matter. Freedom of Choice has been taken away. Maybe that's fine for a Country under a Dictatorship (or is it an Oligarchy?), but it's not for the Free World.

 

Sorry if I stepped on some toes in that last statement. I know Politics aren't suppose to be discussed here, but sometimes, inadvertently, it is stumbled upon. 

 

I clicked on the last option on the list (pick a battle?) where the servers are. I was sent to Server 3 where there were a lot of Generals and Legends. Not my type of battle. I tried to change servers but was sent back to the lobby. I clicked on it again, this time I was in Server 1. Nope, didn't want that one either. I clicked to change servers and was sent back to the lobby....again. Maybe there is some freedom of choice there, but you certainly don't make it very easy. 

 

A friend tried to make group battle. Nothing was happening. I told him to choose a battle. He asked me "How do I do that?" I said just click on a battle mode, like CTF." He said, "I can't. All the buttons are blanked out." He was the one who invited us and was ranking player of the group. All the others said they had the same thing. None of us could pick a battle mode. 

 

I noticed changes to maps. Actually, of the 3 I played, the only one I noticed a change was Brest CP. No cp inside the buildings. I like that. They never belonged inside the buildings to begin with. I played TDM on that Christmas/NewYears map. Kinda missed seeing the tree. 

 

While I was in the queue for a battle, it said average waiting time was 5 seconds. Those 5 seconds turned into 2 minutes. There were 384 in the queue. 

 

When the battle first starts, there is some lag that lasts about 1 to 2 minutes (seems to vary) and the graphics are a bit grainy, but then it clears up.

I love it. Why? Because I can create pro battles for free. I am currently getting more enjoyment from this game in this one day than I have in the past several months, because I can play on maps I like or in Space mode.

IF YOU WANT PEOPLE TO QUIT TANKI ONLINE GO ON AND IMPLEMENT THIS MATCHMAKING SYSTEM TO THE GAME!

 

I BELIEVE EVERY PLAYER IN TANKI ONLINE WOULD WANT TO CHOOSE THEIR OWN MAPS/BATTLES. IF YOU WANNA IMPLEMENT THIS MATCHMAKING SYSTEM THE DAILY MISSIONS SHOULD INCLUDE PRO BATTLES AS WELL. PLAYERS CHOOSE THEIR HULLS AND TURRETS AND MATCH THEM WITH THEIR PLAYING STYLE AND CHOOSE MAPS ACCORDINGLY. SO AGAIN PLEASE BRING BACK THE BATTLES LIST AS IT WAS BEFORE OR INCLUDE THE PRO BATTLES TO THE DAILY MISSIONS SO THAT PLAYERS CAN CHOOSE THEIR FAVORITE MAPS.

 

CHANGE IS LIKE SALT. CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT, TOO MUCH OF IT IS NOT GOOD, AND A LITTLE BIT OF IT IS TASTIER.

Can't even pick my own battles, so many have been stacked with higher ranked so not much different to now. I prefer to choose my battles as some maps are preferable. Thanks for another useless update tanki, just making the game less accessible. Why play with friends when you can play with nobody.
