124 pages on english forum about testing machmaking system, 95 % players hate MM. And what more we have to talk about it ? 

Impement this update and watch how players leave this game. Is not so much bad update, It's just very badly made. 

So many things to fix: rank brecket, you can not choose map on which you will be playing, to much sabotage for a mission when is mission type supplies boxes, capture flags and much more things to fix.

thats what the problem is. WE DONT ------- WANT TO PLAY IN REGULAR BATTLES OR MATCHMAKING SYSTEM. we dont want to face drugs which help you earn. we just want to complete long missions in battle of our choice so that game does not get boring. otherwise just after seeing 50 kills mission. I fear of not completing mission and on the other hand I can play xp/bp for an hour where I can actually enjoy the game as well as complete my mission SIDE BY SIDE NOT SEPARATELY. TANKI IS HUNGRY FOR MONEY !!!!!!!!!! imma leave this ------ game soon. I dont wanna waste my time and money where you cant play on your own choice.

The moron that thought up this matchmaking system needs to be sacked. I will not play when this garbage comes to pass, and neither will many others.

are tanki online deaf or stupid, or perhaps both? listen to what people are telling you, look at the number of players now compared to a couple of years ago, imagine how much worse it is going to get when this crazy system is implemented.

its simple. they made MMS and removed mission from pro battles so that people re forced to do missions with druggers which keeps the game's economy stable. A person will only invest on equipment once or may be twice but since they want regular money thats why supplies are their number 1 income source according to me. If we are not forced to play with them who is going to buy and use supplies in NON-pro battles? simple thing. just benefitting themselves

 

 

 

 

Well, what a long story. I have read all of this long newspaper article on what people like and their opinions on the matchmaking system and future suggestion to fine to this amazing filtering system.

 

I am so happy that some of my posts and opinions have made its way into this newspaper for the very first time.

 

Me, RIDDLER_8 has stated above that I really like the matchmaking system so much. The matchmaking system interface is causing too much clutter for players who plays Tanki Online on small computer screen. My suggestion is to reduce the wasted space in the graphical user interface (GUI) design of the matchmaking system.

 

The graphical user interface of the matchmaking system can only have square tiled buttons like Windows 10 Apps that will greatly reduce wasted space and make way for, later on, adding more battle modes to the matchmaking system. A good battle mode to add to the matchmaking system would be Assault Mode. This is a mode that is played in the Christmas and Happy New Year event every year, so my suggestion is to have Assault Mode to become a permanent battle mode for the matchmaking system and the standard battle list.

 

I have seen during the matchmaking system test that they were lags, bugs and technical glitches that caused the web browser and client to crash and players get kicked out during the middle of battles and lose their progress. This is a problem that must be fixed as development proceeds.

 

HTML5 will soon replace the old Flash technology and this will fix all lags, bugs and glitches as expected by developers and players. When Tanki Online gets completely re-written into HTML5 it is supposed to completely remove all those errors including the slow loading problem when first entering Tanki Online upon opening your web browser or client.

 

I hope that the matchmaking system will give players the freedom to complete daily missions in custom battles once again, but this time, disabling the ability to play with friends to avoid abusing daily missions. For super 9999 kills and 99,999 XP missions, the matchmaking system should create a special environment where Generalissimos and Legend ranked players can destroy Recruits so that those players with super missions can complete them faster so that they can finish them quicker and earn their big crystals and supply rewards so that those players can spend them efficiently during holiday sales.

 

The matchmaking system should also give players the ability to create fully customizable custom battles where players can further customize battles like being able to choose what map, turrets, hulls, paints or modules to allow or restrict in custom battles. Custom battles should be more customizable than the current Pro battles at the moment.

 

The matchmaking system must also allow players to improve their mastery level of turret usage. In Tanki Online, the matchmaking system should give players the ability to earn skill points when destroying enemy targets and earning +1 crystal, +1 XP, and +1 mastery level for experience usage of turrets.

There's a reason why the majority of the players don't play on the unpopular maps... because they don't like them... so there's no point for players to be sent to them just making them have to leave it and wait again for the MMS to send them to hopefully a more satisfying map.

This probably why the maps have been re worked, there is always room for improvement. From what we had available during the test you could see that changes were made to certain degree, I don't like what they did with Brest and solimkams, but tribute, polygons, silence and some other are more interesting.

I would tend to agree with most people on the forum - don't fix it if ain't broken!

 

In other words you are barking up the wrong tree and from the comments you make it sounds as if you are not going to listen.

As a player I prefer choice and that is what the current system offers players of all shapes and sizes - take that away and it would be to the detriment of Tanki Online.

 

1.) Certain tank and weapon combinations works best for certain maps and styles - thus if the system chooses for me I will be at a great disadvantage in some places with all enjoyment flying out the window.

 

2.) There would need to be some major refinements for me to be happy with the MM system - sure there are always bugs when testing something new, but that format is such a huge departure from Tanki's current format that it represents a whole new game with a different upgrading strategy etc. - in other words I have just wasted years to build on what I have now should you implement something even remotely like what the test was.

 

3.) You mention that some maps are empty - sometimes that is actually nice to have less crowds on a map - especially the smaller maps - while I am not really a one on one player - it keeps things interesting when you have adjust strategy to the number of players on a map or in your team. So yes , I do not always want umpteen players on a map.

 

4.) I Would suggest that you create two server nodes - one with the current format and the other with your MM format once you have refined it - that way you give us even more choice - I do suspect though that the latter will be far less popular.

 

 

It is not that I do not like change - I welcome constructive change, but by the same token this process comes across as a bit ham handed and you may find that players will vote with their feet and go elsewhere.

If the developers are reading this then please think every possible outcome before implementing a new system because it can affect the popularity of the respective game.I want this game to be more popular than COD or Battlefield.   

Unfortunately there is no guarantee that the dev will venture that far in the forum, you will have more chance for the dev to see your post if you post your comment/feedback on the main topic: Testing of Matchmaking System on EU servers.

There should be a system in the matchmaking system that allows Legend players to play with Recruits so that those Legend players can earn easy kills with specific turrets and hulls.

People don't like change. For myself I have been playing Tanki Online for a few years now and I have to say I "Love" the Matchmaking System and it would be one of the best updates they came out with in a very long time. I had many bad feelings and things to say at first about it but after getting used to it and being forced to play on a few maps I would normally never do, it made the game more exciting and alive. In my experience within the 2 day test I found a very wide array of game play on various maps that haven't been played on in a good year or so, maps were always full, not one mult in the time playing and as for my missions I got them done in the same if not less time than I did before. It has a few glitches but I am sure those can be worked out.

After playing the Matchmaking System and then going back to the old way it was like night and day. Everyone went back to playing the same old maps that they normally do which makes the game so repetitive and boring.

As for playing with friends on the same map that is what Pro Battles are for, no loss here.

The Matchingmaking System took me back to when I first started Tanki where all the servers were full and pretty much every map that's listed was being played. There was variety, it was balanced, fun and exciting.

I fully support the Matchmaking System.

Honestly, this is the dumbest update ever. 

Advantages

I guess it's supposed to be quicker?

Disadvantages, 

Its not much quicker. You could fix the "Quickness" Of joining battles by merging the servers, and also making a "search" Slot for popular maps like polygon and serpuhov ( I may be spelling it wrong) 

And if you don't want one sided games, don't add features like overdrive!! Overdrive adds in the aspect of battles that the winning team accomplishes more, therefore getting more overdrives, and then with more often overdrives, accomplishes more again, and its a vicious cycle. The overdrive addition is what made your situation so bad. Please, do not add the matchmaking system. I know you don't really care about the players opinion in these updates, but the only two updates I can think of that made the game more fun are: The recent repair kit update, and the smart cooldowns, but recently, they reload quick enough that THAT is useless too. And you can't choose your maps. Although other popular MMO games don't choose the maps either, that was one of the things I like about tanki, you could choose your own maps! Not having matchmaking was what set tanki apart. tanki has already become dull, You should rebalance tanki again, and remove things like, supplies, and product kits. THEN your battles wouldn't be dull. Tanki was fun, but then you became so greedy. You should have kept it the way it was, before kits, maybe after you get out of this financial hole your in, you should rebalance. Honestly, I don't want matchmaking in the game, because I CARE. Tanki will die, and the player numbers will disappear, and I will quit as well. You probably had another 30-40 dollars out of me.

At first, I wasn't happy with the test update. I played maps i never seen before, but thats a good thing to.

Now people learn to play all different maps.

And the thing about "need other turrets and hulls" for either maps, thats bull.

In this account and my Legend account, i Always used fire/rico in every map. and i still do it now.

Its about the skill someone have with a turret and know how to handel it ingame, so in almost all games i ended first.

Even in maps i didnt know.

A tip for people who play new maps, just drive a quick round around the map while killing the enemy en try to remember te spots and walls.

 

Second, About the friend system, i usally dont play with friends alot, But sometimes its not fun you cant join a friend while they are in a MMS battle, They also should add it n friend list, That they are ingame but you cant press the battle they are in. So you know they are playing and not being AFK in chat.

 

Third, The waiting time was to much in my opinion, Ofcourse tanki will work on that.

 

At last, The forced disconecting after a batle is anoying,

You just started to talk with people and want to play with them again in the same map in MMS, but you cant due the auto kick, that should be fixe that you can stay if you want, the MMS can put people in fast. And if it is not fast enough then make the time longer till match starts again.

 

So on the end, The MMS is a good idea, but it need some work to make it beter.

I disagree wholeheartedly. While the diversity of maps is a topic that can go either way, try using firebird effectively on MASSACRE. And if you go get rico, then you might get 8 minutes tops of fun...

I like your suggestion. Hazel said in the previous V-LOG that they're reworking the system and looking into creating a compromise.

Its honestly pretty obvious why oowee said what he said. Short range players like to NOT get stuck on massacre. Tanki has become so P2W that you can't have two combinations that are both medium powerful without paying at least 20 dollars a month. I'm willing to pay money for entertainment, but not to this extent.

Friends

 

Friends are a beautiful system in the game. People began complaining that it's become much harder to play with friends in Matchmaking battles. Yes, you have the 'Group' feature, but that only allows four other players. Besides that, in regular (non-MM) battles, there are a lot more ways to play with friends. Friends could randomly join if they feel like it, and in MMS battles they cannot. You could invite friends if you feel you want to, and in MMS battles you cannot. You can have more than four friends in a battle at a time, and in the MMS you can, but it could only happen by chance.

 

To those people I say "so what?"

Well, you see... There are these things called other, better, games, which are far nicer to players with friends and even encourage people to make new ones... I may just go to one of them instead.

 

Also that is a horrible attitude. Like seriously.

 

Also... Why? What purpose does the matchmaking system serve? How can we trust the Devs to make this system work if they can't give you 10xp per kill in DM? (Seriously, it's not that hard.) Who says they will do anything with it anyway? Remember the Clan system? So far all I have gotten from that is a bunch of people asking me to join the clan... Mmmm worth it.

You can't choose the map you want to play in. However - and read this slowly - no successful/popular game has ever existed where it's matchmaking allowed you to fully choose the map you want (CoD, Battlefield, Battlegrounds and such MMO games allow you to choose between three choices: Map A, Map B or Random Map).   let me say this i never played any of these games nor do i choose too leave the matchmaking system the way it is an you wont have a game with enough players to support it since they will be gone off else where

The thing that bothers me the most about this whole topic is the attitude of the developers towards the comments of the players. To have a superior product, you tailor the product to the needs of your customers(players) and you don't shove your changes down their throats. General Motors did that in the United States in the 1970s and as a result they are no longer the world's largest automobile manufacturer. The general tone of the Vlog and to some extent this blog is we are going to do what we want and if you don't like it too bad. Very poor, customer service and not something that I would expect from Tanki. Remember, your game is not the only one in town!!

I am sorry but the new system is terrible. I do not like full battles, there is less skill. I also only like maps that are large, I use a long range gun and like playing other similar players. I have just been on Massacre and it was great. Thinking who to pick off, moving to avoid being hit. No players just running at you and firing fire or ice in your face!

 

I want to pick my map and use the equipment I enjoy using- this is just a game for fun and if it stops being fun because you are forced to do certain  things you do not want to then why play?
