Testing of Matchmaking System on EU servers

Hallo,

 

First i say the change i notice in tanki new update:

1. I cannot check mission status when i am in battle. Discomfort

2. I need to wait every time for going in battle for missions and i cannot see who i am playing with before battle start. Discomfort.

3. All matches only 10 mins, less scope of finish mission in one battle and earn less crystals. Discomfort.

4. This I don't understand. If the match making system work then how come i play DM with legends sometimes and again with captain and third lieutenant? 

 

I like the change in some maps made by tanki like highland map where i play with legends and m4s and die so many time because of match making.

 

I don't like new update old method better.

I'm sure I'm not alone, but I designed my tank to perform best on certain maps, in certain battle formats. With the new system being tested, I don't have the options that help my tank perform best. I've gone from routinely 1rst or second in a battle, to third or fourth from last!

 

The  system also doesn't allow me to choose where my Isida would help....sometimes too many Isidas, sometimes I'm alone. It just doesn't make sense. The teams are mismatched moreso than if tankers had the choice of where the will battle. A team of high rankers against a team of lower ranks....Gosh, who's going to win?

 

I hope this new system doesn't stay. I've been here for years, but will move along if this matchmaking system stays

@BlackWasp come on. You were with the losing team, it wasn't out of members but it's members sucked, low rank/noobs/m2's etc...

Yeah as I wrote: it does not match players by battle efficiency yet, it takes only the rank.

 

In this one particularly bad battle the problem was that the players

- did not play to support their team (Serpuchov - an IsidaHornet spawned infront of my heavily damaged TitanTwins, Turned away from me and went for an attack).

- the usage of drugs was very inbalanced (one team drugged way more then the other)

 

But as Hazel said: matchmaking can take a lot of things into account.. but it does not do it yet.

In the meanwhile if just takes ranks and that's it. This will improve over time (longterm).

OMG this bullsh*t sucks. i swear i am playing with LEGENDS as i am a warrant officer 5 and this is like crazy when the battle ends it shows i died like 54 TIMES and the battle ends quickly. and this causes like SUPREME LAG and i end up having to force quit and reload the page and wait for like 15 minutes, i think this update COMPLETELY SUCKS. if you implement this, long story short, somebody can have my account because ill be done with tanki.

A long while back I chatted with some friends about the matchmaking, and I told them, that it works great in games like Overwatch, where you have access to many weapons and characters. So you are sent to a map and can have a free pick of your gear.

 

Here in Tanki you can not do this. Some maps are awesome for a certain combo, while others truely benefit the same combo.

 

Either they design some way more balanced maps where all combos have their place to be, or they should display the map you will be sent to while you load it.. so you can reject the load (someone else takes your spot) and you try the next map.

this update is a fookin disgrace , you have destroyed tanki , if the dirty druggers tanki seem to encourage isnt bad enough , now you have finnaly killed the cocapt of the game .....tanki is dead ......R I P  tanki ..goodbye . i am off to play world of tanks !

Well said!

If I came up with such a bright idea of running this update live for the company I work for, I would immediately be fired for lack of competence and "feel" with our clients.

 

Tanki Online however does not work like a modern well structured orginazation, it works like a bunch of incompetent amateurs that would fit perfectly in corrupt Russia, but not in modern civilization.

dear tanki my name is bigguns.jr i would appreciate if the new update didnt come permament because i love this game i play it almost everyday and wont stop so please dont make permanet or i wont play any more so pls pls pls dont make it permanemt.  The difficulty is to complicated and have to push to may buttons when i can easylily go back to the way it was befrore and not have any trouble.  thx hope my feed back helps

TO should work out a change fully before letting the players suffer it. No surprise here, the same mistake has been made for many previous updates. Get it out half-working with many obvious problems, with maybe some (but not all) issues getting sorted later.

 

Even when just considering ranks, matchmaking fails to achieve even rank distribution in the teams in many occasions (don't think it's only caused by the battlegroup feature).

Add my vote as another NOT a fan.

 

Every update that has taken away our ability to choose the maps, battles, players and teams we want to be on has been a bad update.  Unfortunately that has been the direction of most of these updates.  

 

Since drugs are mission rewards and in the shop, there is really no point in complaining about them in general, they are as much part of the game as buying a kit or upgrading your equipment.  But the overdrive gives an instant advantage to a big pod of tanks where they haven't earned it.  Overdrive is a fun gimmick, but it really sucks some of the skill out of it.  It should have been a temporary/holiday kind of deal.  It's not so cool as a permanent feature. 

 

The update removing our ability to create battles and/or complete missions in battles we created was pretty bad.  The disappearance of the variety of maps that used to be available when we could create battles is discouraging.  This update though -- where we cannot really even choose the battles we'd like to join -- is the worst yet. 

 

The battles we can in theory create are meaningless -- no mission completions, and no one goes to them.  So our ability to create meaningful battles is still gone.  But now we cannot even CHOOSE meaningful battles.  We can't get missions done in created battles or pro battles, so we're stuck with the random, limited maps, lopsided battles, mismatched players, and haphazard situations provided by the matching system.  I'm sure you can work out the glitches, but this update at its core is another big step in the wrong direction.

Tankers!

 

With tomorrow’s server restart, we’ll be implementing a test version of the Matchmaking System on all EU servers.

 

The test is intended to run for 48 hours, till 02:00 UTC on Thursday 10th. However, developers might decide to end the test earlier if it causes any kind of undesirable effect on the game.

 

The reason the test is being run on the main EU servers instead of just the test server, is that we would like to see how it performs with a real server load and player distribution, rather than in the controlled environment of a test server.

P.S. The test will be carried out exclusively on EU servers, and will not be run on US servers.

This is how developer's logic works for this game and almost every single crappy update it had in past 3 years.

STEP ONE: Create a useless feature which no one will use

STEP TWO: Keep changing the game, call it "UPDATING".

STEP THREE: Keep on "updating" until players are completely forced to use it

STEP FOUR: Completely ignore what 90% of the players think and focus on 10% of those who're like "meh ok" and "Legends" 

STEP FIVE: Say "Updates are permanent" and move on

Matchmaking System in tanki

In TankiX the new system has made me lose patience and do not play anymore

 

tanki online is good,

but today noooo, open the game.. this system = TankiX = disaster

 

Ok I try to play the same

my system crash 1, 2, 3, 4 times rebut internet site tankionline 5 times.. ok good

 

I could not even play a game

 

Bad things:

Can't chose the map,

Do not consider the efficiency of the battle,

You can not choose the server for the battle,

You can not choose the battle mode,

Too long to load the battle,

You can find teams with 90% too qualified for your level...

 

Proposals:

Before it was much better

Decrease the amount of players for games with big game layouts

When the server starts to have 70% of the load it does not give you access

Put simply, Tanki should never have implemented - let alone even think of designing - this DOWNgrade. My disappointment with Tanki grew each day but after this DOWNgrade I think they have reached my limit.

 

Let's see if they are smart enough to create an english and seperate russian speaking server system where the player can decide what map to play, fairly balanced. This would technically be easy to apply, and it would attract players.

It is a undesirable update. The difference in the maps are pretty cool. Polygon mostly.

Developers?   Yoo hoo!!!  Can you say, "undesirable effect" when a vast majority of players are saying it sucks, isn't that undesirable?  I'm sure it was a cool programming project to implement this stinking pile of donkey dung, but don't fall in love with your code.  Trash this one.  Make the right decision and end the test early!  Thanks!

As I see it, the MM is far from perfect. Good thing they've decided to let us test it instead of introducing it right away.

The waiting time is ok. Now I wait maximum 4-5 minutes /day in the queue which is a bit less than the amount of time I was spending searching for a Fire-Wasp with places available.

Friends became of less use than before. Not nice, but at least we can create a group so the issue isn't as significant.

Teams are unbalanced. This is probably the worst thing about MM. Here is where some more work needs to be done.

The new crystal awarding formula is beneficial to me, but it is probably going to lead to more imbalance between players in the long run.

It would be also nice if we wouldn't have to press the button yet again after changing equipment.

 

Off topic: 

 

 

When you see that guy (Mr. Burangulov) in the VLOG you know there are some bad news for most of the players. I really like the way he talks when he gives us the bad news  :lol:

 

 

Of course you see benefits in MM. In MM update benefits is a thing that only M4 Druggers get! Weaker players dont get any benefits against Legend ranked tankers that "sabotages" them with drugs. They get more crys for more drugs for more crys for more drugs..........

Try to think about this update as a player that is in ranks Third Lieutenant ->General, not as a Legend

so how does a General compare to a legend 27/28? is that a fair rank difference?

 

plus if i like a battle how do i continue?? i have to get kicked then click the button again instead of staying in the map im on

What is wrong with you people (developers)?

 

First you take away our ability to play with English speaking players and now you have screwed us out of being able to even enter the game easily!

 

I have spent hard earned money to play this game and what you have done is akin to robbery. 

 

Fix your screw up and do it fast while you still have people wanting to play the game.

They don't know what's wrong with them. They dont even think anything is wrong with them. They dont see this, because they dont even read this. What a waste of time...

WHY is there a team of majors with 1 legend against a whole team of legends? matchmaking system should NOT BE PUT in it will make the game extremely horrible if they do it.
